REAL FLAME 40 Inch In-Wall Fireplace

The 40 In-Wall Fireplace is an electric fireplace insert designed for in-wall installation. It comes with a remote control and crystal stone to create a realistic ember bed. The LED bulbs used in the fireplace have a long life of 100,000 hours and should not be replaced by the user.

Safety Instructions

  • Read all safety warnings and instructions before use
  • Keep electrical cords, drapery, and other furnishings at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from the front, side, and rear of the heater to avoid high temperatures
  • Do not cover the heater to avoid overheating
  • Retain all packaging until you have checked and counted all parts
  • Ensure the bracket is level by using a spirit level whilst marking out the hole positions
  • The appliance must be installed by two people to avoid injury and/or property damage

Installation

  1. Check all parts and contents of the hardware pack against the parts list before installation. Keep small parts away from young children.
  2. Fix the crystal stone onto the ember bed after removing the glass from the appliance.
  3. Fix the tempered glass onto both sides using 2pcs of 4*8mm white screws provided.
  4. Install the appliance into the cut hole with two people.
  5. Fix the tempered glass onto the front panel using 2pcs of 4*8mm screws provided.
  6. Operate the appliance using either the switches located on the top right-hand side or remote control.
  7. If necessary, replace the remote control’s two AAA batteries.

By following the above instructions, you can safely and easily install and use the 40 In-Wall Fireplace.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in injury and/or property damage. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
  • The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
  • The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch the hot surfaces. The trim around the heater outlet becomes hot during heater operation. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 Feet (0.9m) from the front of the unit.
  • CAUTION : High Temperature, keep electrical cords, drapery, and other furnishings at least 3 Feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and away from the side and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or individuals and whenever the unit is left operating and unattended.
  • Always unplug the electric fireplace when not in use.
  • Do not operate any unit with a damaged electrical cord or plug, or if the heater has malfunctioned, or if the electric fireplace has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  • The electric fireplace is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run the electrical cord under carpeting. Do not cover electrical cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar materials. Arrange electrical cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect the unit, turn the controls off, then remove the electrical plug from the outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage to the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intake or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored or where the unit will be exposed to flammable vapors.
  • Do not modify the electric fireplace. Use it only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
  • Always use a certified electrician should new circuits or outlets be required.
  • Always use properly grounded, fused and polarized outlets.
  • Disconnect all power supply before performing any cleaning, maintenance or relocation of the unit.
  • When transporting or storing the unit and electrical cord, keep in a dry place, free from excessive vibration and store so as to avoid damage.

WARNING : In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

INSTALLATION

  • Please retain all packaging until you have checked and counted all the parts and the contents of the hardware pack against the parts list.
  • The hardware pack contains small items which should be kept away from young children.

WALL MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS

  • This appliance is designed to be fixed to a wall at a minimum height of 300mm and the minimum distance from the top of the heater to the ceiling should be 1000mm. The wall bracket must be fitted horizontally and the cable routed to the bottom right of the heater.

  • A distance of 600mm from the bottom of the heater to the floor is recommended for optimum viewing of the fuel bed; see Fig.1 below for recommended fixing dimensions.REAL-FLAME-40-Inch-In-Wall-Fireplace-FIG- \(1\)

  • For optimum viewing, mark the top four screws ( fixing positions on the wall in accordance with the recommended fixing dimension; See Fig.2
    NOTE : Ensure the bracket is level by using a spirit level whilst marking out the hole positions.

  • Remove white screws on both side and Remove the back panel from the appliance first, see Fig.2

  • Drill holes with a No.6 drill bit.

  • Fix the wall bracket using the plug and 4x30mm screws provided.

  • Carefully lift up the heater ensuring the top rear ledge of the heater engages with the wall bracket(see Fig.2) and is sitting centrally. This process should be carried out by two people to avoid injury or damage to property or the appliance.

  • Put the crystal to the white boarder, then gently bring the heater down against the wall.REAL-FLAME-40-Inch-In-Wall-Fireplace-FIG- \(2\)

Manual Operation
The switches located at the center right hand side of the fire .The standby switch must be first switch on.

  1. Take the glass from the appliance first, then gently put the appliance to the cut hole by two persons. Please see Fig.1.

  2. For optimum viewing, mark the left and right screws ( fixing positions on the wall in accordance with the appliance’s holes; See Fig.2REAL-FLAME-40-Inch-In-Wall-Fireplace-FIG- \(9\)

  3. Place the front glass surround over the front of the fire aligning the slots in the bracket at each side of the glass panel with the lugs on the sides of the fire; See Fig.3

  4. Place the front glass surround over the front of the fire aligning the slots in the bracket at each side of the glass panel with the lugs on the sides of the fire; See Fig.4

  6. Fix the tempered glass with 2pcs of 4*8mm screws provided.(Fig.5)

  7. The appliance can be operated either by the switches located on the top right hand side of the fire or by supplied remote control.

