ASRock NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series
Product Information
The NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series is a compact and customizable desktop computer that requires the installation of memory, hard drive, and M.2 SSD. It comes with a 19V/120W power adapter for i7 SKU and a 19V/90W power adapter for i5/i3 SKU. The package contents include a power cord (by request), M.2 screw, bracket for M.2 2280 support, VESA mount bracket and screw package, quick installation guide, and audio (mic-in, line-out), USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type C, supports DP1.4a display output), USB 4 (supports DP1.4a display output), USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type A), DC-IN, HDMI, and RJ-45 ports. The product also includes safety and regulatory information for compliance.
Product Usage Instructions
Memory Installation
To install the memory modules (DDR4), follow these steps:
- Carefully insert the DDR4 SO-DIMM memory modules into the SO-DIMM slots at a 30-degree angle.
- Push down until the modules snap into place.
- Note: For dual-channel configuration, always install identical (the same brand, speed, size, and chip-type) DDR4 SO-DIMM pairs.
WiFi Module Installation
If you have a WiFi module, you can install it by following these steps:
- Locate the WiFi module slot on the motherboard.
- Carefully insert the WiFi module into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the WiFi module to the motherboard.
M.2 SSD Installation
To install M.2 SSD (Type 2260), follow these steps:
- Attach the two screws to the base of the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series.
- Locate the M.2 slot on the motherboard and install the standoff.
- Carefully insert the M.2 SSD into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the M.2 SSD to the motherboard.
Hard Drive Installation
To install a 2.5-inch hard drive, follow these steps:
- Locate the hard drive bay on the bottom of the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series.
- Remove the four screws from the hard drive bay cover.
- Slide the hard drive into the bay and attach it with four screws.
- Replace the hard drive bay cover and tighten the four screws.
VESA Mount Bracket Installation
To install the VESA mount bracket, follow these steps:
- Release the screw and remove the bracket from the motherboard.
- Attach the VESA bracket to the rear of a compatible display using the four screws.
- Mount the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series by sliding it into place.
Warranty Term
- Warranty of host of NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series super microcomputer (casing excluded): 1 year
- Warranty of transformer (including the plug) and wireless module: 1 year
- Our warranty does not cover the casing of the product, the CD drive, the metal frame, and fastenings and screws, or packaging accessories.
- Data stored in the product may be lost as a result of the repair work or re-formatting of the hard drive disk. We do not provide data recovery services or data storage.
- Please back up your data regularly to protect the data and avoid loss. For details of our warranty terms, please refer to the individual warranty statement applicable to the district where your product was bought
Safety & Regulatory Information
- Failure to use the included Power Adapter may violate regulatory compliance and may expose the user to safety hazards.
- Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Batteries should be recycled where possible. Disposal of used Batteries must be in accordance with local environmental regulations

Product Overview
To use DisplayPort as a display output, please connect your monitor/display to HDMI Port when installing the OS system. DisplayPort only supports DP to HDMI dongle and DP to DVI dongle and does not support DP to D-Sub dongle
SO-DIMM Slots
How to Install the Memory Modules (DDR4)
- Carefully insert the SO-DIMM memory modules into the slot at a 30-degree angle
- Push down until the modules snap into place.
Note:
- The NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series requires DDR4 SO-DIMM.

WiFi Module
How to Install the WiFi Module (Optional)
- Locate the WiFi Module slot on the motherboard
- Carefully insert the WiFi Module into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the WiFi Module to the motherboard
Bracket
How to Remove the M.2 SSD (Type 2280) and the Bracket
- Release the screw and carefully remove the M.2 SSD (Type 2280).
- Release the screw and remove the bracket from the motherboard
M.2 SSD
How to Install the M.2 SSD (Type 2260)
- Locate the M.2 slot on the motherboard. Install the standoff.
- Carefully insert the M.2 SSD into the slot.
- Tighten the screw to secure the M.2 SSD to the motherboard
2.5-inch Hard Drive: How to Install the Hard Drive
- Remove the four screws on the bottom case. then lift up and remove the bottom panel.
- Attach the HDD to the hard drive mounting bracket and secure it using the four screws. en connect the SATA Data and Power Cable to the HDD.
- Attach the HDD assembly to the bottom panel and secure it using the four screws
- Connect the SATA Cable to the connector.
- Then reinstall the bottom panel

How to Install the VESA Bracket

Attach the two screws to the base of the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series

Attach the VESA Bracket to the rear of a compatible display using the four screws.
Choose mounting holes depending on the mounting hole pattern of your LCD screen (75 mm × 75 mm or 100 mm × 100 mm). -
Mount the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series by sliding it into place.
Positions of the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series
The NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series can be placed in a vertical or horizontal positions .
Please note that keeping the NUC 1300/D4 BOX Series in a vertical position will ensure better cooling performance
