Intended use

The product is intended to provide a magnified view of objects. 60 SMD LEDs are mounted below the lens, which are used to illuminate the objects under consideration. The product must be attached to a suitable surface (e.g. table, workbench). Power is supplied via a standard household mains socket.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating instructions.

Safety information

Read the operating instructions carefully and observe in particular the safety
instructions. If you do not follow the safety information and information on proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.

  • This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
  • Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
  • Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
  • If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    • is visibly damaged,
    • is no longer working properly,
    • has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
    • has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
  • Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage the product.
  • Always cover the lens with the hinged lid when not in use. Otherwise there is a risk of fire during direct sunlight since the lens acts like a burning glass.
  • Do not touch the lens with your fingers (especially finger nails) or sharp/pointed  objects.
  • Never use the magnifying glass to look directly at bright sources of light. This may cause eye damage.
  • Attention, LED light:
    • Do not look directly into the LED light.
    • Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
  • Never aim the light beam at mirrors or other reflective surfaces.
  • Do not point the light beam directly at people or animals. This can lead to eye or skin injuries.
  • If possible, guide the light beam so that it is not at eye level.
  • Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
  • The mains socket must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
  • Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on the plug.
  • Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not plan to use the product for an extended period of time.
  • For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
  • Ensure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or subjected to mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Failure to adhere to these instructions may lead to damage of the mains cable. A damaged mains cable can cause a fatal electric shock.
  • Do not touch the power cord if there are any signs of damage. Power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker), and then carefully unplug the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the power cord is damaged.
  • Damaged mains cables must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized repair center or a qualified electrician.
  • Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
  • Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into to a warm one. This may cause condensation to form, which can destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it into use. This may take several hours.
  • Never pour liquids onto or next to the product. There is the risk of an electrical shock.
  • Only attach the clamp bracket to a horizontal, level, stable surface.
  • Do not secure any objects (e.g. decorations) to the product.
  • Never install the product in the vicinity of flammable materials (e.g. curtains or decorative material). Ensure that there are no drafts which may cause other objects (e.g. curtains) to come into contact with or into the vicinity of the lamp. This constitutes a fire hazard!
  • Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment when using the product in industrial facilities.
  • Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have concerns about safety.
  • Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a specialist repair centre.
  • If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Installation
  • Attach the clamp bracket to a suitable surface (e.g. table, work bench).
  • Tighten the screw clamp until the clamp holder is firmly seated and cannot be moved any more.
  • Insert the foot of the magnifier lamp into the clamp bracket.
  • Fasten the lamp head with the wing screw after you have set it in the desired position.
Operation
  • Connect the mains plug to a standard mains socket.
  • Fold the stand upwards.
  • Switch the product on (On/Off switch to position I).
  • After use, switch the product off (on/off switch in position O) and fold down the cover.

Care and cleaning

General information
  • Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
  • This product does not require any maintenance. Never attempt to dismantle it. Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an authorized repair shop.
  • Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
  • To prevent scratch marks, do not press too strongly on the surface of the solar module when cleaning.
  • The LEDs are built into the product and cannot be replaced.
Lens

The images are for reference only.

  • Loosen the handgrip by turning it anticlockwise.
  • Remove the bayonet lock.
  • Remove the lens.
  • Use a lens or lens cleaning cloth to clean the lens. Alternatively, use a dry, clean, soft and lint-free cloth or a dust brush. If the binoculars are very dirty, the cloth can be dampened slightly with lukewarm water.
  • If you use a detergent to clean the binoculars, ensure that you do not apply it directly to the lenses. Always apply the detergent to the cleaning cloth first.
  • Reinsert the lighting unit once you have finished decorating the solar glass. Turn the cap clockwise to secure the connection. The latch must audibly snap into place.
