Thank you for purchasing this safe. We advise you to read the instructions before you install and use the safe to prevent its improper use from making the guarantee void.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCT
FRONT DIAGRAM OF THE SAFE
- Knob.
- Plastic cover – Emergency lock and socket for external power supply for battery.
- Numeric keypad.
- Fingerprint reader.
FIRST TIME THE SAFE IS OPENED AND INSTALLATION OF THE BATTERIES
- Remove the small plastic cover on the front panel by pressing the left side of the cover inward
- Insert the key into the key hole and turn it counter-clockwise direction and keep it in that position.
- Turn the doorknob clockwise direction to open the safe.
- In order to function, the safe needs 4 x 1.5 V alkaline batteries that are placed at the back of the door.
- Open the cover of the battery holder and place the batteries taking into consideration their polarity.
- To ensure the system has been successfully activated, do the following:
- Press and hold the “reset” button, on the left of the back of the door next to the hinges, the green LED will flash approx. 15 times and at the end you will hear a long beep.
CONFIGURE AND DELETE FINGERPRINT
Configure fingerprint
- Press the “reset” button on the left of the back of the door.
- When the fingerprint reader lights up, place your finger on the reader and you will hear two short beeps and one long long beep.
- Up to 32 fingerprints can be registered.
Delete all fingerprints
- Press and hold the “reset” button on the left of the back of the door next to the hinges, the green LED will flash approx. 15 times and at the end you will hear a long beep, to indicate all fingerprints have been deleted.
IMPORTANT NOTE : each time you press the reset button, the user code reverts to factory code “1234”. Change it immediately.
PROGRAMMING THE USER CODE
Press and hold the digit “1” until the green LED turns on. Enter the code
above (the default code is “1234”) and press the button
When you hear a long beep, enter the new code (3 to 8 digits) and press . To
confirm, repeat the operation. Enter the code again and press .
If the operation has been successful, you will hear a long beep at the end and
the LED will turn off.
OPENING THE SAFE
Fingerprint access
- Press
- When the fingerprint reader lights up, place finger on it.
- You will hear a beep and the green LED will light up to indicate the door can be opened, turn the knob in a clockwise direction and open the door.
- If the operation has not been carried out correctly, the red and green LEDs will light up at same time and you will hear 3 beeps.
Note: if the fingerprint system has not registered any fingerprints, the door cannot be opened using this system, configure the prints.
Code access
- Enter your access code and press
- You will hear a beep and the green LED will light up to indicate that the door can be opened, turn the knob in a clockwise direction and open the door.
- If the operation has not been carried out correctly, the red and green LEDs will light up at same time and you will hear 3 beeps.
EMERGENCY OPENING
If you have forgotten the code or your fingerprint does not work or the box
runs out of batteries, use the emergency key to open the safe (see point 2)
and then reset code and fingerprint access.
When the battery is running low, the red light will flash, which means
you must change the batteries.
CLOSING
Close the door and turn the knob counter-clockwise.
CAUTION!
Do not store the emergency keys in the safe.
USING THE EXTERNAL BATTERY FEED
To carry out an opening with the external feed, proceed in the following manner:
- Place 4 x 1,5V (AA) batteries in the external feed.
- Insert the feed connector in the current outlet located on the lower left of the keypad. The box will emit a long beep, indicating that it has a feed connection. Do not remove the feeder until the opening procedure has been completed.
INSTALLING THE SAFE
To reduce the risk of theft from the safe, it can be secured to the floor, to
a wall or inside a cupboard. For your convenience, there are holes on the back
and in the bottom, so it can be fixed using anchor bolts.
Caution: the safe should be installed in a horizontal position.
MAINTENANCE
- Check the condition of the battery compartment on a regular basis (every 6 months) to identify any possible signs of rust, sulphation, etc.
- Grease/oil any mechanical moving parts, such as locks and bolts.
- Clean the fingerprint reader with a cloth dampened with a little alcohol.
GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE
The safe is guaranteed for a period of 24 months from the date of its
purchase, as established by the Law 23/2003 dated July 10th on Guarantees in
the Sale of Consumer Goods.
ABSS accepts the responsibility for lacks of approval declared within a period
of two years in the event of any manufacturing fault which affects the
functioning of the safe from the date of its delivery, according to the law.
As from the first 12 months, the buyer must prove that the non-conformity
already existed at the moment he received the safe.
The faults produced as a result of an improper use or installation, an excess
of humidity or salinity, water or cement filtrations, force, the handling of
the devices by non-authorized persons, disasters, impacts and falls are
excluded from the guarantee.
The repair or substitution of any part due to a fault implies a 6-month
extension to the guarantee of the part repaired or substituted. ABSS will
accept the responsibility for the non-conformities that caused this repair
when the same factory faults that caused the first repair are repeated.
IMPORTANT:
- These details must be completed as clearly as possible and without delay by the supplier, who will stamp and sign on behalf of his com-pany in the place indicated.
- The certificate remains in the possession of the purchaser.
- The purchaser must keep the RECEIPT for the purchase of the safe, together with the GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE to be able to accredit the date of purchase. Both documents are necessary to use the guarantee.
