- If the switch for ‘cook’ function is difficult to press. do not force it. This sometimes occurs when cooking has just finished.
- Be sure to unplug cord when the cooker is not being used. Remember, the ‘keep warm· feature operates whenever the cord is plugged in.
MAINTENANCE
- Remove pot and lid. Wash them in soapy water. Rinse completely then dry with cloth.
- Clean the outside of cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of the cooker’s exterior with abrasive cleaners. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water and mild dish detergent.
- Except for the inner pot, steamer and lid, do not submerge any part of cooker in water.
- To clean the heating plate and thermo-control plate, use steel wool to polish or remove any residue. Wipe clean with a damp cloth afterwards. Allow to dry completely.
- Keep the heating plate and thermo-control plate free from any foreign objects, otherwise the cooker may not function properly.
- Improper cleaning of the rice cooker may cause unpleasant odors.
- Any residue of vinegar or salt may cause the pan to corrode.
- Caution! Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects. Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

Before operating the machine
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner.
- Make sure that you position your appliance in an area far from curtains or any combustible material. This is to safeguard against fire.
- Always attach the plug to the cooker first then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, switch to ‘Keep Warm’ function then unplug from the wall outlet.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
- To disconnect, remove the plug from the oulet. Do not pull plug out by the cord.
- Do not operate the appliance other than for its intended use.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorised technician. Always have a faulty cable replaced by the manufacturer.
- Do not plug in the power cord with wet hands.
- Appliance is for indoor use only.
- This appliance is intended for domestic use only. The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for possible damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR APPLIANCE
USING YOUR RICE COOKER
- Using the measuring cup provided in the package, measure and put rice to the pot.
- Using the measuring cup again, add the correct amount of water to the rice inside the pot according to the following standard:
CUPS OF RAW RICE
- 8 cups
- 6 cups
- 4 cups
- 2 cups
VOLUME OF WATER TO BE ADDED
- 8 to 8.5 cups
- 6 to 6.5 cups
- 4 to 5 cups
- 2.5 to 3 cups
- Set the pot in the cooker. Close the lid firmly. Turn the pot gently from right to left ensuring that the pot is positioned correctly.
- Plug in the power cord. (Do not plug in until you are ready to cook). Cooking will not start when pot is not inside the cooker.
- Press the switch. ‘Cook’ indicator signifies that cooking has started.
- When rice is partially done, the switch will pop to ‘keep warm’ function. Leave it covered for al least 10 minutes to fully cook the rice.
- Keep the lid on the pot while cooking. Keep it in place even after serving to prevent rice from drying out.
- To stew, the water must not exceed 70 percent of the total volume capacity of the pot.
- Do not touch the ventilating hole to avoid scalding.
- Keep the bottom of the pot and surface heater plate free from any objects to prevent operation malfunction.
