Packing List

After you unpack the product package, check whether the product is intact and that all accessories are included and complete. The following figures show the items that should be contained in the product package.

Indicator and Buzzer States

Red LED flashes. The buzzer beeps. Gas leakage alarm.
Yellow LED flashes. The buzzer does not beep. Detector preheats.
Green LED is on. The buzzer does not beep. Working properly.
Yellow LED flashes. The buzzer beeps.-Sound. Internal problem.
Red LED flashes. Buzzer beeps for eight times. In simulation testing status.
Green LED flashes quickly. The buzzer does not beep. In network setting.

Network Setting

  1. After power on, the detector will preheat for 1-3 minutes, yellow LED flashes.
  2. Press the reset button for 5S and release, the green LED will flash for network setting.

Distribetion network hint:
  • Network access status: Press the button for 5-10 seconds to join a network. After pressed, the red indicator is steady on, after 5 seconds release the button, the green indicator flashes rapidly to start distribution of the network. If the network access is successful, the green LED remains on for 5 seconds, the green light is always on, and the alarm enters the normal monitoring state.
  • If the product fails to enter the network configuration mode within 60s, the status indicator will be steady yellow for 5s and then off.

Installation Instructions

Precautions
  1. Install the product indoors where devices use combustible gas (methane).
  2. Do not install the product outdoors.
  3. Ensure that the temperature of the installation environment is within the range of 0°C to +55°C.
  4. Do not install the product in places where the product will be affected by heat, steam, or smoke residual generated by gas appliances (for example, above a gas stove).
  5. Ensure that there are no obstacles between the product and gas devices, or the product may fail to detect gas leakage.
  6. Do not install the product in places with a large airflow, such as air intake vents, ventilators, windows, and doors, or the product may fail to detect gas leakage.
  7. Ensure that the product is properly connected to a power socket and that the power socket has power.
  8. You are advised to use screws to install the product. If you use a 3M sticker to install the product, any product damage or safety accidents incurred therefrom will be your responsibility. However, if you choose to use a 3M sticker, affix the product to a smooth, even, dry, and clean surface.
  9. Regularly check whether the product is attached to the surface securely to prevent it from falling down.

Ceiling mount: Install the product in the annular zone about 1.5 m to 3 m above the gas source.
Wall mount: Install the product on a wall, about 0.2 m to 0.6 m below the ceiling and 1.5 m away from the gas source.

Installation methods
  1. Using screws
    Use screws to fix the mounting base to the ceiling or wall.

Rotate the product clockwise into the mounting base.

  1. Using a 3M sticker
    Affix the 3M sticker to the rear of the mounting base.

Affix the product to the target position.

Using this Product

  1. Preheating state
    The product enters the preheating state after being powered on. During the preheating period, the status indicator is flashing yellow lights. After preheating is completed (no more than 3 minutes), the status indicator will become steady green.

  2. Working state
    When the product is working properly, the status indicator will be steady green with no alarm sound.

  3. Alarm state
    If the product is working properly and the gas concentration is higher than the preset alarm threshold, Red indicator is flashing and the buzzer will generate an audible alarm.

  4. Trouble Status
    When detector is in trouble, yellow LED flashes, buzzer beeps every 6-10s.

  5. Simulation test
    When the product is working, press the mute/self-diagnostic button to enter the simulation test mode. After entering the simulation test mode, the product will send a wireless alarm signal. After the test is completed, the product will send a wireless alarm clearance signal.

Routine Maintenance and Protection

To ensure that the product works properly, maintain and protect the product as follows:

  1. Correctly install, operate, and maintain the product in accordance with the user manual.
  2. Perform a self-diagnostic test on the product every month. When the product is working, press the mute/self diagnostic button and ensure that the product can generate an audible and visual alarm.
  3. Once every three months, use a slightly damp towel to clean the product cover and remove dust and oil stains from the air intake vent of the product to ensure smooth airflow and a normal alarm sound. Do not use a wet towel or chemical solvents, such as alcohol or acetone to clean the product.
  4. Calibrate the product annually.
  • Only qualified institutions with standard gas and calibration tools are authorized to calibrate the product.

Handling Gas Leakage

When the combustible gas concentration in the air reaches or exceeds the preset alarm threshold, the product will enter the alarm state. Handle the problem as follows:

  1. Close the gas pipeline valve immediately.
  2. Open doors and windows for ventilation.
  3. Extinguish all sources of fire such as cigarette lighters, matches, and gas burners, and do not use items that may generate fire or any kind of electrical spark, such as electronic ignition devices for water heaters or gas burners.
  4. Do not turn any home appliances on or off.
  5. Check the causes of the gas leakage and notify relevant departments and professional personnel of handling the problem.

Troubleshooting

Other Precautions

  1. The product can only be used for pipeline Methane (Natural gas) and cannot be used for bottled liquefied gas (LPG).
  2. Do not change the internal structure of the product.
  3. Do not directly use high-concentration combustible gas, for example, butane lighter gas or pure natural gas on the product. The sensitivity of the product’s detector will be reduced, and the product may even become non-functional.
  4. Do not use a large amount of hair spray, pesticides, paint, adhesives, or thinners near the product to avoid false alarms and maintain the product’s lifespan.
  5. Typically, the product’s built-in sensor can be used for five years. Maintain the sensor or replace the product after having using the product for five years.
  6. Periodically check whether the product is working properly. If the product is faulty, contact the vendor and describe the fault symptoms to rectify the fault. Do not disassemble the product yourself. After-sales service engineers of the vendor can provide on-site guidance. If you send the product to the vendor for repair, ensure gas use safety during the repair period.
  7. If you use a 3M sticker to affix the product to a painted surface, peeling of the paint may cause the product to fall down. If this occurs, you are liable for any problems incurred therefrom.

Warranty Certificate

Warranty policy:

  1. If the product has quality problems within 7 days of the payment date, you can apply for a refund based on the invoice price or to replace with the same model or have it repaired.
  2. If the product has quality problems within 15 days of the payment date, you can apply to replace the product with he same model or have it repaired.
  3. If the product has quality problems within 12 months of the payment date, you can apply to have it repaired.

What is not covered under this warranty:

  1. The product owner has no warranty certificate or the warranty service has expired.
  2. Damage caused by improper use, maintenance, or storage
  3. Damage caused by disassembly and repair without Tuya’s authorization
  4. Damage caused by force majeure
  5. Normal discoloration and depreciation after the product has been used
