SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Remember that the pizza stone gets very hot when it is used.
- Allow the pizza stone to remain on the grill/in the oven to cool before moving it.
OPERATION
Light only the burners that will NOT be directly under the stone. For grills with 2 or more burners, place the pizza stone over an unlit burner. For single burner grills, turn the burner to the lowest setting available.
- Preheat the grill to approximately 790° to 200° c with the stone on the grill.
- Sprinkle a little flour onto the pizza stone before use. This will prevent the pizza from sticking to the stone.
- Place the pizza on the pizza stone. Keep the pizza away from open flames to prevent it getting burnt.
- Close the grill lid.
- Bake the pizza and rotate it at regular intervals until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Total grilling time depends on grill temperature.
- Carefully remove the pizza from the pizza stone using a pizza shovel.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Leave the pizza stone to cool down on the grill.
Using the pizza stone on charcoal/ briquette grill
- Light the coal/briquettes and wait until they are covered by grey ashes.C
- The grill must maintain a high temperature and the charcoal/briquettes must be placed in a circle beneath the pizza stone, as far out towards the side of the grill as possible.
- Carefully position the pizza stone and allow it to heat up for about 70 minutes before putting on the pizza.
- Preheat the pizza stone for 70-20 minutes.
- Place the pizza on the pizza stone.
- Check the pizza after 3 to 4 minutes. Make holes in any bubbles with a fork.
- Rotate the pizza for more even baking. Be careful not to burn yourself!
- Continue baking until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted. Baking time for a normal crust pizza is 71-78 min.
- Carefully take the pizza out of the oven using a pizza shovel.
- Let the pizza to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Leave the pizza stone to cool down in the oven.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Never clean the pizza stone with washing-up liquid as it will absorb it. Use
only hot water to clean the pizza stone.
- After the pizza stone has cooled, scrape off all food residue.
- Then, completely submerge the stone in warm water for 75-20 minutes.
- Finally, rinse the stone under warm running water and allow it to air dry before using it again.
