Raising Aid Quick
General Information
Thank you for choosing a Petermann product.
Please read the user manual carefully before using the product for the first
time!
The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that
people in nursing professions experience significant work-related physical
strain. Back injuries are common. There are many situations in which a patient
has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, ambulance stretcher, an
X-Ray table or a wheelchair to a different stretcher or seat. The strain on
the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly through
the use of sliding mats.
The use of transfer aids should be conditional upon the user having learned to
use the equipment properly. The user has to decide for themselves what
equipment is suitable to the patient’s situation and the intended sequence of
movements.
Raising Aid Quick is part of a product range with a wide range of possible
applications. This product is used in particular when raising and/or
transferring patients in hospitals and other health care facilities as well
as home care settings.
The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified
conditions.
The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being
transferred and moved, as well as the user performing the transfer / position
change. Contact us if you require additional information or assistance using
the Petermann product.
The raising aid is a safe transfer aid, which allows for a transfer in the bed
or from the bed to the wheelchair which is pleasant and comfortable for the
patient as well as being simple and back-friendly for the user.

Ensure that the product is in sound condition and that the material and the seams are not damaged. Check the product functionality by applying pressure to the handles and ensure that the material withstands the load. The rough surface of the anti-slip material prevents slipping. Check these properties – ideally in comparison to a new product.

3.6 Application
The Raising Aid Quick is used to help move the patient in the bed or to
transfer the patient from the bed to the wheelchair. The Raising Aid Quick is
a universal aid with many potential applications. In combination with the
sliding board, it is a reliable aid for transferring the patient e.g. into the
wheelchair.
The Raising Aids Quick provide support on the patient’s back. This application
ensures that the patient leans forward in a physiological manner. With
conventional application methods, little attention is paid to leaning forward
