HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK
WARNING : Do not use the charger outdoors or expose it to wet or damp
conditions. Water entering the charger will increase the risk of electric
shock.
NOTICE : Lithium-ion battery packs are partially charged before shipping.
Before using it for the first time, fully charge the battery pack.
- Connect the charger to the power supply (220-240V ~ 50Hz). LED Indicator 1 briefly shines green and LED Indicator 2 briefly shines red at the same time, indicating that the charger is working properly.
- Align the raised ribs of the battery pack with the mounting slots in the charger; slide the battery pack down onto the charger, as shown in Fig. B.
- The charger will communicate with the battery pack to evaluate the condition of the battery pack.
- When charging a battery pack, LED Indicator 1 on the charger flashes green. For the BA1400, BA2800, BA4200 battery packs, the power indicator on the battery pack flashes red, orange and green in sequence. For the BA1400T, BA2242T, BA2240T, BA2800T, BA3360T, BA4200T, BA5600T and BA6720T battery packs. The last segment of 5-LED indicator on the battery pack will flash green. The fan in the charger works continuously to cool the charger.
- When the battery pack is 80% charged, LED Indicator 1 stops flashing and remains green while LED Indicator 2 starts flashing green.
- When the battery pack is fully charged, both LED indicators on the charger remain green, and the power indicator on the battery pack goes out. Wait for the cooling air fan to stop, remove the battery pack from the charger and disconnect the charger from the power supply.
NOTICE:
- A significant reduction in the running time of a fullycharged battery pack indicates the battery’s life is coming to an end and that the battery pack must be replaced.
- The charger may get warm during charging, which is normal. Charge your battery pack in a well-ventilated area.
