  • The washing machine should be installed absolutely level and stably.
  • The machine should not rock or wobble under load.
  • Avoid contact of the machine feet with moisture. Otherwise, vibration or noise may occur.

ATTENTION
If the washing machine is installed on a carpeted floor, make sure that its base is raised above the carpet pile. Otherwise, ventilation may be hindered or impossible.

CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY

ATTENTION
Connection of the appliance to water supply should only be performed by a skilled technician.

NOTE:

  • The water supply pressure should be within the range of 0,5 to 1 mPa (0,5-10 kg/cm2). If the pressure exceeds 1 mPa a pressure-reducing device should be installed upstream of it.
  • Do not apply excessive force when screwing the water supply tube onto the tap.
  • Regularly check condition of the tube, replace if necessary.
  • Use only brand new water supply tubes for washing machines, do not use old tubes e.g. used with the pervious machine.

ATTENTION
Connect the washing machine only to the cold water supply piping. The internal components of the machine are not made of materials suitable for hot water. Besides, the supply of hot water into the machine will disturb the temperature modes during washing and cause damage to your laundry. Hot water may contain anti corrosion additives which are detrimental to the internal parts of the washing machine.

CONNECTING THE INLET TUBES AND VALVES

  1. Check the availability of the rubber gaskets on both sides of the flexible tube. If necessary, insert the rubber gaskets into the threaded fittings of each hose end for sealing the connections.
  2. Usually, on the water supply piping side, the tube is connected to a three-way valve attached to the tube to provide water cutoff from the machine. Screw the ring nut of the tube onto the valve by hand as firmly as possible, then tighten by a quarter or half turn with a suitable tool. Do not overtighten the nut, as this may rupture the gasket and cause a leak.
  3. After connecting open the valve to flush any contaminants (dirt, dust, sand) from the tube that may have gotten inside during installation. Collect the water in a bucket or basin.
  4. Screw the ring nut of the tube onto the washing machine inlet, then tighten it the same way as on the water supply valve.

NOTE:
Every time you open the water supply valve after connecting it to the machine, do it slowly to prevent surge (hydraulic shock) and damage to the internal component of the machine. Close the water supply valve every time after using the machine to prevent leaks and spillage.

ATTENTION
Do not try to extend the water supply tube yourselves! If the water supply tap is located too far away from the machine, buy a longer tube.

NOTE:
The washing machine can be connected to water supply via an ordinary domestic tap. In this case all the same requirements should be observed, besides, to avoid spillage, please ensure that the connection between the tap and the hose is tight and secure and the tube will not come off the tap. However, this connection method is not recommended and can only be applied if a fixed connection to water supply is not possible.

DRAIN HOSE CONNECTION

ATTENTION
Connection of the appliance to the drain should only be performed by a skilled technician.CENTEK-CT-1910-Washing-Machine-fig- \(8\)

  1. One end of the hose is fixed to the appliance. Do not pull it out or force it in.
  2. The other (free) end of the hose can be routed into a bathtub, sink, or connected to the drain (sewage) piping.
  3. If the free end of the hose is routed into a bathtub or sink, it should be firmly secured (e.g. with a special bathtub clamp). A loose hose can easily fall off because of the water pressure and cause spillage.
  4. When connecting the hose to the drain pipe, make sure it is not inserted too deep so as not to obstruct the sewage flow. If the hose is too long – cut it down to size.
  5. In any case please avoid the siphon effect when connecting the machine to the drain; otherwise the water will not stop running. For this purpose a part of the hose should always be raised at least 60 cm above the floor. Besides, the free end of the drain hose should not be submerged in water (therefore please avoid connecting the hose to the sewage pipes with a constant water flow).CENTEK-CT-1910-Washing-Machine-fig- \(9\)

NOTE:
If the free end of the hose is routed into a sink, use a special holding clamp (bracket) as in the case with a bathtub; secure the clamp with a chain or rope.

