Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance and save them for future reference.

Safety Instructions

  1. Check if the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
  2. The heating fan meets the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility regarding interference with radio and TV appliances according to the standard EN 55104/1995.
  3. Do not leave the residence while the heating fan is on.
  4. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper/magazines, clothes, curtains etc. on a distance of at least 1 metres from the appliance.
  5. Always disconnect the heating fan from the mains when not in use. Do not pull the cord to disconnect the heating fan – pull the plug.
  6. Do not put objects in the air intake or outlet. A safety distance of at least one metre with free space in front of the fan and 0,5 metre free space behind the fan is required.
  7. Do not place the heating fan immediately below a wall socket.
  8. Keep children and pets on a safe distance from the heating fan during operation. Observe that the heating fan gets hot during use, and reaches a temperature above 80ºC.
  9. In order to avoid overheating and fire, the heating fan must not be covered.
  10. Do not use the heating fan next to bath tubs, showers or swimming pools.
  11. Do not use the heating fan in locations where explosive gases may occur or where inflammable solvents, varnish or glues are being used.
  12. Do not use the heating fan if the cord or the plug is damaged in any way. For safety reasons, the cord must only be replaced or repaired by an authorised service agent. Contact your retailer for advice.
  13. Keep the fan clean.
  14. Store the heating fan at a cool and dry place when not in use.
  15. Always use the heating fan in upright position.
  16. Do not use outdoors. The appliance is suitable for household use only.
  17. Do not use the heating fan to dry laundry. Never block the air intake or outlet, this can cause overheating.
  18. Do not use the heating fan in rooms smaller than 4 m².
  19. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
  20. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  21. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  22. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  23.  Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  24. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  25. CAUTION! Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

NOTE: When the heater is turned on for the first time it may emit some fumes. This is normal and will disappear after a while. The fumes are due to the thin layer of oil which the heating elements are protected with from the factory.

INSTALLATION

The appliance requires no installation. It should be used solely as a portable appliance. Portable appliances are not suitable for use in a bathroom.

OPERATION

  1. Turn the thermostat knob in a clockwise direction to max. setting.
  2. Ventilation only: turn the switch (clockwise) to .
  3. Heating at mid power: turn the switch (clockwise) to setting I (1000W).
  4. Heating at full power: turn the switch (clockwise) to setting II (2000W).
  5. Switching off: turn the switch (counter-clockwise) to setting O.

REGULATING THE THERMOSTAT

When the room has reached the desired temperature, slowly turn the temperature dial counter-clockwise until the thermostat is heard to click off. The thermostat will maintain this temperature in the room.

TIP-OVER SWITCH

This appliance is equipped with a tip-over switch located under the base of the appliance. If the heater turns over and falls, the appliance is immediately stopped.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Disconnect the heating fan from the socket before cleaning.
  • Clean the grilles to the air intake and outlet regularly.
  • Do not use solvents or products with polish when cleaning.
