Thank you for purchasing this RESIST safe. We advise you to read the instructions before you install and use the safe to prevent its improper use from making the guarantee void.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCT

This safe is meant to protect your objects of value and your documents in the event of a possible fire. Due to its heavy weight, it is advisable to place it on firm flooring.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE SAFE

BATTERIES INSTALLATION AND OPENING

  • Extract the battery compartment located outside the safe, at the lower part of the keyboard, and place 4 alkaline batteries of 1.5 V.
  • Press the * key. A beep sounds and a green LED flashes.
  • Enter opening code ( initial master-code is 1-2-3-4- 5-6)
  • Every key pressing is confirmed with a beep sound and a green led flashing. If the key is not pressed over the course of 10 sec. the lock will switch off and the operation must be repeated.
  • Press ENTER
  • While the green led is flashing, turn the key clockwise and open the door.
  • If the typed code is incorrect 2 beeps sounds and a red LED flashes during 5 seconds. In this case, start the operation again.
  • The safe allows up to 3 erroneous code entries before it is blocked for 5 minutes as a security measure. During this time, it is not possible to use the keypad. During the blocking period the red LED on the keyboard flashes in 5 seconds intervals.

WARNING
For your own security, it is recommended to change the opening code as soon as you open the safe for the first time (see point 3).

CLOSING

To close the safe, push the door and insert the key and turn it towards left

PROGRAMMING OPENING CODES

This safe has 2 opening codes from 1 to 8 digits each one: a master code and a user code.

WARNING

For your own security, it is recommended to change the opening code while the safe door is open. If you introduce a wrong number, you can press the * key to delete it.

CHANGING MASTER CODE

  • Press the * key + ENTER
  • Press the 1 key + ENTER
  • Enter the initial master code 123456 and press ENTER
  • Enter the new master code (4 digits minimum and 6 digits maximum) and press ENTER
  • Repeat the new master code and press ENTER

PROGRAMMING USER CODE (using the master-code)

  • By default the safe is supplied with user code deactivated.
  • Press the * key + ENTER
  • Press the 2 key + ENTER
  • Enter the valid master-code (1-2-3-4-5-6 if original one has not been changed in advance) and press ENTER
  • Enter the user code (4 digits minimum and 6 digits maximum) and press ENTER.
  • Repeat the user code and press ENTER

CHANGING USER CODE (without using master-code)

The change of the user code without using the master code is possible only if the user code was set in advance by using the master code.

  • Press the * key + ENTER
  • Press the 3 key + ENTER
  • Enter the valid user-code and press ENTER
  • Enter the new user code (4 digits minimum and 6 digits maximum) and press ENTER
  • Repeat the new user code and press ENTER.

DELETING USER CODE (with master-code)

  • Press the * key + ENTER
  • Press the 0 key + ENTER
  • Enter the valid master-code and press ENTER
  • The user code is deleted.

If the new code is entered correctly, 2 beeps souds and a green LED flashes. Otherwise, 3 beeps sound warning that the operation was not succesfull, so the initial code remains saved. Repeat again the operation.
During operation if you enter a wrong number of digits, a red LED flashes warning about the error. After an error is made, start the programming again by pressing ENTER or the * key.

CHANGING THE BATTERIES

If the voltage is low, every time “*” key is pressed 5 beeps sounds and the red LED flashes warning the batteries have to be changed. Extract the battery compartment located outside the safe, at the lower part of the keyboard, and place 4 alkaline batteries of 1.5 V. The code remains saved even if the battery is switched off.

MAINTENANCE

Check the condition of the battery compartment on a regular basis (every 6 months) to identify any possible signs of rust, sulphation, etc. Grease/oil any mechanical moving parts, such as locks and bolts.

IMPORTANT

Recycling WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) is key as a safety measure in ensuring the health of people and the environment. Always use specific collection centres established for returning and managing used electrical and electronic equipment. Before disposing of WEEE at a collection centre, remove the batteries and dispose of them separately so they may be managed correctly.

GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE

This product is guaranteed for the periods stipulated in the Law on Guarantees. ARREGUI is liable for any non-conformities that may occur as a result of a manufacturing fault that affects the performance of the product within the legally prescribed timeframe. After this period, the consumer will have to prove that the non-conformity already existed at the time of receiving the product. The warranty does not cover faults caused as a result of improper use or installation, excessive moisture or salinity, water or cement leakage, force, unauthorised manipulation of the mechanisms, catastrophic events, knocks or falls. The repair or replacement of any faulty part will involve an extension of the guarantee of the repaired or replacement part, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Guarantees.
