Before First Use
Read the operating instructions and safety instructions carefully before using the product for the first time. Keep the operating instructions together with the product for later use. If other persons use this product, make this manual available to them. If you sell the instrument, this manual is part of the instrument and must be supplied with it.
Intended Use
This product is designed as a torch for use in a dry environment and for personal use only. It must not be used for any other purpose, and especially not for domestic and permanent room lighting.
Explanation of Symbols
The following symbols are used in this manual, on the product or on the packaging.
Products marked with this symbol comply with all relevant Community regulations of the European Economic Area.

Safety Instructions
- The product is protected against splashing water on all sides. However, do not expose it to moisture/wetness continuously.
- This product is not completely waterproof. Never submerge it under water.
- Explosion hazard! Do not use the product near flammable gases or liquids. Keep the torch away from hot surfaces.
- Keep product and accessories away from open flames, hot surfaces and easily flammable materials.
- Do not use or store the product at high temperatures or in enclosed spaces with direct sunlight. The product should not be used at ambient temperatures above 40 °C.
- If the product has been damaged so that internal parts are exposed, then the product must no longer be used.
- Do not look into the light beam of the torch for a long time.
- If the product or accessories are damaged, they must be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.
- Away from the battery compartment, the housing must not be opened and repairs must only be carried out by a specialist. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. In case of repairs by the user, improper connection or incorrect operation, any liability and all warranty claims are excluded.
- Do not insert any objects into the product.
- Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
- Remove batteries from the housing if the product will not be used for a long time.
- Do not point the product at car, bus, bicycle, motorcycle drivers or train drivers while driving or aircraft in the sky. The driver or pilot may be blinded, causing an accident. This also applies to persons or groups not listed when possible glare could cause an accident.
- Do not shine directly into the eyes of people or animals, as this can cause retinal damage, visual disturbances and even blindness.
- The product is not a toy. Keep the product, accessories and packaging materials away from children and pets to prevent accidents and choking.
- This product can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-how if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the potential hazards arising from its use. Children must not play with the product. The product must not be cleaned or cared for by children. Keep children under the age of eight away from the product and accessories.
- The legal regulations for the use of torches depend on the country in which the torches are used. Find out about this before using the torch.
- If you sell the product to another person, also pass on this operating manual to that person.

Inserting the Batteries
Unscrew the battery compartment cover [1] cover and remove the battery holder.
Insert the three AAA batteries with the „minus“ end facing the spring. Then
slide the battery holder back into the torch with the pin facing forward. The
arrow on the battery holder indicates the direction of insertion. Then screw
the battery compartment cover back on.
Note: Incorrect installation can damage the torch.
Operation

Press the On/Off button and mode button [2] firmly to turn the Rollei Torch on or off. Press repeatedly to turn the Rollei Torch off again, and press again to change the color mode (warm white, cool white and red).

By pressing lightly on the on/off button and mode button [2], you change the mode without buttoning off the Rollei Torch.

By pulling and pushing the zoom head [3] of the Rollei Torch, you can enlarge or reduce the light cone.
