FIG-2

  1. Cover the front fender to prevent damage to the fender during in-stallation.
  2. Remove the 1/2” nuts that secure the turn signal housings to the fork and store in a safe place for reinstallation later.Custom-Dynamics-CD-WT2-14-B-Black-Windshield-Trim-FIG-3
  3. Pull assembly away from the fork to reveal the black JAE wiring connector. Unplug the JAE connector by pushing in on the tab lo-cated on the male side of the connection, circled in the photo. Push the tab and pull apart both sides at the same time. Remove the turn signal assembly from the bike completely and store in a safe place for reinstallation shortly.
  4. Remove the 3 top T27 Torx Bolts from the outer fairing as shown in Picture 3. Remove the windshield and store it in a safe place for reinstallation later.
  5. Reinstall the center T27 Torx Bolt only that was removed in Step 3. Lightly tighten the center bolt to secure the fair-ing while you remove the remaining 4 inner fairing bolts.
  6. Remove the 2 T27 Torx bolts from the left and the right side of the inner fairing as shown in Picture 4. Save the bolts for reinstallation.
  7. While standing in front of the bike and holding the fairing, remove the center outer fairing T27 Torx bolt and pull the fairing slightly away from the bike.
  8. With the fairing slightly pulled away from the bike, discon-nect the connector from the headlamp. Lay the fairing on a protected flat surface to prevent damage.
  9. On the windshield trim harness plug the Black male JAE connector into the female connector of the front turn sig-nal main wiring harness.
  10. Push the Black female 4 pin JAE connector of the wind-shield trim harness through the hole in the front fork go-ing out to the turn signal bracket.
  11. Turn the ignition to the “RUN” position and confirm that the windshield trim is operating correctly.
  12. Re-install the fairing, make sure to plug in the headlamp con-nector back onto the headlamp. Hold the windshield trim above the fairing, then push the outer fairing cover into place.
  13. Next put the windshield trim into position and secure loosely with the provided washer and new center 1/4-20 x 2 1/4 bolt. Make sure the wires route at the sides of the fairing as shown in Picture 5.
  14. Re-install the windshield, let it rest there for now.
  15. Re-install the T27 Torx bolts into the inner fairing, make sure the longer bolts are in the top holes. DO NOT tighten down yet, we want to be able to adjust fitment of the wires and windshield trim.
  16. Adjust the slack in the wiring, make sure the wire is exiting the side area of the fairing. Using the provided remaining washers and the two 1/4-20 x 7/8 Allen head Bolts, install onto the fair-ing. Make sure there is no wire slack remaining on the side of the windshield trim. Once the screws are started, make any final adjustments to fitment, then tighten all 3 top bolts.
  17. Tighten the 4 inner fairing bolts.
  18. Plug the Black 4 pin female JAE connector of the windshield trim harness into the turn signal bracket harness, then rein-stall the turn signal bracket onto the front fork and secure with the original nuts. Repeat for the other side.
  19. Perform a BCM sync by turning the ignition on, turn the 4 way hazards on, turn the ignition off. Allow the 4 way hazards to run for 3-4 minutes. Turn the ignition on. Turn the 4 way haz-ards off. Turn the ignition off.
  20. Test operation of all lighting in all modes before riding.