  8. Put the crystal stone to ember bed. First, take off glass from appliance. Then put crystal stone on ember bed.

  9. Fix the tempered glass with 2pcs of 4*8mm white screws on both sides as provided.(Fig.5)

  11. It takes some time for the receiver to respond to the transmitter. Do not PRESS the buttons more than once within two seconds for correct operation.

  12. Press once the button ON/OFF on the remote control this turns ON/OFF the appliance and fire effect.

  13. Press the DIMMER button for operates the dimmer mode. Each time the dimmer button is Pressed, the intensity of the flame decrease. There are 5 brightness levels you can cycle through and the OFF setting.

  14. Press once the HEAT button for the low heat setting(750W); press twice for the high heat setting (1500W); press again to turn off the heater.

  15. Temperature setting. The highest temperature of the thermostat is 82F. There are several thermostat levels you can cycle through between 62F and 82F, and the OFF settings.

  16. Timer setting. Press the TIMER button to cycle through the timer settings (1Hour, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H and 8H) and the OFF setting.

  17. Colorful Setting. Press the remotes’ Colorful button, it can change the flame color. Press the first time, it will change from AMBER color to Blue color. Press the second Time, it will change from Blue to AMBER & BLUE color. Press the third time, it willCome back to amber color.

  • DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
  • DO NOT use rechargeable silver oxide cell batteries with remote control unit.
  • DO NOT mix alkaline. Standard (Carbon-zine). Or rechargeable (Nickle – Cadmium) batteries.
  • DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire. Improper disposal may cause batteries to leak or explode.

When using this electrical appliance, basic precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to a person, including the following

  • This heater must be used on an AC supply only and the voltage marked on the heater must correspond to the supply voltage.
  • Do not switch the appliance on until it is properly installed and described in this manual.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the main supply.
  • Keep out of reach of children and do not allow them to operate this appliance.
  • From time to time, check the cord for damage . Never use the appliance if the cord or any part of the appliance shows signs of damage.
  • Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
  • Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk.
  • Do not run the cable under carpets, rugs etc.
  • Do not allow the main cable to hang over sharp edges or come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • WARNING : In order to avoid overheating, do not cover or obstruct the heater in any way.
  • Overheating will result if it is accidentally covered.
  • Never immerse the product in water or any other liquids.

LED BULB REPLACEMENT
NOTE : The flame effect on this electric fireplace insert is created by LED Bulbs. The life of these LED bulbs will be 100,000 hours. The users are not recommended to Replace the LED Bulbs. For any reason should the bulbs stop working properly, contact a Qualified technician.

MAINTENANCE

LED BULB REPLACEMENT
NOTE : The flame effect on this electric fireplace insert is created by LED Bulbs. The life of these LED bulbs will be 100,000 hours. The users are not recommended to Replace the LED Bulbs. For any reason should the bulbs stop working properly, contact a Qualified technician.

CLEANING

  • Turn heater OFF and unplug from electrical outlet before any cleaning or maintenance is performed. Wait at least 10 minutes to allow all components to cool properly.
  • Use a vacuum or duster to keep heater and vent area clean from dust and dirt.
  • The exterior of the fireplace should be cleaned with a damp cloth or duster.
    Do not use abrasive cleaners or liquid sprays.

WARNING : To avoid electrical shock not open the back panel of the insert unless the Power has been turned off. And the insert has been unplugged.
WARNING : Any electrical repairs.to this electric fireplace. Should only be Performed by a qualified technician.
WARNING : Any electrical wiring repairs should only be performed by a qualified Technician. And also must comply with local buildings codes.
WARNING : Discontinue use of this electric fireplace if any of the follow has Occurred: Water damage. If insert has been or dented. If power cord has Become broken. If power cord becomes hot to touch, if unit smokes or Smells like smoke.
NOTE : When the heat functions is used for the first time. A slight odor may be Present. This is normal and should be occur again unless heater is not used For extended

Meaning of crossed – out wheeled dustbin: Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
This appliance is fitted with a safety cut-off which will operate if the fire overheats (e.g. due to blocked air vents) For safety reasons, the fire will NOT automatically reset.

  • To reset the appliance, disconnect the appliance from the mains supply for at least 15 minutes. Reconnect the supply to the mains and switch on the appliance.
