To prevent SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH, or PROPERTY DAMAGE:

  • ALWAYS read and follow all warnings and instructions included with purchase before beginning installation. Keep for future reference.
  • DO NOT exceed lower of towing manufacturing rating (including in your vehicle owner’s manual) or specific amperage ratings stated on product.
  • ALWAYS read, understand and follow all warnings and instructions printed on tow vehicle’s battery.
  • ALWAYS wear safety glasses and use all safety precautions during installation.

WARNING

  • Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery. All connections must be complete for T-One® Connector to function properly. Test and verify installation with a test light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

WARNING

  • DO NOT touch negative battery terminal to positive battery terminal.
    Serious Injury and damage to Vehicle’s electrical system can occur.

  • If vehicle is equipped with the Start/Stop option, DO NOT connect the module power wire to the support battery. Only connect module to the main vehicle battery. Failure to connect to the vehicle main battery may result in damage.

  • DO NOT exceed stated product ratings.

WARNING

  • Ensure all existing grounds connections are still attached. Torque Existing ground screw to manufacture Torque Specifications.

LIMITED 1-YEAR WARRANTY

  1. Limited Warranty. Horizon Global (“We” or “Us”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser only (“You”) that the product will be free from material defects in both material and workmanship for a specific period, ordinary wear and tear excepted; provided that installation and use of the product is in accordance with product instructions. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. If the product does not comply with this period specific limited warranty, Your sole and exclusive remedy is that We will replace the product without charge to You and within a reasonable time or, at our option, refund the purchase price. This warranty is not transferable.
  2. Limitations on the Warranty. This limited warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear; (b) damage through abuse, neglect, misuse, or as a result of any accident or in any other manner; (c) damage from misapplication, overloading, or improper installation, including welds; (d) improper maintenance and repair; and (e) product alteration in any manner by anyone other than Us, with the sole exception of alterations made pursuant to product instructions and in a workmanlike manner.
  3. Obligations of Purchaser. To make a warranty claim, contact Us, at our principal address of 127 Public Square Suite 5300, Cleveland, OH 44114, 1-800-632-3290, identify the product by model number, and follow the claim instructions that will be provided. Any returned product that is replaced or refunded by Us becomes our property. You will be responsible for return shipping costs. Please retain your purchase receipt to verify date of purchase and that You are the original consumer purchaser. The product and the purchase receipt must be provided to Us in order to process Your warranty claim.
  4. Remedy Limits. Repair or replacement is Your sole remedy under this limited warranty, or any other warranty related to the product. We shall not be liable for service or labor charges incurred in removing or replacing a product or any incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
  5. Assumption of Risk. You acknowledge and agree that any use of the product for any purpose other than the specified use(s) stated in the product instructions is at Your own risk.
  6. Governing Law. This limited warranty gives You specific legal rights, and You also may have other rights which vary from state to state. This limited warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to rules pertaining to conflicts of law.   • Locate Vehicle’s Battery. Disconnect and isolate the Vehicle’s Negative battery Cable

Installation Instructions

PART NUMBER: 118888

  1. Open the rear hatch and remove rear bumper fascia. Be careful not to break any locking tabs.

  2. Locate the taillights mounting screws. Remove the mounting screws on both driver’s and passenger’s taillights, being careful not to break the mounting tabs.

  3. Starting on the driver’s side, locate the taillight’s wiring connectors from the drivers’ & passenger’s side. Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both taillights sockets. Being careful not to break the locking tabs, set taillights aside.

  4. Onthe driver’s side and underneath the vehicle, route the harness containing the yellow wire up through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body to the driver’s side taillight pocket.
    Note: For ease of installation use a fish wire between taillight pocket and rear fascia to pull harness from underneath vehicle out through the taillight pocket.

  5. Locate the connectors matching the end of the T-One® Connector. Insert the T-One® Connector end containing the yellow wire in between the vehicle and taillight connector. All connector’s surfaces should be clean and free of dirt. Be careful not to break any locking tabs.

  6. Onthe driver’s side, determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia. Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the double-sided tape provided.
    Note: Clean flat mount surface area using a S0-50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water to mount lighting module black box.
    CAUTION Make sure lighting module is mounted so that the wire side of the module is pointed towards the ground to prevent any water buildup.

  7. Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box such as an existing ground stud or drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the eyelet and screw provided. (Do not drill into vehicle floor or bed.) Clean dirt and rustproofing from area.
    CAUTION Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

  8. Route harness containing the green wire along the bumper underneath the vehicle up through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body to the passenger’s side taillight pocket.
    Note: For ease of installation use a fish wire between taillight pocket and rear fascia to pull harness from underneath vehicle out through the taillight pocket.
    WARNING |f routing the wire thru a grommet and along the exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

  9. On The passengers’ side taillights pocket. Locate the connector matching the end of the T-One ® Connector. Insert the T-One © Connector end containing the green wire in between the vehicle and taillights connectors. All connector’s surfaces should be clean and free of dirt. Be careful not to break any locking tabs.

  10. Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable. If not removed, remove the fuse from the fuse holder (provided).
    Note : For Hybrid model the vehicle’s battery is located beneath spare tire in the trunk.

  11. After cutting the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal to one end, and using the yellow Heat Shrinkable butt connector (provided) attach the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. Wire. Secure ring terminal to the vehicle’s Positive (+) battery cable.

  12. Beginning from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12 ga. Wire rearward along the frame rail avoiding any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.
    WARNING If routing the wire thru a grommet and along the exterior of the vehicle, be careful to avoid any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

  13. Connect the other end of the black 12 ga. Wire to the black power wire located on the T-One ® Connectors’ black box, using the yellow heat shrinkable butt connector (provided).

  14. Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable and install the 1S-amp fuse into the fuse holder from step 9.
    WARNING Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery. All connections must be complete for the T-One * Connector to function properly. Test and verify installation with a test light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

  15. Reinstall any other items that may have been removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
    Note: Route the 4-Flat harness through the driver’s side panel and threshold into the storage compartment; store there when not in use.
    WARNING Overloading circuits can cause fires. DO NOT exceed stated product ratings. Read vehicle’s owner’s manual & instruction sheet for additional information.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

4-Way not Functioning| Ensure T-One Connector ends are fully inserted and locked in place. Remove module’s power fuse for 10 seconds and repeat test.| Check chassis grounds. Ensure ring terminals are in full contact with vehicle chassis. Remove module’s power fuse.

No Power to 4-Way| Installation may have activated circuit protection. Start Vehicle and turn all functions off: Tail (head lights), Brake and Turns. Remove Module power fuse for 10 seconds and repeat test.| Ensure fuse is fully inserted into fuse holder. Fuse should have no breaks. Fuse holder connected properly to positive post of battery. Remove fuse for 10 seconds and repeat test. Ensure module is connected to B+. Using a tester or voltmeter check for voltage on either side of the yellow butt connector near the module. Remove module power fuse for 10 seconds and repeat test.

Routine Maintenance and General Inspection

Pre-trip inspection of 4-Way Flat Harness to insure no damage to terminals
and connection points for proper lighting connection and operation.| Clean 4-Way Flat Connector after each use.

Clean connection and add Dielectric grease (sold Separately) to the terminal
pins.| Insure 4-Way Flat harness doesn’t Get pinched in Door latches, trailer
connection points or allow contact with road surface.
