PETERMANN 99811-PM-3012 Raising Aid Magic
General Information
Thank you for choosing a Petermann product.
Please read the user manual carefully before using the product for the first time
The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common. There are many situations in which a patient has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, ambulance stretcher, an X-Ray table or a wheelchair to a different stretcher or seat. The strain on the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly through the use of Raising Aids. The use of transfer aids should be conditional upon the user having learned to use the equipment properly. The user has to decide for themselves what equipment is suitable to the patient’s situation and the intended sequence of movements. Raising Aids are part of a product range with a wide range of possible applications. This product is used in particular when raising and/or transferring patients in hospitals and other health care facilities as well as home care settings. The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified conditions. The Raising Aids are safe transfer aids, which allow for transfers which are pleasant and comfortable for the patient as well as being simple and back-friendly for the user. The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being transferred and moved, as well as the user performing the transfer / position change. Contact us if you require additional information or assistance using the Petermann product. The Petermann Transfer Aid Magic is patented under following patent no.:

Function check
Transfer products are also subject to a natural ageing process. Inspect the equipment regularly and carefully, in particular before each use. Ensure that the product is in sound condition and that the material and the seams are not damaged. Check the product functionality by applying pressure to the handles and buckle and ensure that the material withstands the load. The rough surface of the anti-slip material prevents slipping. Check these properties – ideally in comparison to a new product.
