AENO EK4 Electric Kettle

The AENO EK2/EK4 electric kettle is designed for boiling water at home and in the office.

The EK2/EK4 electric kettle has a minimum water level (MIN) of 3-5 cups and a maximum water level (MAX) of 1 cup. It also features an auto shut-off function and a cordless design for ease of use.
Product Usage Instructions
- Fill the kettle with water above the MIN mark on the inside of the device.
- Place the kettle on its base and connect to a power source.
- The device should turn on automatically.
- If the device does not turn on, check that there is power and water in the kettle.
- If there is power and water but the device still does not turn on, there may be a short circuit in the electrical circuitry. Contact the service center for assistance. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.
- When not in use, unplug the device and store it in a safe place.

Limitations and Warnings
Use the unit only indoors at room temperature and no higher than 2000 m above sea level. Connect only to a grounded power outlet. Connect and operate the unit only in accordance with its specifications. Do not disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Children and persons with disabilities may use the device only under the supervision of adults and persons experienced in the use of the device. Do not allow children to play with the device. Make sure that the liquid does not come in contact with the stand ❸ and the power button ❼ (see Figure a). Do not immerse the device body ❷, the device stand ❸ and the power cord ❽ (see figure b) in water. Use the device only with the supplied stand. Do not plug the unit into an outlet if you notice damage to the cabinet, stand or power cord. If the device malfunctions, unplug it immediately. Install the device stand on a sturdy and stable surface, away from hot surfaces, bathtubs, showers, swimming pools and other potentially dangerous places. During use, the body of the device heats up to a high temperature. Do not touch the housing with your hands, lift the device from the stand only by the handle ❻. Do not open the lid of the device ❹ during boiling water and during the first 5 minutes after boiling. When pouring water from the device immediately after boiling, do not bring your hand or other body parts close to the kettle spout ❶. Hot steam can burn your skin. Do not pour water below the minimum “MIN” and above the maximum “MAX” marks on the inside of the unit.
Preparing the device for operation
Before first use, fill the kettle to the “MAX” mark, boil and drain the water.
Operating the device
Plug in the power cord ❽ on the kettle stand ❸ (see picture b). Remove the
kettle from the stand. Open the lid ❹ with the button ❺ and pour water into
the kettle ❷, but do not exceed the maximum level “MAX”. Close the lid and
place the kettle on the stand. Turn the switch ❼ on, and the control LED on
the switch will light up. After the water in the kettle boils, the device will
automatically turn off. The LED on the switch ❼ will turn off. Remove the
power cord plug from the power outlet when you are finished using it. You can
also stop the kettle at any time. To do this, turn off the switch or lift the
kettle by the handle from the stand and place it on the table.
Maintenance
Remove limescale on the inside of the kettle regularly. When using the kettle (3-5 times a day) it is recommended to descale it once a month if the water in your area is hard or very hard. If the water is soft or medium-hard, you can remove the scale once every 2-3 months. For descaling you can use 8% vinegar solution or citric acid solution (30 g of citric acid per 0.5 l of water). Pour 0.5 liters of vinegar or citric acid solution into the kettle and leave it for 2 hours without boiling. Then pour out the contents of the kettle and boil the water in it 4-5 times before the next use. The outer surface of the kettle can be cleaned with a dry cloth or a cloth dampened in a weak solution of neutral detergent. After applying the detergent, wipe the surface of the kettle with a clean, slightly dampened cloth and then wipe dry. The stand can only be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners, benzene, thinner, etc. to clean the kettle and the stand.
Troubleshooting possible malfunctions
The device does not turn on. Possible cause: No AC mains voltage.
Solution: check if there is power by plugging in another device.
There is voltage in the mains, but the kettle does not turn on. Possible
causes: lack of water in the kettle, activation of protection against
overheating.
Solution: Fill the kettle with water above the “MIN” mark on the inside
of the device.
There is power and water in the kettle, but the device does not turn on.
Possible cause: a short circuit in the electrical circuitry of the device.
Solution: contact the service center.

your supplier or service center. Please do not disassemble or attempt to
repair the unit yourself.
Recycling Information
The product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations for
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of in
household waste. Contact your supplier or service center for recycling
information.
The symbol indicates that you must follow the Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) and Waste Battery and Battery Regulations when disposing of
the device, its batteries and accumulators, and its electrical and electronic
accessories. According to the rules, this equipment must be disposed of
separately at the end of its service life. Do not dispose of the device, its
batteries and accumulators, or its electrical and electronic accessories
together with unsorted municipal waste, as this will harm the environment. To
dispose of this equipment, it must be returned to the point of sale or turned
in to a local recycling facility. You should contact your local household
waste disposal service for details.
