Overview

Fantech R l Racing Wheel is designed to support PC, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, XBOX SERIES S & X, and SWITCH. Fantech Rl Racing Wheel is designed to match the actual shape of a steering wheel, with built-in dual-motor vibration, and also includes an H-shifter and three pedals, which lets you enjoy the feel of a real racing experience.

Function Introduction

Program Functions (with memory)

1. Introduction:

   • Program source keys: □/1/X/Y, o/3/B/A, 6/4/Y/X, X/2/A/B, Ll/5/LB/L, L2/7/ LT/ZL, Rl /6/RB/R,R2/8/RT/ZR.,
   • Programmable keys: left-wing (L2/7 /LBJ, right-wing (R2/8/RB), foot clutch, foot refueling (X/2/Y+), foot brake (□/1 /Y-), L3/l l /SL, R3/l 2/SR, Row Rail.

2. Programming setting:

   • Press the ‘!’ROG” button for 2 seconds, and wait for the mode LED to flash quickly.
   • Press the button you wish to reprogram once. and wait for the mode LED to flash slowly.
   • Press the button which you wish to set onto the previous button. and then the mode LED will stay an, indicating that the button has been set.
     Note: As the programming is memory-based, all programming settings will still be retained after the steering wheel is turned off.

3. Programming Clear:

   • Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result in the mode LED flashing quickly ..
   • Press the programmed key once. which will result in the mode LED flashing slowly.
   • Press the programmed key again, the red LED is on, and the programming will be cleared.

4. Program Clear All:

   • Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result in the mode LED flashing.
   • Press and hold the OPTIONS/MENU key for 4 seconds, which results with the LED being lit with a solid color, then all programmed functions will be cleared, and the sensitivity will return to the initial default state (low on PC, medium on other platforms).

5. Program Exit:

   • Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result with the LED flashing, and then press the “PROG” key again to exit, which means the previous data will remain unchanged.
   • Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result in the red LED flashing.
     At this time if there is no action, the wheel will automatically exit from the programming mode.

Sensitivity settings

• Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result with the LED flashing.

• Press the left or right arrow button on the D-pad once, then the sensitivity will be set to medium. As a result, the red LED will be solid to indicate the setting is successful.

• Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result with the LED flashing.

• Press the up button on the D-pad once, then the sensitivity will be set to high. As a result. the red LED will be solid to indicate the setting is successful

• Press the “PROG” key for 2 seconds, which will result with the LED flashing.

• Press the down key of the D-pad once. then the sensitivity will be set to low.
  As a result. the red LED will be solid to indicate the setting is successful.

• Press and hold the OPTIONS/IQ/MENU/+ key for 4 seconds, the red LED will be solid. and all the programmed key functions will be cleared. The sensitivity will also return to the maximum.

Calibration:

• Press the “L 1 +L2+R I +R2” key at the same time, which will result with the LED flashing.

• Turn the direction of the wheel all the way to the left and the LED will flash slowly when it reaches the maximum; then turn the wheel right all the way to the right, and the LED will flash slowly slow when it reaches maximum.
  Then turn back to the center. and the LED will flash quickly.

• Then push down the right foot pedal, the middle foot pedal, the left foot pedal all the way to the bottom, when the pedal reach the bottom, the LED will flash slowly. and will flash quickly when you release the pedal.

• Lastly, when LED slowly flash, press the OPTIONS/MENU key, the LED will be lit up. and the calibration is complete.

Pedal Introduction

1. The foot pedal includes a clutch which can only be used in games with a clutch or manual transmission mode
2. The left pedal is the clutch, the middle pedal is the brake, and the right pedal is the gas.
3. If the game does not support the clutch function, the clutch pedal will not have any function or may function as a brake.
4. n games that support the clutch function, if the clutch is set and pressed, the vehicle will not move when pushing the gas or the brake pedal.

How lo use the H-Shlfter

1. Connect the 6+R gear shift lever, then the steering wheel will be locked in the steering wheel protocol mode, and will require a game to function.
2. The function of the LO-HI button on the right side of the gear shift lever is to switch between high and low gears. For example, when the gear starts from the low gear of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, short press the switch, the gear will be changed to the high gear of 7. 8, 9. 10. 11. and 12. and the gear indicator LED will stay on at the same time. Short press the switch again to switch to the low gears. and the gear indicator LED will tum off at the same time.
3. The function of switching between high and low gears needs to be supported by the game. (Currently only truck games support this feature).
4. The “®” button on the left side of the gear shift lever is the handbrake function. Press and hold this button to start the handbrake state and release it to release the handbrake state. (Requires a supported game or needs to be set in the in-game settings.)

How to Use on PS3:

1. Connect the foot pedal to the steering wheel, then turn on the PS3, and connect the steering wheel USB to the PS3.
2. After the startup sequence is completed, the steering wheel mode indicator will be lit and the PS3 will automatically connect with the wheel. You can enter the console to start playing or set up the relevant features of the console.
3. Once connected, press HOME button on the steering wheel to enter the PS3 menu setting interface once, which can display the current controller player, and press HOME button for 2 seconds to enter the shutdown setting interface.

