  • Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children! There is a danger of choking!

This device contains electronic parts that are powered by a power source (AC adapter and/or batteries). Improper use of this product may result in electric shock. Electric shock can cause serious or fatal injuries. It is therefore imperative that you observe the following safety information.

  • Never leave children unattended when handling the device! Follow the instructions carefully and do not attempt to power this device with anything other than power  sources recommended in this instruction manual, otherwise there is a danger of an electric shock!

Improper use of this product may result in fire. It is essential that you observe the following safety information in order to avoid fires.

  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fire! Excessive  heat or improper handling could trigger a short-circuit, a fire or an explosion!

Improper handling may result in damage to the unit and/or accessories. Therefore, use the device only in accordance with the following safety information.

  • Do not disassemble the device! In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer. They will contact the Service Center and can arrange the return of this device for  repair if necessary.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water!
  • Do not expose the device to impacts, vibrations, dust, constant high temperatures or excessive humidity. This can result in malfunctions, short-circuits or damage to the batteries and components.
  • Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, complete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or types or with different capacities. Remove batteries from the device if it is not to be used for a longer period of time!

Setting up power supply

  1. To insert the batteries, open the back cover by pressing and lifting the latch.
  2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the battery polarity (+/-) is correct.
  3. Close and secure the battery compartment. Make sure that the cover is firmly closed.
    Note: please use only Alkaline batteries.

Insert micro SD memory card

  1. Since the camera has no built-in memory, it can only work if a Micro SD card is inserted.
  2. Please do not insert or remove an SD card when the power is on.
  3. The device supports Micro SD cards with capacity up to 32 GB.
  4. To insert a Micro SD card, push the card into the slot until you hear a click. The side with the lettering must be facing up.
  5. Insert the Micro SD card as indicated. Never force the card into the slot. Never bend or twist the Micro SD card.
  6. To remove the Micro SD card, push the card slightly to pop it out.
  7. It is recommended to format the card via the camera the first time it is used with the device.
  8. To avoid malfunctions, keep the Micro SD card away from moisture and avoid vibration, dust, heat sources and direct sunlight.
  9. After transport, wait until the Micro SD card has reached room temperature before using it for the first time. Major fluctuations in temperature or humidity may cause  condensation and electrical short-circuit. Store the micro SD card in a protective case when not in use.
  10. When the Micro SD card is full, it will automatically stop taking pictures and videos.

Location / Assembly

  1. Use the mounting strap to attach the camera to a tree, for example.
  2. Before monitoring, please set all desired functions and parameters in the setting mode or use the default mode.
  3. The location should be chosen according to the objects to be observed. The recommended height is 1-2 meters.
  4. Please make sure that the camera points to the target area. The maximum distance of the IR lights is 15 meters. Avoid direct backlight. Therefore, choose the position of  the camera so that you can point the camera towards the north or that the camera is in the shade.
  5. Avoid high temperatures or strong movements in front of the camera. e.g. air conditioners, chimneys or other heat sources. This can have a negative influence on the  shutter release behaviour of the camera.

Initial operation

  1. Press the ON/OFF button for about 3 seconds to turn the camera on.
  2. Once powered on, the LCD will start counting from 10 to 1, and if no other buttons are pressed, the camera will enter default mode.
  3. This time is intended as a buffer to place the camera in the intended location. After the 10 seconds, the device will automatically start recording images.
  4. In default mode the date will be set to 21/01/01. The time will be 00:00. The Camera ID will be 001. The PIR sensitivity will be Lo. The delay will be 5 minutes (before  the next trigger).
  5. Alternatively, to set up the camera by yourself, press any of these buttons (up, down, ENTER) to enter Set Up mode.
  6. If no SD card is inserted, a flashing “n0” is displayed on the screen. After 5 seconds, the camera switches off. Insert the SD card and switch the unit on again.
  7. To stop shooting and turn off the camera, press the ON/OFF button for about 3 seconds.

  • YY: Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the current year, then press ENTER to confirm the selection.
  • MM: Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the current month, then press ENTER to confirm the selection.
  • DD: Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the current day and then press ENTER to confirm the selection.

Time

  • Hour: Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the current hour and then press ENTER to confirm the selection.
  • Minute: Press the UP or DOWN button to move to the current minute, then press ENTER to confirm the selection.

  • Press the UP or DOWN button and then ENTER to confirm the selection.

Cam ID (Shown as icon [b], see the picture above)

  • If several cameras are in use, number each camera (up to 99). Press the UP or DOWN button and press ENTER to confirm the selection between Id:01 and id:099.
    PIR

  • Select Lo or HI for PIR sensitivity.

  • Press the UP or DOWN button, and then ENTER to confirm the selection.
    DLY

  • “Delay” option allows you to determine how many seconds between each trigger.

  • Press the UP or DOWN button, and then ENTER to confirm the selection between 1, 5 and 10 minutes.

  • The battery icon has 4 levels to display the power status. Press ENTER to move to the next setting.
    Micro SD card Icon (Shown as icon [e], see the picture above)

  •  It indicates the status of the Micro SD card. If no Micro SD card is inserted, it displays “n0” and continues to flash.

  • If a Micro SD card is inserted, it shows “F:n”, and you can use the UP or DOWN button to choose from F:n (don’t format SD) or F:y (format SD).

  • Press ENTER to end the setting mode, or format the Micro SD card and then finish the set up.

Downloading files

  1. Eject the Micro SD card from the camera and insert it into a card reader that is connected to a computer.
  2. Open [My Computer] or [Windows Explorer] and double-click the removable disk icon that represents the Micro SD card.
  3. Copy images or videos from the card to your computer.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Switch off the device to perform maintenance tasks or when the device is not in use.
  • Only clean the device externally using a dry cloth. Do not use cleaning solution to prevent damage to the electronic parts.
  • Do not expose the device to impacts, vibrations, dust, constant high temperatures or excessive humidity. This can result in malfunctions, short-circuits or damage to the batteries and components.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental authority for information on the proper disposal.

**** Do not dispose of electronic devices in the household garbage!
According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally sound manner.

**** Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators and can return the  batteries after use either in our sales outlet or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. in the trade or in municipal collection points) free of charge.
Batteries and accumulators are marked with a crossed-out dustbin and the chemical symbol of the pollutant, “Cd” stands for cadmium, “Hg” stands for mercury and “Pb” stands for lead.
