- This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify this device.
INTRODUCTION
This 4K HDMI® Extender Over Ethernet allows you to extend an HDMI signal over a single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K@30Hz with YCbCr 4:4:4, including 1080p@60Hz with YCbCr 4:4:4. It can extend 4K signals to distances up to 164 feet (50 meters) and 1080p signals to distances up to 229 feet (70 meters). It is fully compliant with the HDMI 1.4 and HDCP™ 1.4 specifications and features smart EDID® management.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Transmitter
- HDMI OUT: HDMI® loop-out port for connecting a local display.
- HDMI IN: HDMI port for connecting a video source device.
- EDID: Momentarily press the EDID button on the transmitter to get the EDID from the display connected to the receiver. Press and hold the EDID button for 3 seconds to get the EDID from the display connected to the transmitter’s loop-out port. If no display is connected to the transmitter’s loop-out port, it will get the internal EDID of 1080p video with stereo audio instead.
- DC 5V: Micro USB port for connecting the included AC power adapter.
- OUT: RJ45 Ethernet jack for a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable (available separately) to connect to the receiver.
- IR IN: 3.5mm jack for connecting an IR receiver to allow for control of the display device connected to the receiver.
- IR OUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting an IR transmitter to allow for control of the video source device from the remote location.
Receiver
- IN: RJ45 Ethernet jack for connecting a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable (available separately) to connect to the transmitter.
- IR IN: 3.5mm jack for connecting an IR receiver to allow for control of the video source device connected to the transmitter.
- IR OUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting an IR transmitter to allow for control of the display from the transmitter location.
- HDMI OUT: HDMI® port for connecting the remote display.

EDID MANAGEMENT
The EDID® system tells the source device the maximum capabilities of any
connected display(s). You can set the EDID to the capabilities of the display
connected to the receiver, a display connected to the transmitter’s loop-out
port, or a default of 1080p with stereo audio, if no display is connected to
the transmitter. Perform one of the following steps to set the EDID.
- Momentarily press the EDID button on the transmitter to get the EDID from the display connected to the receiver.
- Press and hold the EDID button for 3 seconds to get the EDID from the display connected to the transmitter’s loop-out port. If no display is connected to the transmitter’s loop-out port, it will get the internal EDID of 1080p video with stereo audio instead.