CONNECTING TO POWER SUPPLY

  1. The washing machine should be connected to a properly installed grounded electric socket protected by an automatic circuit breaker of 16A rating.
For added safety it is recommended to connect the washing machine to a dedicated lead (socket) assigned in the switchboard and used exclusively to connect the washing machine, protected by a dedicated differential current circuit breaker or a combined automatic circuit breaker and ground fault circuit breaker (GFCI).
The manufacturer will not accept liability for any damage if the machine is connected to a power supply circuit without a functioning earthing connection installed in accordance with local regulations.

  2. The electric circuit to which the machine is connected should be located in a easily visible and accessible place, within 1 m to the left or right of the appliance. Please prevent situations when the power cable can be jammed, tugged at or trampled upon.

  3. Never use extension cables or cluster type power sockets to connect the appliance. This is critical to avoid loose contacts or contacts with insufficient area and thus to prevent fires. Never connect the appliance via an external timer.

  4. If the power cable is damaged it shall only be repaired by a properly qualified technician at a service center.

OPERATING THE WASHING MACHINE

ATTENTION
Before doing your laundry ensure that the washing machine is installed properly in accordance with our instructions. The appliance has undergone quality acceptance tests at the factory, therefore it may contain water and show minor traces of test operation.

ATTENTION
In order to eliminate any unpleasant odor and clean the washing machine before starting operation we recommend running one washing cycle in “Cotton” mode at 90 °С without clothes and detergents. Don’t worry if the odor hasn’t disappeared completely. It is the odor from heated rubber and plastic parts. Either start a long washing program at high temperatures (without laundry), or wait for the odor to disappear after a couple of next washings.

PREPARING YOUR LAUNDRY

CENTEK-CT-1910-Washing-Machine-fig- \(12\)Sort your clothes to achieve optimal washing results, then prepare them in accordance with the symbols on the washing instruction labels.

SORTING (Fig. 2)

  • For more efficient washing sort your laundry in accordance with the care instructions, fabric type and recommended washing temperature; wash your laundry at the proper drum rotation speed.
  • Different fabrics should be washed at different temperatures and drum rotation speeds.
  • By all means sort dark clothes out from light-colored and white clothes. Wash them separately, as dyes and pile can migrate and discolor light-colored and white clothes. If possible, do not wash heavily contaminated clothes together with cleaner clothes.

NOTE:

  • Degree of contamination (high, normal, low): sort the clothes according to contamination degree. Use longer and more intensive washing for medium and highly contaminated clothes. Lightly contaminated clothes may be washed at a lower temperature to save power.
  • Color (white, light-colored fabrics, dark fabrics): Separate white clothes from colored clothes. First wash newer dark and colored clothes separately from the rest.
  • Pile (pile fabrics, clothes that gather pile): wash pile fabric clothes and clothes that gather pile from other clothes separately from the rest.
  • Clothes with metal components (e.g. bone bras, belt buckles, metal buttons) can damage the washing machine. Remove metal components before washing or place the laundry into a mesh bag or pillow case. Besides, items like snickers should be washed in a mesh bag to protect the items themselves from wear. A mesh bag is also handy for washing small items (Fig. 5).

CHECKING THE GARMENT CARE LABELS (Fig. 1)
The symbols used to indicate fabric composition and washing instructions.

CENTEK-CT-1910-Washing-Machine-fig- \(13\)

NOTE:
The lines under the symbols indicate the fabric type and the maximum allowable mechanical stress.

CHECKING THE CLOTHES BEFORE LOADING

  • Wash large and small items together. Load large items first.
  • Large items should not take up more than half of the batch. Do not wash single items to avoid drum imbalance. Always add one or two more items.
  • Check the pockets and make sure they are empty. Objects like nails, pins, matches, pens, coins or keys can damage both the machine and the clothes (Fig. 3).
  • Zip up the zippers, hook the hooks, tie the laces so that they do not get entangled with other clothes (Fig. 4).
  • Apply some detergent dissolved in a small amount of water to stains before placing the garment into the machine, so that the stains come off easier.
  • Spread out curtains before putting them into the washing machine. Remove any attachment brackets before washing.
  • Zip up the zippers, sew on loose buttons, mend holes and stitch up ruptures.
  • Do not wash white and colored laundry together. New-colored clothes can stain other clothes. Wash colored items separately.
  • Use only such detergents, color fresheners and tinctures as are suitable for machine washing. By all means observe the instructions provided on the packaging.
  • Turn trousers and fine laundry inside out before washing (Fig. 6).
  • Shake items heavy soiled by flour, lime, milk powder, etc. before putting them into the washing machine. Such contaminants can accumulate inside the washing machine and eventually cause damage.
  • Check the folds of the door seal and remove any small objects stuck in it.

