USE
Before first use
Remove the appliance and its accessories from the packaging. Before disposing
of the packaging, be sure to remove all components. Check the appliance and
accessories for damage.
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a soft sponge slightly moistened with
warm water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Make sure that all parts of the appliance are dry before use.
Choosing the right cookware
An induction coil is installed under each cooking zone, which generates an
electro-magnetic field when switched on. This produces an inductive current in
the ferromag-netic bottom of the cookware, so it is important to use cookware
that is suitable for induction hobs The induction current heats the bottom of
the cookware, not the hob.
The heat from the bottom is then transferred to the food or liquids in the
cookware. Check the product packaging or pot bottom to see if there is an
induction symbol. In this case, the cookware is suitable for use.
To find out if the cookware is suitable for an induction hob, you can place a
magnet next to it. If the magnet is attracted to the dishes, such dishes are
suitable for use. Material suitable for use on the induction hob: cast iron,
steel, enamel, stainless steel with ferromagnetic bottom.
Material unsuitable for use on induction hob: pure stainless steel, aluminum
or copper without ferromagnetic bottom, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic or
earthenware. Never use utensils made of plastic or melanin.
Use cookware with a flat and smooth bottom that corresponds to the diameter of
the cooking zone. Do not use cookware with a serrated edge, a round bottom or
a dam-aged bottom.
Lift the cookware upwards from the hob. Do not slide it across the cooking
surface. There’s a risk of damage.
The cooking zone of the induction cooker automatically adjusts to the diameter
of the cookware base. However, do not use cookware with too small or large a
bottom diame-ter. We recommend using cookware with a diameter between 12 and
26 cm.
Note:
If you use unsuitable cookware or if the cooker detects that no cookware is
placed on it, it will automatically switch off. This is a normal and safety
phenomenon to prevent damage to the appliance.
Radio interference
Use of an induction cooker may cause interference with radio, television or
similar receivers. In this case, we recommend:
- redirect the radio or TV antenna;
- move the hob away from the radio, TV or receiver;
- plug the power cord plug into another socket with a separate circuit.
Touch control
The induction hob is equipped with electronic controls that respond to a
gentle touch, no need to exert excessive pressure.
Use you the fleshy part of your fingertip, not the tips, to press the control.
It is impor-tant that you keep your fingers clean and dry.
Each touch of the control is signaled by a sound.
Keep the control panel and its elements clean and dry. Do not place objects
(such as a dishtowel, etc.) on them. Even small amounts of water can make it
difficult to control.
Use
Place the induction hob on the worktop or table. Make sure it is located
within reach of a power outlet. Make sure that the power supply cable does not
touch a hot surface or is not routed over a sharp edge. Observe all safety
precautions.
Make sure the surface of the induction hob is clean and dry.
Fully unwind the power cord and plug the power plug into the mains socket. A
short audible warning will sound and the fan will run for a short time. The
display will show “OFF”.
Starting operation and setting the cooking zone power
-
Place suitable cookware on the cooking zone.
-
Press the button . The display will show “ON”.
-
If you need to set the power of the cooking zone in watts (W), press the button once briefly. The POWER indicator lights up and the display shows the default value “1 600”, which represents a power of 1 600 W. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the desired power between 200 W and 1 800 W. The display shows the reference value: 200 – 350 – 500 – 650 – 800 – 1,000 – 1,200 – 1,400 – 1,600 – 1,800.
-
To set the cooking zone temperature (in °C), press the button twice briefly. The TEMPERATURE indicator lights up and the display shows the default value of “240”, which represents a temperature of 240 °C. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the desired output from 60 °C to 240 °C. The display will show the reference value: 60 – 80 – 100
– 120 – 140 – 160 – 180 – 200 – 220 – 240. -
When you have finished using the hob, switch it off using the button.
Timer
The induction hob is equipped with a timer that allows the cooking zone to be
switched off automatically after a set time interval.
- Switch on the hob and adjust the power or temperature of the cooking zone.
- Press the button and the display will show “0:00”. The TIMER indicator lights up.
- Use the +/- buttons to set the desired time interval from 1 minute to 3 hours. Once the time interval value on the display has stabilized, the countdown starts automatically.
- After the time interval has elapsed, the cooking zone automatically switches off.
Control panel lock
Press the button to lock the control panel. The function of the buttons will
be disa-bled to prevent tampering. Press the button again to cancel this
function.
Residual heat
The induction hob heats up during use and the cooking zone can stay hot for
several minutes after it has been switched off. If the “H” symbol lights up on
the display after the cooking zone has been switched off, this means that the
cooking zone is too hot and there is a risk of serious burns if you touch it.
When the cooking zone temperature falls below the safe limit, the “H” symbol
in the display will go out.
Overheating protection
The induction hob is equipped with overheating protection. If the cookware in
the cooking zone becomes too hot, an audible warning will sound and the hob
will auto-matically switch off. In this case, disconnect the plug from the
power supply and let the cooker cool down. You will then be able to use it
again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always switch off the appliance, disconnect the plug from the mains socket and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance.
Warning:
Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or other
liquid.
Do not use plastic or metal scrapers, harsh cleaners, chemicals, petrol, solvents or other similar substances to clean any parts of the appliance. The surface finish could be seriously damaged.
Clean the induction hob after each use.
Use only a soft sponge slightly dampened in warm water to clean the outer
surface. You can use a gentle dishwashing liquid. Wipe dry.
Significant dirt and stains (e.g. food residues, spills, etc.) are best
removed while the cooker is still slightly warm. Use commercially available
cleaners designed for this type of hob.
Burnt sugar or molten plastic must be removed immediately using a scraper for
glass.
Grains of sand (e.g. from potatoes or lettuce) can scratch the surface of the
hob when moving the cookware around. Always wipe the surface of the cooker and
the bottom of the container before placing it on the hob.
Storage
Before storing, make sure that the appliance and its accessories are cool and
clean. Store the appliance and its accessories in a dry and well-ventilated
place out of the reach of children or pets.
Do not place any objects on the appliance.
