COMPACT RADIO GONG receiver FG-6.3 RX

Thank you for purchasing the FG-6 RX Radio Chime.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP THEM FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE USE!
No wiring is required for this compact radio doorbell. The transmitter (bell button, sound-activated transmitter, etc.) sends a signal to the receiver, which then plays a ring tone.
The radio range is up to 200 metres, depending on the line of sight and local conditions. However, the range of the radio signal is reduced if the signal has to be transmitted  through walls or ceilings. Metal door frames and reinforced UPVC door frames also reduce the radio range.

KEY

  1. FG-6 RX (receiver)
  2. LED indicator
  3. Volume +
  4. Volume 5
  5. Code button
  6. Mode switch
  7. Battery compartment

INITIAL START-UP

The FG-6 RX is operated with 2 batteries of the type “AA” (not included in delivery).
Open the battery compartment (9) on the back and insert the batteries according to the polarity markings. The unit emits a double beep and is ready to learn a transmitter.  Start up the transmitter (see transmitter instructions) and activate it, e.g. by pressing the bell button or tapping on the sensor module of the sound-active transmitter. The FG- 6 RX plays a ring tone as confirmation.
Setting the ring tone
The ring tone is selected via the paired transmitter. This makes it possible to assign an individual ring tone to each transmitter. Each transmitter has a small button marked “S” for this purpose. Each time the button is pressed, the next ring tone is played at the receiver. Wait until the ring tone has been played completely before pressing the button  again. The last ringtone played is automatically saved. For further information, please refer to the instructions of the transmitter.
Adjusting the volume
The volume can be varied in 4 steps using the Volume + (3) and – (4) buttons on the side. Pressing the Volume + button increases the volume, pressing the dsf
Volume – button decreases the volume. The volume is saved automatically.

FURTHER SETTINGS

MODE switch
The MODE switch (6) on the side can be used to select between 3 different operating modes:

  1. Sound + Light: The ringing melody is played and the LEDs flash
  2. Light: Only the LEDs flash
  3. Sound: Only the ringing melody is played

Pairing additional transmitters
Each receiver can learn a total of 4 transmitters. To tune in an additional transmitter, carry out the following steps:

  1. Press the CODE button (5) on the receiver for approx. 2 seconds, the receiver then beeps once and is in learning mode.
  2. Activate the transmitter to be learned within 4 seconds, e.g. by pressing the bell button of the additional transmitter or knocking on the sensor module of the sound- active transmitter.
  3. The receiver plays a melody, the additional transmitter is learned and the receiver switches back to normal mode.

Repeat these steps for all transmitters that are to be tuned in, max. 4 transmitters are possible.
Note: If you do not press the bell button of the transmitter within 4 seconds after activating the learning mode, the learning mode of the receiver deactivates it self and  acknowledges this with a signal tone.
Note: Each time the batteries are changed, the code memory in the FG-6 RX is deleted and all transmitters must be relearned.

Changing the system code
In rare cases, the code of your system may overlap with that of a neighbour. In this case it is necessary to change the code(s).

  1. Remove the battery from the transmitter.
  2. Wait about 10 seconds and reinsert the battery.
  3. Remove the batteries from the FG-6 RX.
  4. Wait approx. 30 seconds.
  5. Reinsert the batteries. The FG-6 RX emits a double beep and is in learning mode.
  6. Activate the transmitter, e.g. by pressing the bell button of the additional transmitter or knocking on the sensor module of the sound-active transmitter.
  7. The FG-6 RX plays a melody.

Existing additional transmitters must also be given a new code and relearned.
To do this, remove the batteries from all transmitters for approx. 10 seconds and then carry out the steps for “Pairing additional transmitters”.

AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES
The FG-6 RX can be used with all FG and BELL series transmitters.