ATTENTION

  • Ensure that no clothing items are jammed between the door and door seal, otherwise, they can be damaged during washing.
  • Remove any foreign objects stuck in the door seal to prevent damage to the seal and the laundry.

CLOTHES NOT SUITABLE FOR MACHINE WASHING

  • Ties, vests, etc. that can shrink after machine washing.
  • Garments with folds and embossing that can be deformed during machine washing.
  • Garments made completely or partially of fur.
  • Garments with decorations.
  • Avoid washing items with missing manufacturer’s washing instruction labels.
  • Never wash clothes contaminated by gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, paints, solvents and alcohols.
  • Items made of waterproof materials are not machine washable. Trying to wash such items can cause machine overfilling, spillage and excessive vibrations during rinsing and drying, as well as damage to the items themselves (such as skiing suits, raincoats, umbrellas, car seat covers, tents, sleeping bags, etc.). Water trapped inside the waterproof items cannot be fully drained and may imbalance the drum, causing vibration and displacement of the machine.

ITEMS THAT CAN EASILY MAT TOGETHER
Items that can easily mat together (e.g. downy knits), should be turned inside out before washing. Such items should better be washed separately, as they may damage other clothes and become damaged by them. For the same reason it is preferable to wash black and colored cotton garments separately.

USING THE DETERGENT TRAY

  • pre-wash
  • main wash
  • softener
  • release the button to pull out the dispenser
  1. Compartment I (right) is used for pre-washing detergents. This compartment is not used in other washing cycles.
  2. Compartment II (left) – for main washing detergent.
  3. The compartment for laundry conditioner/rinsing agent is located in the middle between the first two compartments.

NOTE:
A liquid detergent added to Compartment II for main washing detergent will immediately flow into the drum. Therefore, using a powder detergent instead of a liquid is recommended if the «Pre-Wash» mode is used.

NOTE:
Always add liquid detergent immediately before starting the selected washing program. If added in advance or if delayed start is used the detergent may harden inside the machine.

Check that the liquid detergent has a proper degree of fluidity. If necessary, dilute it with water.

The laundry detergent should be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and selected according to fabric type, color, degree of contamination and the washing temperature. Please use only detergents designed specifically for machine washing.

  • If there is too much foam, reduce the amount of detergent. Excessive detergent produces too much foam, which lowers the washing quality and overloads the motor.
  • The quantity of detergent can depend on water temperature, water hardness, the size and contamination degree of the items to be washed.

NOTE:

  • In order to achieve optimal washing results follow the instructions related to the maximum weight of the clothes loaded into the machine.
  • To save electric power choose longer washing programs with lower water temperatures.
  • Washing program duration may vary depending on the actual weight and properties of the laundry, system water temperature and hardness and other parameters.

ATTENTION
In the event of a power failure the machine will continue the washing cycle from the moment it was interrupted when power supply resumes.

AUXILIARY MODES AND FUNCTIONS

DELAYED START
The function allows delaying the commencement of the washing program for up to 24 hours. This is very useful when you would like to finish your laundry by a certain time (e.g. by the time you come back home), or do it in the night because of a more favorable nighttime electricity tariff rate.

DRYING SPEED SELECTION
You can select the desired drying speed in rpm (if provided by the selected program) by repeatedly pressing the button; you can also disable drying for the current cycle by selecting «0».

