Notes for network separation
The product has no power switch and may be used only in easily accessible outlets to quickly remove it in an emergency and after use.

  • Voltage-free only with pulled plug.
  • In case of emergency, during thunderstorms and after use, pull the product on its plug housing!

Overload

  • Do not plug in a row.
  • Never operate appliances such as irons, radiant heaters, kettles, coffee makers, toasters, etc., which are subject to supervision during operation, with a timer, as there is a risk of fire.

Risk of electric shock
These timers are ONLY intended for connection to German socket outlets with earthing contact. Otherwise, a correct connection with the protective earth conductor and thus safe protection against electric shock cannot be guaranteed.

  • Do not open the housing.
  • Do not modify product and accessories.
  • Installation, assembly, maintenance and repair work must be carried out only by trained electrical specialists.
  • Do not short connectors and circuits.

Target groups
Not meant for children. The product is not a toy!

  • Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.

Operation and storage conditions

  • Do not rotate, bend or mechanically strain otherwise In inserted state.
  • For large temperature differences, wait a few minutes after transport, to take the unit into operation.
  • Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, vibration and mechanical pressure.

Battery hazards
The batteries (rechargeable) are not replaceable.

  • Leave leaked, deformed or corroded batteries inside the product and dispose it by appropriate protectives.

Intended Use

****We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter „Description and Function“ or in the „Safety Instructions“. Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.
IP20 (51277 and 93256): These products are protected against medium sized foreign objects, but not against water ingress. Use the product only in dry interior rooms.
IP44 (51301): This product is protected against splash and contact with foreign objects ≥ Ø1 mm.

Connecting

  • Plug the time switch into a well reachable safety mains socket.

Settings

5.1 Setting Time and Weekday

  1. Press and hold the CLOCK button.
  2. While holding the CLOCK button, also press the WEEK button repeatedly until the correct day of the week is displayed.
  3. While holding the CLOCK button, also press the HOUR button repeatedly until the correct hour is displayed.
  4. While holding the CLOCK button, also press the MINUTE button until the correct minute is displayed.
  5. Release all buttons.
    Weekday and time are set.

5.2 12/24 h display

  • Press CLOCK and TIMER button simultaneously.
    The display changes between 12 and 24h mode.

5.3 Summer time function

  1. Press the CLOCK and ON/AUTO/OFF button simultaneously.
    SUMMER is displayed (sommer time).
    Time is put forward by 1 hour.

  2. Press both buttons again to change to winter time.

5.4 Program switching times
A maximum of 10 switching time programmes are available.
These can be set in minimum 1-minute increments.

  • Make sure that the set switching times do not overlap, especially if you set up weekly programmes.
  • If switching times overlap, the timer performs the ON or OFF function according to the programmed switching times.
  • If OFF (turn off) and ON (turn on) are programmed simultaneously by 2 different programmes, OFF (turn off) will be executed.
  • Programming is only available in AUTO mode.
  1. Press the TIMER button briefly.
    The display shows >> ON_1 <<.

  2. Set the switch-on time of the 1st switching time programme using the WEEK, HOUR and MINUTE buttons.

  3. Briefly press the TIMER button again.
    The display shows >> OFF_1 <<.

  4. Set the switch-off time of the 1st program by WEEK, HOUR, and MINUTE button.

  5. Press the TIMER button briefly again to finish the 1st program setting.
    The display shows >> ON_2 <<.

  6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to program further switching times.

  7. Press the CLOCK button to leave the program menu.
    The time switch is now set up.

Example:
The time switch shall switch on at 17:15 clock and switch off at 22:30 clock each day.

  1. Press the TIMER button briefly.
    The display shows >> ON_1 <<.

  2. Press the WEEK button repeatedly until the display shows

    MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU <<.

  3. Press the HOUR button repeatedly until the display shows >> 5:00 clock << or

    17:00 clock <<.

  4. Press the HOUR button repeatedly until the display shows >> 5:15 clock << or

    17:15 clock <<.

  5. Press the TIMER key once briefly.
    The display shows >> OFF_1 <<.

  6. Repeat steps 3. to 5. until the display shows >> 10:30 clock << or >> 22:30 clock << is displayed.
    If you press and hold the HOUR or MINUTE button, you can set times faster.

5.5 Manual Settings
The operating mode cannot be changed during programming.

  • Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button to change the operating mode.
    The set programmes are only executed in AUTO mode. In ON mode, the connected unit is always switched on, in OFF mode it is always switched off. When the mode is changed from ON to AUTO, the connected appliance remains switched on until the next programmed switch-off point.

5.6 RANDOM Function

  1. Press the RANDOM button while the timer is in clock mode.
    The LCD displays R and the random function is activated.

  2. When random is activated, the timer is in ON position randomly for 10-31 minutes during the time gap from 6:00PM to 6:00AM.

  3. Press RANDOM button again to cancel this function.

Please note:

  1. To activate random function, ensure the timer is in “AUTO” mode.
  2. When random is activated, ON/OFF programs between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM are automatically blocked.

Example:

  1. Programme 1 is programmed with a switch-on point of 19:00 clock and a switch-off point of 20:00 clock. The timer is in AUTO mode. If the RANDOM function is also activated, set programs will be ignored from 18:00 to 6:00.Instead of that, there is a random function during this time period, which alternately switches on and off with an interval of 10 to 31 minutes.
  2. Press the RANDOM button again to deactivate.
    The previously displayed R goes out. The random function is deactivated.

Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transport

The product is maintenance-free.
NOTICE!
Material damage

  • Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not use detergents or chemicals.
  • Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and dust-protected ambience when not in use.
  • Store cool and dry.
  • Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

Disposal instructions

7.1 Products
**** According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed with consumers waste. Its components must be recycled or disposed apart from each other. Otherwise contaminative and hazardous substances can damage the health and pollute the environment.

7.2 Batteries / rechargeable batteries
(Rechargeable) batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Their components have to be supplied separately to the recycling or disposal, because toxic and dangerous ingredients can harm the environment if not disposed of sustainably. As a consumer, you are obliged to return them at the end of their service lives to the manufacturer, the sales outlet or established for this purpose, public collection points for free. Details regulates the respective country‘s law. The symbol on the product, the instruction manual and / or the packaging draws attention to those provisions. 7.3 Packaging
Packaging can be disposed of free of charge at the suitable collection points – paper belongs in paper bins, plastics belong in yellow sacks and glass belongs in used glass bins.
