Intended use
The PPKS 35 B3 circle cutter is designed for use with the PPS 40 and PPSK 40 plasma cutters from Parkside. You can use the circle cutter to make circular cuts, the diameter of these cuts can be continuously adjusted over a range of approx. 15 cm to 60 cm. Centering can be carried out either using a magnet or metal pin (during preparation for each centre punch). Please refer to the operating instructions of the plasma cutter you are using for in-formation about material thicknesses that can be cut. The device is not intended for commercial use.

Safety instructions
Never attach the magnets to the plasma cutter itself or its housing. Before using, please read the operating instructions for the circle cutter PPKS 35 B3 and the operating instructions for the plasma cutter you are using in full. Do not put body parts (e.g. fingers) between the magnets and the magnetic surfaces.
Risk of crushing!
It is essential that you observe the safety instructions of your plasma
cutter! Check the circle cutter before fitting it to the plasma cutter.
Damaged components must not be used.
Fitting the circle cutter
Screw the rod of the circle cutter 1 an den to the torch holder with Bakelite
inner ring 5 (Fig. D). Now fit the magnetic holder 3 or metal pin 4 , as shown
in Figure A.
NOTE! Bakelite is a durable, heat-resistant plastic.
Handling the circle cutter
Attach the circle cutter 1 using the magnetic holder 3 or metal pin 4
(during preparation for each centre punch) on to the metal surface to be
processed. Before you can insert the plasma burner of your PPS 40 B3 plasma
cutter or of your PSPP 5 A1 pilot ignition conversion set into the torch stand
with Bakelite inner ring 5 , you must first remove the spacer of the plasma
burner, by pushing it down away from theceramic part as shown in Fig. H
. The plasma
torch can now be inserted into the torch holder with Bakelite inner ring 5 ,
as shown in Figure B. Using the fixing screw 2 on the magnetic holder 3 /
metal pin 4 you can continuously adjust the diameter of the circle cutter 1.
When setting a small diameter make sure that when the plasma torch is being
used, it will not collide with the fixing screw 2 (Fig. E). Never attach
the magnetic foot 3 to the plasma cutter itself or other electrical devices.
Make sure that you do not touch the hot plasma torch by accident.
RISK OF BURNS!
Instructions for conversion:
The pre-fitted Bakelite inner ring with larger internal diameter 10 of the
torch stand with Bakelite inner ring 5 is compatible with the pilot plasma
burners of the PPS 40 B3 plasma cutter, as well as the PSPP 5 A1 pilot
ignition conversion set. By replacing the pre-fitted Bakelite inner ring with
larger internal diameter 10 with the separate Bakelite inner ring with smaller
internal diameter supplied 9 , the circle cutter 1 can be converted for use
with the contact plasma burner of the PPSK 40 as well as with the PPS 40 A1 +
B2 plasma cutters.
Conversion: First undo the screw 7 with the Allen key 6 . Then remove the locking ring 8 . To do this use a flat screwdriver if necessary.
ATTENTION! KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE NOTCH OF THE LOCKING RING 8 .
DANGER OF INJURY!
The Bakelite inner ring with larger internal diameter 10 can be easily removed
after the locking ring 8 has been removed by lifting it up out of the torch
stand 5 . Now insert the Bakelite inner ring with smaller internal diameter 9
into the torch stand 5 from the top as well. When doing this, the thicker edge
of the Bakelite inner ring must point upwards, the notch must point downwards.
Put the screw 7 back in and tighten it with the Allen key 6 . Now fix the
Bakelite inner ring with smaller internal diameter 9 by fitting the locking
ring 8 . If necessary, use a flat screwdriver and make sure that the locking
ring 8 has clicked properly into place in the notch of the Bakelite inner ring
with smaller internal diameter 9.
To convert back to the Bakelite inner ring with arger diameter 10 follow the
instructions in reverse order. Now follow the instructions in the section
“Fitting the circle cutter“ in the operating instructions for the circle
cutter.
