Chapter 2. Make connections

Enjoy music and hands-free calling with your earbuds by using the Bluetooth function of your device.

Connect with a Bluetooth device
Pair your Bluetooth device to use it with the earbuds for the first time. Before you make the pairing operation, make sure your earbuds and the charging case are charged sufficiently.
To pair the earbuds with your device for the first time after purchase or after resetting the earbuds, follow these steps:

Open the charging case, and keep it next to your device. The earbud LED indicators flash in blinking blue.
Unlock your device, and turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
Select TCL MOVEAUDIO S180 from the list of available devices to complete the connection.

NOTES

When you pair the earbuds with a device for the first time after purchase or after resetting the earbuds, the earbuds enter pairing mode automatically if you open the charging case.
If pairing is not established within 5 minutes, the pairing mode will be cancelled and the earbuds will turn off.

To pair the earbuds with your device manually, follow these steps:

Remove both earbuds from the charging case, and wear the earbuds.
Triple-press either earbud, and hold the third press for about 2 seconds.
Unlock your device, and turn on the Bluetooth function on your device.
Select TCL MOVEAUDIO S180 from the list of available devices to complete the connection.

NOTE
If pairing is not established within 5 minutes, the pairing mode will be cancelled and the earbuds will turn off.

Disconnect from a Bluetooth device
Disconnect your earbuds from the Bluetooth device using these methods:

Put both earbuds in the charging case, and close the case.
Turn off the Bluetooth function on your device.
Go to the Bluetooth setting on your device, tap your earbuds from the device list, and select disconnection option.
NOTE: The disconnection procedure may vary depending on your device model.

Reconnect with your devices
After successful pairing, the earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device if taken out of the charging case.
NOTES

The earbuds and Bluetooth device must be turned on and within connection range.
If the earbuds cannot find and connect to the last paired device, they will enter pairing mode after 15 seconds.

Chapter 3. Use your earbuds

Tap or press the touch control area on the earbuds to control your music, phone calls, and other useful functions without getting out your phone.

Music feature
You can perform the playback controls by tapping and holding your right earbud.

Double tap	Play or pause
Press and hold for 3 seconds	Next song

Call feature

Phone controls
Manage calls by tapping and holding either of your earbuds.

Double tap	Answer or end a call
Press and hold for 3 seconds	• Reject an incoming call

• Mute or unmute your microphone during phone call

Call waiting
If you receive an incoming call while on a call, you can use either earbud to perform the following operations.

Double tap	Answer the incoming call and place the current call on hold
Press and hold for 3 seconds	Reject the incoming call and stay on the current

call

Noise control feature
The noise cancelling control function is assigned to your left earbud by default. Press and hold your left earbud for 3 seconds to switch between Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency and OFF modes.
ANC mode reduces external sounds. With this mode activated, you can enjoy music or phone calls without being disturbed by ambient noise. Transparency mode lets external sounds in, so you can hear what’s going on around you. OFF mode turns off both ANC and Transparency modes.
NOTE
To save battery, disable the noise cancelling control function when not in use.

Voice assist feature
Activate the voice assistant on your device by double tapping the left earbud.

Restart the earbuds
If you encounter connection or pairing issues when using your earbuds, try restarting them by following these steps:

Put both earbuds in the charging case, and close the case.
Wait for more than 2 minutes.
Take your earbuds out of the case. The earbuds have been restarted.

NOTE
The pairing information is retained even if the earbuds are restarted. The earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device if taken out of the case.

Reset the earbuds
If connection or pairing issues persist after the earbuds are restarted, try resetting your earbuds by following these steps:

Tap both earbuds 4 times at the same time.
The earbud LED indicators flash in solid blue when the earbuds enter reset process.

NOTE
All pairing information is deleted when the earbuds are reset to factory settings. After reset process, the earbuds will enter pairing mode automatically.
