ECONOMY SWITCH (FIG. A, B, C)

HYUNDAI-55011-Inverter-Gasoline-Generator-FIG1 HYUNDAI-55011-Inverter-Gasoline-Generator-FIG2

The economy switch (10) ensures lower fuel consumption. With the economy switch switched on, the motor runs slowly when the connected device is disconnected and automatically returns to the correct speed when the electrical device is reconnected. Disable the economy function when using the DC connection and when using DC and AC simultaneously. With the economy switch in the OFF position, the motor rotates at high speed.

Hour meter (fig. A, B)
The voltage> frequency> speed> total operating time is displayed in succession on the hour meter (11). If the overload indicator (13) illuminates red, the output of the generator can be reactivated with the RESET button (11a) without restarting the motor.

  • Press and hold the RESET button for 1 second until the overload indicator turns off and the output indicator (12) turns green.

After pressing the RESET button 5 times, the motor must be restarted.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Fill with oil (fig. D)
Use 4-stroke motor oil. SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general, all-temperature use. Other viscosities may be used when the average temperature is within the indicated range.

  1. Remove the dipstick (19) from the filling point.
  2. Fill the crankcase with the prescribed amount of oil.
  3. Replace the dipstick.

Fill with fuel (fig. F)
Always use fuel that fulfils the following specifications: unleaded petrol, octane content at least 87.

WARNING

Never add fuel when the machine is on. After use let the machine cool down for at least 15 minutes before refuelling. Never smoke near the machine or the fuel. Never add fuel in the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.

  1. Remove the lid (3) from the filler opening.
  2. Pour the fuel carefully into the filler opening. Do not fill the tank beyond the marking.
  3. Place the lid back on the filler opening.

USE

The generator must be earthed before use. This prevents static charges that can lead to electric shock. Safety devices from the connected electrical appliances can also do their work (e.g. leakage current switches). Connect a screened conductor (minimum cross-section 1.5 mm²) to the earth connector (18) and attach the other end to a ground point (e.g. radiator or water pipe).

WARNING

Disconnect all connected devices before starting the engine. For the first use, refilling the tank or after prolonged storage, the ignition switch must first be turned to the ON position for 10 to 20 seconds and then pull the starter cord 10-20 times to fill the carburetor with fuel.

  1. Turn the fuel cap vent lever (2) to the ON position.
During transport of the machine, the fuel cap vent lever must be in the OFF position..

  2. Turn the key of the ignition switch (6) to the ON position.

  3. Slide (55010) or pull (55011) the choke lever to the CLOSED position.
Do not move the choke lever to the CLOSED position when the engine is hot or in a high ambient temperature.

  4. Gently pull the starter cord (5) until you feel resistance.

  5. Give a strong pull to the starter cord. Repeat as necessary until the engine starts.

Switch off

Disconnect all connected devices.

  1. Turn the ignition switch (6) to the OFF position.
  2. Turn the fuel cap vent lever (2) to the OFF position.

Modification to the carburetor when used at high altitude
When used at high altitudes, the standard air-fuel mixture may be too rich. Performance will decrease and fuel consumption will increase. A very rich mixture will also pollute the spark plug and cause a hard start. If the generator is used at high altitudes, the main nozzle must be replaced or the idle screw must be adjusted. If the generator is always used at high altitudes, the carburetor must be adjusted. Please contact your purchase address.

WARNING

If the carburetor has been modified for high altitude use, the air-fuel mixture will be too low for use at low altitudes, causing the engine to overheat and become severely damaged. The carburetor must first be returned to its original state.

Alternating current can be used simultaneously with direct current. If both are used at the same time, the total power for AC and DC must not be exceeded: AC: 0.9 kVA, DC: 5 A. Most engines require more than their nominal power when starting.
Output and overload indicator (fig. A, B, J)
During normal operation, the output indicator (12) lights up green. If the generator is overloaded (more than 0.9 kVA). or the connected device causes a short circuit, the green indicator turns off and the red overload indicator (13) lights up. The alternating current is switched off, but the motor continues to run.

Oil alarm system (fig. A, B)
The oil alarm system is designed to prevent damage to the engine due to low oil level. The engine is automatically shut down as soon as the oil level becomes too low.

  • The oil alarm indicator (14) lights up red.
  • Check the oil level when the engine stops and does not restart.
