WARNING

DO NOT exceed lower of towing manufacturing rating (including in your vehicle owner’s manual) or specific amperage ratings stated on product.
ALWAYS read, understand and follow all warnings and instructions printed on tow vehicle’s battery.
ALWAYS wear safety glasses and use all safety precautions during installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED

Trim Panel Remover, Philips Head Screwdriver, 10mm Socket or wrench, Drill (3/32” Drill Bit), Wire Crimpers, Wire Cutters, Test-probe

  1. Open rear hatch. Folded down both rear seats and remove floor covering, cargo tray’s and threshold. Beginning careful to not damage and locking tabs or pins. A

  2. Using a 10mm socket remove retaining bolts both the driver’s & Passenger’s side trim panels. Remove the retaining screw from behind rear seat latch release lever on both the driver’s & passenger side. B

  3. Starting on the driver’s, pull back both the driver’s & passenger’s side side trim panel to expose the vehicles tail light wiring connector’s.

  4. Locate wiring connector’s matching T-One® Connector harness ends. Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from the driver’s & passengers side taillight assemblie’s being careful to not damage any locking tabs. C

  5. On the driver’s side, insert the T-One® Connector end, with the yellow wire, between the mating vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and be sure that connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.  C

  6. On the Driver’s side, mount the T-One® Connector black box using the double-sided tape provided.
    Secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness with the cable ties provided, to prevent damage or rattling and being careful to avoid any areas that would cut or pinch the wire.

  7. Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box such as an existing ground stud or drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the eyelet and screw provided. Clean dirt and rustproofing from area.
    CAUTION
    Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury.
    Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

  8. Route the T-One® Connector end with green wire along the threshold and behind the passenger’s side trim panel to the taillight pocket area.

  9. On the passenger’s side there are two sets of wiring connectors. Disconnect the connector housings with the red tape on the wire coverings. The connector housings should match T-One® Connector ends. D

    WARNING
    Never connect, disconnect or cut into or attached any power wire or device to the high power orange  line, cables or connectors. Serous injury can result.

  10. On the passenger’s side, insert the T-One® Connector end, with the green wire, between the mating vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place.
    Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and be sure that connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. D

  11. In the Cargo area. Connect the end of the black 12 ga. wire to the black power wire located on the T-One® Connector black box, using the yellow butt connector (provided in the hardware kit).

  12. Starting on the driver’s side in the rear cargo area.
    Begin routing the black 12 ga. wire forward through the interior of the vehicle, behind the driver’s side rear trim panels, sill plate, side panels and up under the driver’s side of the dash board.

  13. Locate an existing grommet in the fire wall under the dash board. Carefully slit the grommet and route the black 12 ga. Wire into the front trunk compartment.
    WARNING
    If routing the wire thru a grommet and along the exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

  14. Under the Hood locate front trunk compartment.
    Open the front trunk storage compartment cover and remove panel over the battery and set aside. E

  15. Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable. If not removed, remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided). After cutting the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal and secure to the vehicle’s Positive (+) battery cable. Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. wire, using the yellow butt connector (provided). F

  16. Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable and install the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder from step 14.
    WARNING
    Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery. All connections must be complete for the T-One® Connector to function properly. Test and verify installation with a test light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

  17. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, floor covering and other items that may have been removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
    NOTE
    Store 4-Flat connector in rear cargo area when not in use.
