- Read and understand the instructions before you use the product
- Save these instructions and safety instructions for future reference.
- Do not use the product for tasks other than its intended purpose. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any damage that is a result of improper use.
- Do not use the product as a heater.
- Do not use the product indoors.
- Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury.
- Make sure that the product is on a stable and heat-resistant surface when you operate it.
- Make sure that the product is at least 3 m away from flammable materials and vegetation when you use the product.
- Only use charcoal or briquettes in the product.
- Put charcoal or briquettes in the charcoal tray at the bottom of the product only.
- Keep flammable liquids and pressure containers away from the product.
- Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3. Do not use alcohol, petrol, lighter fluid or paraffin as a firelighter.
- If you use an electric firelighter, keep the cable away from the hot surfaces on the product.
- Do not spray flammable liquid on lit charcoal or lit briquettes.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Only use the handles on the product.
- Do not move the product when the charcoal or the briquettes are lit. Risk of burn injury.
- Do not use the product if parts are missing. Speak to the retailer of the product if parts are missing.
- Do not use the product if it is damaged or is defective.
- Do not repair the product. A damaged or defective product must be repaired at an authorized service center. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any damage that is a result of unauthorized repairs.
- Do not let children play with the product.
- Do not let children clean the product.
- Keep children and pets away from the product.
- Keep the packaging material away from children. Risk of suffocation.
- Only use accessories and parts that are approved by the manufacturer of the product.
- Do not use water to control or extinguish the charcoal or the briquettes. Close the lid and the air valves fully to extinguish the charcoal or briquettes after operation.
- Let the product become cool before you clean it or do maintenance on it.
- Let the product become cool before you put it in storage.
- Do not discard hot charcoal, briquettes or ashes. Risk of fire and burn injury.
- Make sure that the charcoal or the briquettes are fully extinguished before disposal.
- Keep the product in a dry and closed storage, away from children, when the product is not in operation.
- Clean the product regularly.

Operation
To do before you use the product for the first time
To prevent metallic taste in food items, the metal parts in the product must
be tempered before you use the product for the first time. To temper the metal
parts, do the steps that follow.

Remove all packaging and stickers.
Warning! Risk of fire. Packaging and stickers are flammable. Make sure that all packaging is removed before you use the product. -
Put the product on a stable, heat-resistant surface and press down the locks on the wheels.
Warning! Risk of fire. Make sure that the product is at least 3 m away from flammable materials and vegetation when you use the product. -
Put rolled-up newspapers and firelighters in the charcoal tray at the bottom of the product.
Warning! Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3. Do not use alcohol, petrol, lighter fluid or paraffin as a firelighter. -
Put 2–3 handfuls of charcoal on the rolled-up newspapers.

Open the bottom air valve.

Ignite the newspapers with an applicable firelighter.
Warning! Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury. -
Let the rolled-up newspapers and charcoal burn slowly until the fire stops.
Caution! Do not let the fire burn too strongly. The felt packing can become damaged if the fire burns too strongly. Decrease the airflow if the fire burns too strongly. The airflow is adjusted with the air valves on the product. Refer to “3.4 To adjust the cooking temperature” on page 16. -
When the product has become cool, do a check of all screws and nuts. Tighten the screws and nuts if it is necessary.
To use the product

Put the product on a stable, heat-resistant surface and press down the locks on the wheels.
Warning! Risk of fire. Make sure that the product is at least 3 m away from flammable materials and vegetation when you use the product. -
Put rolled-up newspapers and firelighters in the charcoal tray at the bottom of the product.
Warning! Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3. Do not use alcohol, petrol, lighter fluid or paraffin as a firelighter. -
Put charcoal or briquettes on the rolled-up newspapers and firelighters.
Caution! Use 1 layer of charcoal or briquettes only. Too much charcoal or briquettes can cause damage to the product. -
Fully open the bottom air valve and the top part of the product.

Ignite the newspapers with an applicable firelighter.
Warning! Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury. -
When the charcoal or briquettes are lit, let the bottom air valve and the top part of the product stay fully open for 10 minutes.
Warning! Do not go away from the product when charcoal or briquettes are lit. Risk of fire. -
Wait a minimum of 30 minutes until the charcoal or briquettes have a red glow with a thin layer of grey ash.

Close the top part of the product.
Warning! Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury. -
Adjust the cooking temperature to the required cooking temperature. Refer to “3.4 To adjust the cooking temperature” on page 16.

Prepare the food.
Warning! Do not open the top of the product fully in 1 step. Risk of burn injury. Open the top gradually and slowly to prevent flames. -
Close the air valves and the top part of the grill to extinguish the charcoal or briquettes.
Caution! Do not use water to extinguish the charcoal or the briquettes. Water can cause damage to the ceramic parts of the product. -
Clean the product. Refer to “4.1 To clean the product” on page 16.

Let the product become cool.
To smoke food in the product
-
Prepare the wood chips for use.
Note! Soak the wood chips in water for 15 minutes to prolong the smoking time. -
Create embers. Refer to “3.2 To use the product” on page 15.

Adjust the cooking temperature to the required cooking temperature. Refer to “3.4 To adjust the cooking temperature” on page 16.
Warning! Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury. -
Put the wood chips in a circle directly onto the hot charcoal or briquettes.
Warning! Use protective grill gloves to prevent burn injury. 5 Prepare the food.
Warning! Do not open the top of the product fully in 1 step. Risk of burn injury. Open the top gradually and slowly to prevent flames.
To adjust the cooking temperature
The cooking temperature can be adjusted with the top air valve and the bottom
air valve. Refer to the table below for different cooking temperatures and
cooking times.
Note! If you slow cook or smoke food, It can be necessary to add more charcoal
or briquettes after some time to keep the required cooking temperature.
Maintenance
To clean the product
Caution! Do not use water or detergent on the inner walls of the product.
Water and detergents can cause cracks in the product.

Keep the product at a temperature of about 260°C for 30 minutes to burn off scraps of food.

Let the product become cool.

Remove the grill grate and the charcoal grate from the product.
-
Remove soot with a wire brush or an ash rake.
Warning! Make sure that the product has become cool before you clean it. -
Clean the grill grate and the charcoal grate with hot water and a non-abrasive mild detergent.
Caution! Do not use a dishwasher to clean the grill grate. The grill grate is not dishwasher-safe. -
Clean the inner parts of the product with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
Warning! Make sure that the product has become cool before you clean it.
To do maintenance on the product
Warning! Let the product become cool before you do maintenance.
- Tighten the screws and nuts 2 times per year.
- Lubricate the hinges with oil 2 times per year or more often if it is necessary.
Storage
To put the product in storage
Warning! Let the product become cool before you put the product in
storage.
- Put a protective cover over the product if you keep it outdoors.
- For winter storage or long-term storage, keep the product protected from weather.
Disposal
To discard the product
- Make sure that you follow local regulations when you discard the
product. Do not burn the product.
