Product Description

The device moves a vave to intelligently control the flow of heat to the radiator. With the Thermostat Radiator Valve TV01 you can conveniently adjust the room temperature between 5-30 , and save more than 15% of energy. The device is part of the Tesla Smart system and works with the ZigBee 3.0 protocol. All devices on the system can be configured comfortably and individually with the Testa smartphone app. The temperature can be controlled individually, room by room.
The radiator thermostat fits to all comma) radiator valves and is easy to mount-without having to drain any water or intervene in the heating system. The addrtiona boost function enables the radiator to be heated up cpckly for a brief period of time by opening the valve for 5 minutes. There will be a pleasant room temperature right away because of the radiated heat.

Start-up

4.1 Before we get started

  • 2 x 4A battenes are required for TRV t work, please get prepared.
  • A smart gateway hub is required for the TRV to work.
  • Temperature is shown in deqrees Celsius. 4.2 Inserlingirep lacing} batteries
  • Pull off the battery compartment cover on the underside of the device.
  • Ingert 2 new LR6(44) batienes in the battery campartn- ent, making sure they are the nght way round.
  • Reattach the battery compartment cover and latch i into place.

The sence life of new alkaline battenes is aporamatety 1.5 years. A battery symbol(hAt yp) on the display indicates that the battenes need to be replaced. After removing the emply baltenes, wait approx. 1 minute before inserting the new ones. This device does not support operation with rechargeable battenes.
43 Set date and time
If battenes ane inserted of repleced, the date and time is Sutomabically requested after a bref dismay of the firnwvare version number.

  • Set the year,month,day, hour and roinute with the +/- button, and confirm with Menu button. ‘You can press the Boost button to retum to the previous menu dunng the setting of date and time.

If the adapting runs is initiated before installation, press Boost: button and the motor travels lback to the ‘ I EIS ‘ position. Ir an error message(F1,F2,F3) is dis_playedll press the PatEkedost button and the motor similarly irats back to The inS position..

Installation of the radiator thermostat

The radiator Thermostat is easy to install and can be done without drainir heatna ‘outer or intervening in the heeling system No special tools are required, nor does the heading have to be switched off The ring nut attached to the radiator thermostat can be used universally and vdtthout accessories for all vaves with a thread size of MM) 1_5 from the most popular manufacturers such as:

When you see the LCD screen is showing inforniatiun as below, the radiator thermostat cs ready for configuration. If not: p ease uninstall and re-instal the batteries and retort step 4.

APP Operation

Preparation for use

  • Tim Smart is available for both OS and :Android OS Search the name ,Tesla Smart in App Store or in Google Play or scan the OR code to download ithe App and register or ‘login your account
  • Make sure that the smartphore is connected to the 24Ghz network and have Eluetooth & GPS locatcc turned on_ Connect. the device
  • Make sure you have added Tesla Smart ZigBee Hub to your Tesla Smart app –
  • Tesla Smart Thiffmostatic Valve must be installed on the heating valve in ‘circler to pair with Testa Smart app ZigBee Hub
  • Open Testa Smart app and click on ZigBee Hub and then dick on Add new device” (check that the blue LED light on hub is Linking during pairing mode) or n Tesla Smart app dick.
  • sign to Add new device. Select Ihemlostatic Valves
  • Testa Smart Thenrostatic Valve and fialf.cis: the instructions to add the thermostatic valve step by  steps on your phone.
  • Press lair Boost” button for 5 seconds on thermostatic valve until the ZigBee signal icon flashes: !klitlitti means the device has entered the pairing mode.

Note: If Alexa is asked to increase the temperature by 2″0, then Alexa will add 24C to your set-point If the ambient temperature is already above the current set-point then the actual temperature will not change and smart radiator thermostat will not turn the heating ON.

9.1 Auto Mode
In automatic mode, the temperature is canto led in accordance with the set heating profile. Manual changes are activated unti the next point at which the profile changes Afterwards, the defined heating profile vin . be activated again. To activate the automatic mode, please proceed as foi lows:

  • Press the mode button to select icon.
  • Default temperature: 17tand 21*C.
  • Temperature range: 5-301C,sfep: 0.5’C.
  • App operation: Click the mode icon to select.

