WATTECO 50-70-108 ClosO LoRaWAN Sensor
Product Information
The Clos’O is a wireless sensor device designed to detect the position of gates and doors. It has a magnet housing and a sensor that communicates with each other wirelessly, and it comes with optional shims for proper alignment. The device has an anti-tampering button and is certified to be in conformity with Directive 2014/53/EU (RED) and UKCA.
Product Usage Instructions
- Positioning on the gate: The device should be mounted on the gate or door frame in a way that the angular corners of the sensor and the magnet box face each other. The sensor must be aligned with the magnet box. For proper alignment, optional shims are provided which can be placed on the back of the magnet housing. The magnet housing can also be screwed to a flat surface.
- Fastening collars: Use the provided fastening collars to secure the device in place. Make sure to insert them in the correct direction as indicated by the slots.
- Power ON: Press and hold the button for 1 second to turn on the device. The front view LED will light up, and a beep sound will be heard after 3-5 seconds.
- Power OFF: Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds to turn off the device. A beep sound will be heard after 3-5 seconds.
- Wait: After turning on or off the device, wait for a few seconds before using it again.
- Minimum and Maximum values: The device has minimum and maximum values for post width, the distance between door-leaves, and other parameters. Please refer to the user manual for these values.
- Radio coverage: Check the radio coverage with the Netw’O to ensure proper communication between the sensor and magnet box. Avoid excessive radio attenuation by limiting the number of obstacles in the path of communication.

Positioning on gate
- To overcome the problem of alignment of the magnet housing (1), optional shims (2) are provided which are placed on the back of the magnet housing. The magnet housing can also be screwed to a flat surface. (screws not included)
- The angular corners of the sensor and the magnet box must face each other. The sensor must be aligned with the magnet box.
- In order to avoid slipping, the enclosure must be fixed with fastening collars, which must be mounted on the flat surface of the post. The clamp must be effective to prevent the sensor from moving but must be kept to a minimum so as not to damage the enclosure. The fastening collars are mounted from the back of the housing through the slots and exit on the other side of the housing. Slots are aligned and spaced at 16mm intervals allowing the collars to be positioned to suit the gate dimensions. The housing must be in contact with a flat surface. The Anti-tampering button must be in contact with the flat surface of the post.
Radio propagation
- Check the radio coverage with the Netw’O.
- For the sensor communicates correctly, the number of obstacles should be limited to avoid excessive radio attenuation.
