Keep your fingers, hair, jewelry, and clothing away from the moving inner and outer jaws! There is a risk of injury!

Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed. Therefore, keep batteries out of the reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical help immediately.

Make sure that the engine has stopped before removing the battery compartment cover.

Remove the batteries from the device if you plan to store the device for a long time. This will prevent the motor from starting up unintentionally and batteries from leaking due to overlay.

Do not use the device for lids that are smaller than 30 mm or larger than 88 mm in diameter.

Do not use the device on lids that are curved, uneven or have any other uneven shape. Even if you see that the lid is broken or there is broken glass around the lid, you must not use the device.

Always place the glass on a non-slip surface.

Do not immerse the item in water.

Check the item for damage before each use.

The article may not be used if it is visibly damaged.

Do not take the item apart. Have repairs carried out by a specialist workshop only.

Replace used batteries with new ones immediately. Otherwise you could leak and damage the device.

If a battery should leak, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If necessary, rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor immediately.

Protect batteries from excessive heat.

If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting them. Risk of overheating!

Only replace used batteries with batteries of the same type. Always replace the batteries at the same time.

Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These could damage the surface of the device. If necessary, wipe the device with a slightly damp, soft cloth.

The device is not dishwasher-safe.

Do not take batteries apart, do not throw them into fire or immerse them in liquids!

Do not try to recharge dead batteries!

Should the appliance become damaged, do not use it and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the appliance or try repairing it yourself.
Operation
Intended Use
This appliance is designed to open standard round jars with comfort and ease.
It is designed for personal use and not suitable for commercial use.
Inserting the Batteries
- Slide the battery compartment cover from the housing.
- Place 2 batteries of the type LR6 (AA) into the battery compartment (3). Pay attention to the proper polarity of the batteries. The polarity is printed inside the battery compartment. Use alkaline batteries.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place. You must feel and hear it click into position.
Notes: Always replace both batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types. The appliance will not work if the battery compartment cover is removed.
Using the Jar Opener
Warning! Never place your fingers in or near to the clamping jaws when
operating the appliance.
- Always remove any safety packaging externally applied to the glass jar.
- Once the jar has been placed on a level and non-slip surface, place the appliance in a central position on the lid.
- Push down the start button (1) for approx. 3 seconds until the internal clamping jaws (4) have started to move. The external clamping jaws (5) will move inwards until they have a firm hold on the glass. The internal clamping jaws will push down firmly on the lid and rotate to open the lid.
- Never leave the device unattended if it is switched on. Allow the appliance to rotate until the lid has opened.
- Once the lid has opened, the clamping jaws will return to their original position and stop moving automatically.
- Once the appliance has switched itself off, remove it from the lid. Always ensure that the lid has been unscrewed fully. Always hold the jar firmly in one hand whilst removing the lid with the other.
- In order to re-open a jar which has been stored in the fridge, first wipe off the moisture from the lid and the glass jar. Any form of moisture on the lid, such as condensation etc. may cause the appliance’s clamping jaws to slip.
Stopping Operation
If you wish to stop the operation, e.g. because the jar is closed too firmly,
simply press down again on the start button for approx. 3 seconds. The
clamping jaws will return to their initial position.
Maintenance and Care
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or rinse it under running water.
- Do not use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents
- Remove the battery compartment cover from the appliance and take the batteries out.
- If necessary, wipe the appliance clean using a slightly damp cloth and a little mild cleaning fluid.
