Handling and operation

Wirelessly charging a mobile phone
CAUTION

  • Operate the charging pad only in dry interior rooms.
  • Due to the high power consumption, a USB mains adapter must be used to operate the charging pad. Do not use the charging pad on a USB port of a PC or notebook.
  • Use only USB mains adapters with a suitable output voltage and output current for the charging pad (see section Technical data). The charging power depends on the
  • USB mains adapter used. A maximum of 2×10 W is possible. Remove the connection cable 6 after you have finished charging.
  • Connect the USB-A plug on the connection cable 6 to a suitable USB mains adapter (not supplied).
  • Connect the USB-C plug of the connection cable 6 to the connection socket 2 of the charging pad and the USB mains adapter to a mains socket. The operating LEDs 1 4 and 2 5 light up blue for approx. 3 seconds and then go out. The device is in standby mode and ready for use.
  • Place the mobile phone on the charging pad with the back facing down. Position it centrally on charging surface 1 1 or charging surface 2 3 (see fig. A). You can charge two mobile phones at the same time (see fig. B).

TRONIC TLD 2 A1 Wireless QI Charging Pad fig 2

NOTE

  • Some mobile phones need to be taken out of their case for charging.
  • At ambient temperatures above 25°C, the charging power is reduced to protect against overheating. This increases the charging time of your mobile phone.
  • The connection socket (USB type-C) 2 cannot be used as an output.
  • Compatible mobile phones are detected automatically. If the mobile phone is not compatible, the operating LED 1 5/2 4 next to the respective charging surface 1 1/2 3 flashes blue. In this case, use a suitable adapter.
  • Charging starts immediately and is indicated on the display of the mobile phone. If you are using charging surface 1 1, operating LED 1 5 lights up to indicate charging: operating LED 1 5 lights up blue continuously. If you are using charging surface 2 3, then operating LED 2 4 lights up.
  • The charging progress is shown on the display of the mobile phone.
  • Remove the mobile phone from charging surface 1 1/2 3 and unplug the connection cable 6 once charging is complete.

Status of the LED display
Depending on the operating status, the operating LEDs 1 5 and 2 4 behave as follows:

Operating LED Status
Lights up blue for approx. 3 seconds Device is being supplied with power and

is ready for use
Off| Standby
The operating LED 1 5 or 2 4 goes out when the mobile phone is fully charged.
Lights up blue| Mobile phone is charged by induction
Flashes blue| Mobile phone is not compatible
Error message
Flashes green| Incompatible mains adapter or cable connected

Troubleshooting

The operating LEDs 15 and 24 do not light up for approx. 3 seconds when starting.

  • Check the connection of the USB-C plug to the charging pad on the connection socket 2.
  • Check the connection of the USB-A plug to the USB mains adapter (not supplied).
  • Connect the USB mains adapter to another socket.

The operating LED 1 5/ 2 4 does not light up while a mobile phone is on the charging pad 1 1/2 3. (A mobile phone is not charging.)

  • The cover of the mobile phone may be preventing induction charging. Remove the cover from your mobile phone.
  • The mobile phone is not placed correctly on the charging pad and induction charging does not start. Check the position of the mobile phone (see section Wirelessly charging a mobile phone).

The operating LED 1 5/2 4 flashes blue.

  • The mobile phone is not compatible with Qi induction charging technology and cannot be charged.
  • Use a suitable adapter to charge your mobile phone by induction charging.
  • Metal plates are used in some mobile phone covers. The operating LED 1 5/2 4 may react to these metal plates. Do not use the covers when induction charging. Remove them from the mobile phone beforehand.

The operating LEDs 1 5 and 2 4 flash green.

  • The green flashing is triggered when an incompatible USB mains adapter or cable is used. Make sure that a compatible USB mains adapter and cable are used (USB mains adapter not supplied, see section Technical data).

NOTE

  • If you cannot solve the problem with the above-mentioned solutions, please contact the Service Hotline (see section Service).