9.2 Manual Mode
In manual mode, the temperature s controlled in accordance with the current temperahre set via ‘412 button. The temperature rentals activated until the next manual change. To activate the manual mode, please proceed as folbas:
The device wil resume to its previous status after detection if no actions is implemented. Or you can manually resume the device by pressing the mode button. App operation: Click the open window icon in APP to cancel the window opening function. The open window detection only operates in automatic mode and manual mode.
9.5 Offset Temperature
As the temperature is measured on the radiator thermostat, the temperature distribution can vary throughout a room. To adjust this, a temperature offset of ±5 °C can be set. If a nominal temperature of e.g. 20 °C is set but the room presents with only 18 C, an offset of -2.0C needs to be set. An offset temperature of 0.0r is set in the settings. To adjust the offset temperature, please proceed as follows.

  • Long press the menu button for 5 seconds, it will enter the setting interface.
  • Select ‘Offset’ optical via ‘+/–‘ button, and press menu button to enter the offset temperature nterface.
  • Set the desired offset temperattre using ‘+/-‘ button and confirm with the menu button. App operation. C ick the offset icon in settings

9.6 Eco and Comfortable
Temperature The contort and eco temperature button makes switching between comfort and eco temperature simple and user friendly. These have been set at the factory at 21.0 °C (comfort temperature) and 17.0 °C (ern temperatire). They can be adjusted as follows:

  • Press menu button to select comfortable temperature(: ) or eco temperature( ).
  • App operation: aick the icon in APP to select.

Even Si auto mode, the temperature can be changed at any time using the button. It MI then remati the same until the next point S which the program charges.
9.7 Child Lock
Operation of the device can be locked to avoid settings being changed unintended(e.g. trough involuntary touch). To activate/deactivate the child lock, please proceed as follows:

  • Long press the mode button for 5 seconds, it will show LOC symbol on the screen and the device bitten cannot be used.
  • Long press the mode button for 5 seconds to unlock child lock App operaticn. Click the child lock icon in settings.

9.8 Anti-Freezing Mode The device operation:

  • In the manual mode, when the temperature is manually adjusted to less than 5 degrees, the screen will display “AP. and the anti-freezing function will be started to ensure that the indoor temperature is “8” degrees.
  • Press any button to cancel anti-freeing function and return to automatic mode. App operation:
  • Click the anti-freezing icon( )to tun Wort the function in settings.
    Note: Once this function is activated, other functions are not available unless the function is deactivated.

9.9 Heating stop (Power Saving) Mode
Battery life can be prolonged by switching the heating off. To achieve this, the valve is opened fully. To activate the heating stop, please proceed as follows:
The device operation:

  • In manual mode, manually adjust the temperature to more than 30 degrees, display “FIS”on the screen, start the heating stop function, and the device will no longer be able to adjust the temperature.
  • Press any button to cancel the heating stop function and return to automatic mode. App operation:
  • Click the Heating stop icon( Si $o turn oNoff the function in settings.
    Note: Once the function is activated, other functions are not available unless the function is deactivated.

9.10 Anti-Calcification
(Descaling) Protection The equipment wilt automatically run for a period of time every week to prevent calcification of the va ve.
9.11 Boost
The boost function makes use of human sensations of heat. When activated, the valve will be fully opened for 5 mutes. The heating of a room takes longer than 5 minutes but the heat given off by the radiator can be felt nimeciately.

  • Press the boost button to activate the boost function.
  • The remaining time fa the function veil be counted down in seconds(299′ to ‘000:).
  • After these 5 minutes have elapsed, the actuator changes to the mode which was previously active(autoimanual) with the previously set temperature.
  • The function can be deactivated at any time by pressing the boost button again. App operation: Click the icon( ) in app to cancel the boost function.

