STP Plastic Roof Duct
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
Roof pass-through
element for sloping ribbed and corrugated metal and bitumen roofing for
mounting of ventilation pipes outputs.
PURPOSE
Roof pass-through element STP a STT are designed as a hermetic passing for
ventilation pipes through sloping roofs.
Roofing slope angle must be between 20° and 45° for the pass-through element to
be installed. Roofing must be made of metal or bitumen material and either
ribbed seamed (model STP) or corrugated (e.g. Monterey style) (model STT). In
case of corrugated roofing, the wave height of the profile must be 25 mm, length
of the profile from 350 mm to 400 mm.
Roof pass-through is designed for ventilation pipes with diameter of 110 – 160
mm.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Please read the instructions carefully. Pay particular attention to the
operating requirements.
When mounting the devices at the roof surface, it is obligatory to follow
safety rules and act with due care
Do not install the device at roof sloping points or other places with high
water level. There may not be any water concentration.
Do not install the pipe near the objects, which can have a negative influence
on colour or proper functioning of the device.
In areas and regions with snowy winters, it is recommended to install snow
guards or other protection additionally up to the device.
Clean the surface of the device from dirt and trash timely.
MOUNTING
PIC 1 – Put the pass-through element against roofing and draw the outline with
a pencil on the inside.
PIC 2 – Cut out a hole in the roofing following the outline.
PIC 3 – Stick out the protective sticker from the sealant on the bottom of the
pass-through element.
PIC 4 – Install the pass-through element to the roofing and fix it with self-
tapping screws suitable for the roofing type.
ATTENTION!
Do not use a cutting wheel to cut out the hole to avoid roofing damage.
In case of local stability loss of the roofing sheet (e.g., its pushing) during
self-tapping screws drawing, put a piece of wood (wooden bar) under this
roofing sheet.
Self-tapping screws with EPDM o-ring sealant used for mounting of the device
to the roofing are not included into package. Screw type depends on the roofing
material, construction and design.
