Safety Notes
Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
- Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Only use the air tool for domestic purposes. It is not designed for continuous, professional use.
- Only use the tool according to this instruction manual and for the intended use.
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the compressed air tool, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
- Keep all parts of the set out of reach of children.
- The compressed air tool may only be operated by competent persons. Unintended use or modifications of any kind can lead to injuries or to damage to property.
- Always use the compressed air tool with the necessary care and caution and protect yourself and others form accidents by taking suitable precautions.
- Never aim the air tool at yourself, other persons or animals.
- For your own safety always use the quick coupling adaptor to connect the air tool to the air supply and always regulate the working pressure by using a pressure regulator. Do not exceed the max. permitted working air pressure of 8 bar.
- Never use oxygen or flammable gases as source of energy.
- Check if all connections and hoses are mechanically secured and if they are functioning properly. Loose hoses may cause severe injuries. Only use quick coupling adaptors.
- Disconnect the air tool from the compressed air source before doing any maintenance work or when not in use.
- Do not modify the air tool in any way and do not use it for any unintended use. Only use original accessory and original replacement parts. Not recommended accessory can bear a risk of danger.
- Do not continue using a damaged air tool. Do not open the unit and do not try to repair it yourself. Contact a professional or our customer service.
Overview
Operation Intended Use
- The air tool is intended for vacuuming of loose, dry dirt such as dust, lint, crumbs on floor coverings and upholstery in the home and car. It is not suitable for vacuuming of hazardous dust and liquids.
- The air tool can also be used for blow-drying, cleaning and blowing out material from objects and difficult to access places.
- The intended use also includes an operation following the operating instructions.
- Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or any changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious risks and is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose.
Before first Use
Unpack the air tool and the accessory and check all parts for any damage in transit. Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach of children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Using as Blow Gun
- Insert the injector nozzle (1), as shown in figure A, into the rear opening of the device. Pay attention to the direction of the injector nozzle and make sure to add the two sealing rings at both ends of the connecting piece.
- Screw the dust bag connector (2) on the rear opening of the device.
- If necessary, install the flexible hose (13) at the suction/blow opening (3) of the device. Secure the hose with a hose clamp (8).
- The device is equipped with an air quick coupling adaptor (6). Use the quick coupling adaptor to connect the air tool with the compressed air supply.
- Power up the compressed air generator.
- Press the trigger (4) to start the delivery of air. The farther the trigger is pressed, the stronger the air jet will be.
- Release the trigger to stop the delivery of air.
- After work disconnect the tool from the compressed air generator.
Using as Vacuum Cleaner
- Insert the injector nozzle (1), as shown in figure B, into the rear opening of the device. Pay attention to the direction of the injector nozzle and make sure to add the two sealing rings at both ends of the connecting piece.
- Screw the dust bag connector (2) on the rear opening of the device.
- Put the dust bag (7) on the dust bag connector (2) and secure it with a hose clamp (8). Close the dust bag with the zipper.
- If necessary, install the flexible hose (13) at the suction/blow opening (3) of the device. Secure the hose with a hose clamp (8).
- Depending on each specific application, put either the suction lance or the suction brush on the other end of the flexible hose resp. install it directly on the suction/blow opening of the device.
- The device is equipped with an air quick coupling adaptor (6). Use the quick coupling adaptor to connect the air tool with the compressed air supply.
- Power up the compressed air generator.
- Press the trigger (4) to start the delivery of air. The farther the trigger is pressed, the stronger the air jet will be and the stronger the suction power will be.
- Lead the suction brush resp. the suction lance in evenly movements across the surface to be cleaned. The dirt is sucked through the suction opening and transferred into the dust bag. When vacuum cleaning, always pay attention to the filling level of the dust bag.
- Release the trigger to stop the delivery of air.
- After work disconnect the tool from the compressed air generator. When the dust bag is filled during operation, hold the tool over a garbage bag, etc. and open the zipper. Dispose of the contents of the dust bag. Then carefully close the dust bag with the zipper.
Maintenance and Care
Maintenance, Lubrication and Care
- To ensure proper functionality and a long lifetime, diligent maintenance is essential.
- For operating pneumatic tools, clean air is required. Corrosion residues, dust and dirt from the pneumatic pipes reduce the efficiency of the tool and will cause technical problems. An upstream maintenance unit consisting of filter and pressure regulator valve removes moisture and dirt from the air and controls the working pressure.
- If possible, only use compressed air hoses for the air supply that previously have not been used with other air tools which required an oil-fog lubrication system.
- After use, clean the device and the accessory with a moist cloth. Do not use abrasive or aggressive chemicals as benzene or thinner, which may dissolve plastic parts.
- Do not allow liquids to enter the air tool and never immerse it into liquids. Water in the compressed air inlet can damage the machine. Therefore it is recommended to drain the air lines and the compressor in regular intervals! Also clean the air filters in regular intervals.
- Oil or lubricate the moving parts of the air tool’s trigger mechanism in regular intervals.
Air Pressure and Air Volume
- Operate the air tool with the pressure of 6 bar using a compressor with an air suction capacity of at least 200 l/min. When using higher pressure than the max. permitted pressure of 8 bar for operating the air tool, its self life will be reduced drastically. The ideal capacity is provided by compressors with a suction capacity of 300 – 400 l/min.
- Only use air hoses with an inner diameter of at least 9 mm. When setting up the air pressure, always keep in mind that the pressure will decrease by approx. 0.6 bar when using a 10 m long hose with an inner diameter of 9 mm.
Storing
- Store the device and all parts of the set indoors in a dust and dirt-free location.
