burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD
Fans have arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near combustible
materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. To prevent a
possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not

To start fan oscillation, pull left side pull-string while operating at
any fan speed. To stop oscillation function simply pull oscillation pull-
string again to discontinue oscillation while operating the fan at any speed.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have a Comfort Zone CZ6C 6-inch Quiet Portable Indoor Desk Fan. The fan is making a high-pitched squealing sound. What should I do?
This is a common problem with the motor of this model. The fan is designed to be used in a vertical position, but if the fan is tilted back too far, it will start to squeal. To fix this problem, you need to remove the cover of the fan and then tilt the fan back slightly so that it is still vertical but not as vertical as before.
I have a Comfort Zone CZ6C 6-inch Quiet Portable Indoor Desk Fan. The fan does not oscillate. What should I do?
This model does not have an oscillation feature; however, you can get an oscillating feature by purchasing a different model of Comfort Zone fans.
I have a Comfort Zone CZ6C 6-inch Quiet Portable Indoor Desk Fan. What kind of safety grills are on this model?
This model has all metal safety grills that are made out of metal and plastic materials. The grills are located on the front, top, and bottom of the fan.
Has the wattage been specified? I’m trying to find a tent fan that I can plug into a car converter.
Although it’s probably too late, a computer case fan is 12v and may be rigged to operate directly from a cigarette lighter outlet in a car. Before you would draw even close to what a 110v fan will draw, you could connect quite a few.
The fan is quite noisy?
Since there are two options, the high level is definitely louder than the low setting, but I don’t think either setting is excessively loud. These fans are on when both of my kids are sleeping, and neither of them complains about the noise.
If used in a humid atmosphere, is it waterproof?
I put it on a rack with seedlings and microgreens. Twice daily, I spray and hydrate the area. It’s not outside, but I don’t think the humidity is a problem. I don’t believe I would leave it somewhere where it will get wet during a downpour. I purchased two of these tiny fans, and I adore them.
Could I attach this to a shower rod in some way?
Yes, you can, but the shower rod is not very stable with it!
What is the chord’s length?
It may be too long, but I’m not sure. Don’t buy it though; it’s defective, constantly produces obnoxious noises, and while running, the blade hits the grid.
Is there a switch for on and off? Where is it located if so?
Yes, there are two speeds and an off button. On the back, next to the motor, is where you’ll find the switch.
This fan oscillates, right?
Mine doesn’t; it just has high or low speeds, and while you may manually fix the location of the fan head, it doesn’t oscillate.
It makes a lot of noise, right?
No, there is not much noise produced by these fans. They operate softly, in my opinion. There may be some noise from a faint humming or vibration, which is typical of any running motor, depending on what you clip them into. There is no sound other than the air the fan is moving. Eight months and counting later, I still have two of these fans running continuously, and they are in perfect condition.
I needed wind, not light; can you give me some of that?
Yes, you will have air movement with this. But remember to clean the fan as well. Less air will circulate if it becomes too unclean with dust and other debris.
Does the front detach for cleaning purposes?
Yes, I recently removed the front screen and used a computer air can to clean the blade and housing, and the fan-produced more wind and functioned faster.