Setting

Press the menu button for 5 seconds ,enter Setting/Date/ Week programming stage/Open window/Comfortable temp /ECO temp/Offset/Holiday setting_ App operation: Click the settings icon( ) ) in mobile app.
10.1 Date
To set the date and time, please proceed as follows:

  • Log press the menu button for 5 seconds, it will enter the setting interface.
  • Select “Date/rime” option via ‘+/-‘ button, and Press menu button to enter the Date/lime setting ‘interface.
  • Select the desired year/mcnth/dawhatfminute using the “+/-” button and confirm with the menu button. To confirm. the time flashes three tines.
  • Use the boost button to return.

10.2 Week Programming
Stage In this menu item, you can create a heating profile with heating and cooling phases according to your personal needs. You can set up to ten stages of temperature every day. The factory default is five stages.

  • Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu.
  • Select ‘Prga using the ‘+/-‘ button and confirm with the menu button.
  • the menu item sdAy, use the”+/-‘ button to select single days of the week, all weekdays, the weekend or the entire week for your heating profile and confirm with the menu button
  • Cafirm the start time 00:00 pm with the menu button.
  • Select the desired temperature and start time using the “+/-‘ button and confirm with the menu button.
  • The next time is shown in the display. You can adjust the time via the ‘+/ button.
  • Select the desired temperature for the next time period using the ‘+/-* button and confirm with the menu button.
  • Temperature range: 5-30’C, step: 0.5t.
  • Repeat this procedure until temperatures are stored for the entire period between 0:00 and 24:00 h. To confirm, the time flashes tree times.
  • Use the boost button to return. App operation: Click the icon( ) r app.

10.3 Open Window Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu:

  • Select open window( )via the “4: button in the menu.
  • Confirm with the menu Dutton.
  • Select the desired temperature and time using the “+/-” button and confirm with the menu button. To confirm, the time flashes three times.
  • Temperature range: 5-30*C, step: 0.5’C.
  • Use the boost button to return.

10.4 Comfortable Temperature Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu_

  • (Select comfortable temperature icon ) via the ‘+/-‘ button in the menu.
  • Confirm with the menu button.
  • Select the desired temperature using the “+/-” button and confirm with the menu button. To confirm, the temperature flashes three times.
  • Temperature range: 5-30’C, step: 0.5-C.
  • Use the boost key to return. 10.5 ECO Temperature Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu_
  • (Select ECO temperature icon)( Or ) the a+/-1 button in the menu.
  • Confirm with the menu button.
  • Select the desired temperature using the “+/-* button and confirm with the menu button. To oonfimi, the temperature flashes three times.
  • Temperature range: 5-30’C. step: 0.5t.
  • Use the boost button to return.

10.6 Offset
Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu

  • (Select offset iccn)(0ffbt ) via the ’44 button in the menu.
  • Confimi with the menu button.
  • Select the desired temperature using the “:44-‘ button and confirm with the menu button. To confirm, the temperature flashes three times_
  • Temperature range: 5-30t, step: 0.1t
  • Use the boost button to return.

10.7 Holiday
Setting Press the menu button for 5 seconds to open the configuration menu.

  • (Select hobday mode iconx ) via the ’44- button in the menu. Confirm with the menu button.
  • Select the start date using the ‘+!-‘ button and confirm with the menu button.
  • Select the end date using the “4-/-‘ button and confirm with the menu button.
  • Select the desired temperatue using the Jr-/-1 button and confirm with the menu button. To confirm, the temperature flashes three
  • Temperature range: 5-30t. step: 0.5t.
  • Use the boost button to retum.
    Note: if there is no operation in the setting interface within one minute, the setting wil enat automatically.

Low Battery

When the battery power is less than 12%, the low power Prompt icon( [ will be displayed. Please replace the bathery as soon a3 possible, When the screen displays (DRE g)the device is not avadable.

Reset

The device operation: Press the “+” and “-” buttons for 5 seconds to enter the reset mode, and the screen will display “FAC”.

  • Press the menu button to confirm.
  • Press the boost button to exit. After the device runs reset, the data will not be saved, the device will automatically connect to the gateway.