How to Use on PS4:

1. Insert the matching foot pedal cable into the corresponding interface of the steering wheel and insert the original PS4 controller into the marked USB port on rear of the steering wheel base (the controller should be turned off].
2.  Power on the PS4 and turn it on, insert the steering wheel cable into the USB port of the PS4.
3. After the connection is completed, the blue light on the steering wheel will stay on, and the indicator light on the PS4 controller will also stay on. After the guidance is successful, the indicator light on the PS4 controller will light up, and then you can enter the console to start the game or set the relevant functions of PS4.
4. During the operation of the PS4. short press the “HOME” button on the steering wheel once to return to the HOME interface. and long press for 1 second to go to the shutdown setting interface.
5.  After the gear shift lever is connected, it will be automatically converted and locked to steering wheel mode. The gear shift lever function requires to be used in a supported game. Otherwise, the gear lever will not function. And this mode has no vibration function in the game.

How to use on XBOX 360:

1. Insert the matching foot pedal cable into the corresponding interface on the steering wheel then insert the XBOX 360 original controller USB cable into the marked USB port on the steering wheel (the controller should be turned off).

2. Power on the XBOX360 console and plug the main steering wheel into the XBOX360.

3. After connecting, the red LED on the steering wheel will be bright. Next, press HOME button on the steering wheel. After the boot is successful, the indicator
   light on the XBOX360 controller will light up, at this time you can enjoy your favorite games on the XBOX 360.

4.  On XBOX 360, a short press of the HOME button on the steering wheel can return to the main interface, and hold for 2 second can go to the shutdown setting interface.

How to use on XBOX One:

1. Insert the matching foot pedal cable into the corresponding interface of the steering wheel and insert the original XBOX ONE controller into the marked USB port on the rear of the steering wheel. (the controller should be turned oft).

2. Power on the XBOX ONE, insert the steering wheel cable into the USB port of the XBOX ONE.

3. After the connection is completed, the green light on the steering wheel will stays o, and the indicator light on the XBOX ONE controller will also stay on, then you can enter the console to start the game or set the relevant functions of the XBOX ONE.

4. During the operation of the XBOX ONE, short press the “HOME” button on the steering wheel (equivalent to the navigation button of the original controller)
   to return to the HOME interface, and long press the HOME button for 1 second to go to the shutdown setting interface.

5. On the HOME interface, press the Y key on the steering wheel once to enter the quick search page.

6. After the gear shift lever is connected, it will automatically switch and lock to steering wheel mode, which requires a supported game to function.

7. While gaming on the XBOX ONE. press i:!J button to share screenshots as well.

How to Use on PC:
X-INPUT Mode (Only When H-Shifter Is Not Connected):

• Automatically enters X-lnput Mode upon powering on. indicated by the Red LED.
•  Hold down the HOME button for 3 seconds, then the LED will flash 3 times. indicating the switch to D-INPUT mode. Then press HOME for 3 seconds and which then switches to X-INPUT mode, so the cycle is repeated.

D-INPUT Mode, installer:

•  For D-lnput Mode, please use the included disc or download the driver from our website

• Next, plug the steering wheel USB into the computer, then Start Control Panel ”Devices and Printers’1 , right-click on the device Game Controller Settings property.
  Note: Depending on the system, the installation path and method will be different, subject to computer prompts.

• Driver Name: Fantech R 1 Racing Wheel.

Calibration:

• Enter the test interface and perform functional tests on the keys and steering wheel respectively.

• Adjust the rotation through as you see fit .

• Press the foot pedals to test vibration.
  How to Use on Nintendo Switch

• Plug the steering wheel USB into the Nintendo Switch USB Port (on the dock) or via a type-c breakout cable

• After successful connection. the red indicator light on the steering wheel will be lit and a channel will be automatically assigned to the steering wheel.
  Then, you can enjoy your favorite games.

• Short press the “SHARE/9/VIEW/-” and “OPTIONS/I 0/MENU/+” keys at the same time, which is the screenshot function. Action mode switching When connecting
  a PC with WINDOWS WIN I 0/8/7. it automatically switches to PC Xinput mode [pressing capture+home key at the same time when connecting USB does not switch to PC mode

Troubleshooting

I. The mode light does not light up When the steering wheel is plugged into the console, please re-plug it or check whether the controller can work normally.
2. When the steering wheel does not respond and the console screen does not move. the console may crash unexpectedly, please restart the console.
3. When the steering wheel is not operated properly in the game, please reconnect the steering wheel. Pay attention when you unplug the gear shift lever and reinsert it, you need to exit the game and re-enter. The gear shift lever function is only supported in games that support steering wheel mode.
4. When connecting the controller, the controller must be turned off, to prevent the controller from being connected to the host and lead to unsuccessful
guidance.
5. Because the programming function has memory, if you feel that the key position is wrong, please clear it according to the “Program Function -Program Clear Section”.
6. If the direction or foot pedal is not in place or does not return, please
correct it according to the following methods:
Press the “LI +L2+Rl +R2” buttons at the same time, and which will result in the LED blinking fast.
Gently turn the wheel to the left and continue until the wheel reaches the maximum position. The LED indicator will flash twice per second to indicate this has completed.
– Gently turn the wheel to the right and continue until the wheel reaches the maximum position. The LED indicator will flash tree times per second to indicate this has completed.
– Push the right foot pedal to the maximum position and the LED indicator will flash 4 times per second to indicate this has completed.

Precautions

1. Please read the instructions fully before use.
2. Avoid dropping or otherwise damaging the wheel.
3. Do not disassemble or modify or repair the wheel by yourself.
4. Avoid storing in wet areas, or areas with high temperatures.
