Product Usage Instructions
STEP 1 – Hardware Installation
Make sure the device’s SATA power and USB cable are connected according to the
setup instructions provided.
STEP 2 – Check Cooler Library
- Download Gigabyte Control Center (GCC).
- Install and open GCC software.
STEP 3 – Check Cooler Library and Firmware Version
- Click on the icon on the left column.
- Click on Update info.
- If the firmware version is F1.5 or newer, no further action is needed.
STEP 4 -Update Cooler Library
- Click on the check update icon indicated by the picture below.
- Select Gigabyte cooler library update to 24.04.25.01 (or latest version).
- Click “Install”4.GCC will restart during the update process, click “Yes” to continue.
STEP 5
- Check the box next to “GP- AORUS-WATERFORCE X II FIRMWARE”
- Click “Install ”
- If your firmware version is “F1.3” or newer, the update will begin directly. Please skip to STEP 10 and continue the process. And the process will take about 8 minutes.
STEP 6 (FOR F1.2)
- Click “confirm” to begin the update.
- GCC will be forcibly closed and disabled when the update begins – the process will take approximately 8 minutes.
STEP 7 -Please do not interrupt the update process once it begins(FOR F1.2)
- Please note that you may hit “X” on the update windows the minimize the message, it will not stop the update process.
- GCC is disabled during the update process, please wait until the update is finished to resume using GCC.
STEP 8(FOR F1.2)
- The watercooler screen will display the image below during the update process.
STEP 9 –(FOR F1.2)
- Please click “Close” to finish the firmware update. GCC will automatically restart.
STEP 10 (F1.3 or newer)
- The watercooler screen will display the image below during the update process, depending on your firmware version.
- After the firmware update is completed, the startup animation will play to indicate the process has been completed