Available Values:

  • For models CT-1910, CT-1911: 0 – 400 – 600 – 800 – 1000,
  • For models CT-1912, CT-1913: 0 – 400 – 600 – 800 – 1000 – 1200.
  • Disable drying for laundry requiring careful handling (e.g. for woolen items, fine fabrics, sports thermal underwear, etc.).

ADDITIONAL RINSE
Activating this mode will add one more rinsing cycle. It is used for more thoroughly removing the detergents from the laundry. This is important for children’s clothes and for people suffering from allergies.

«SILENT» MODE
Select the washing program, then press and hold the «Delayed Start» button for 3 seconds. This will disable all audio signals and notifications. Re-activate the sounds in the same way.

CHILD LOCK FUNCTION
This function is activated after a program is selected and started. Press simultaneously the «Additional Rinse» and «Drying Speed Selection» buttons and hold them for 3 seconds. All functions and modes of the machine (except the shutdown button) will become inaccessible. This will allow ensuring and controlling the safety of your children and the appliance. Attention! For added safety, the “Child Lock” function stays active even after program completion and machine shutdown. In order to deactivate the function repeat the same actions as for activating it.

«DRUM CLEANING»
The drum of the washing machine contacts dirty clothing and detergents. Bacteria and detergent residues can accumulate in the drum over time. High humidity inside the machine which lasts for a long time after laundry completion, contributes to the buildup of mould and putrid smell.

In order to extend the service life of the washing machine and keep the drum clean, wipe the inside of the drum (including the folds of the rubber seal) dry after each laundry and regularly use the «Drum Cleaning» function. The cleaning is performed at 90 °С.

  1. Before activating the drum cleaning function, ensure that there is nothing left in the drum.
  2. Add a special drum cleaner to the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer.
  3. Select the «Drum Cleaning» function and press the «Start/Pause» button.
  4. Wait for the program to complete and wipe the inside of the drum with a soft dry cloth.

MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION

  • Attention! Always pull the plug from the electric socket and close the water supply valve before cleaning, care and maintenance described below.
  • Never use solvents for cleaning to avoid damage to the washing machine and the emission of toxic or explosive gases.
  • Do not spill water on the washing machine while cleaning.
  • Do not use PCMX (chloroxylene) -containing detergents, ethyl alcohol, formic acid or their equivalents for cleaning the appliance, as these substances can damage it.

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Regular and careful cleaning of the appliance will allow extending its service life and retain its appealing exterior. If necessary wipe the outer surface of the machine with a mild, non-abrasive detergent. In case of a water spill, immediately collect the water with a towel. Do not use sharp objects to clean the machine to avoid damaging the housing and impeding its operation.

ATTENTION
Never use aggressive chemicals, abrasive cleaning agents or solvents for cleaning the appliance. They can damage the exterior finish.

CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE DRUM
Wipe the drum dry after each use to remove any residues from the tap water, washing chemicals, dirt and fabric particles, as well as to prevent additional moisture from staying inside the drum and causing mould growth. Metal clothing components (buttons, zippers, studs) can leave rust stains inside the drum – take care to remove these stains without delay. The use of aggressive detergents or rust removers for cleaning the drum is not allowed, therefore regular preventive care is the best solution.
Besides, the washing machine has «Drum clean» function to assist you in hygiene maintenance.

CLEANING THE DOOR GLASS AND SEAL

  • Wipe the glass and seal after each laundry to remove pile and stains.
  • Remove coins, buttons and other small objects from the folds of the door seal after each laundry.
  • Water staying for a prolonged time inside the folds of the door seal can cause an unpleasant smell.

CLEANING THE PUMP FILTER
The drain pump filter can retain scraps of fabric and small foreign objects during laundry.

Regularly clean the filter to ensure proper operation of the washing machine. Check the pump if the machine fails to drain water or tumble dry the laundry, as well as if it emits an unusual noise during draining, which may be caused by foreign objects blocking the pump.

  • Depending on the program, hot water may be pumped through the drain pump.
  • Never remove the pump cover during the rinsing cycle. Wait for the appliance to complete operation in the relevant mode and start draining the water.
  • Ensure the filter and the cover plate are properly seated when reinstalling them.
