Fits: 2018 – 2022 Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® (FXLR), Low Rider® S (FXLRS) and Low Rider® ST (FXLRST) with Custom Dynamics® Integrated Taillight Assembly (Sold Separately).

ATTENTION

Please read all information below before the Installation

Warning: Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery; refer to the owner’s manual. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock, injury, or fire. Secure the negative battery cable away from the positive side of the battery and all other positive voltage sources on the vehicle.

Safety First: Always wear appropriate safety gear including safety glasses when performing any electrical work. It is highly recommended that safety glasses be worn throughout this installation process. Be sure the vehicle is on a level surface, secure, and cool.
Important: This product is designed and intended for use as auxiliary lighting only. It is NOT intended to replace any original equipment lighting installed on the vehicle and should not be used for that purpose. This product must be wired so that it does not interfere with any original equipment lighting.

Installation

  1. Secure the motorcycle on a level surface. Confirm the ignition switch is in the off position.
  2. Remove the seat and locate the rear lighting connectors to the rear fender as shown in Picture 1.Custom-Dynamics-CD-STTL-HARN-Low-Rider-Integrated-Taillight-Harness-FIG1
  3. Plug the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness into the rear turn signal lighting connectors shown in Picture 1. The Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness JAE turn signal connectors with the brown wire will connect to the Black JAE connectors of the bikes wiring harness. The Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness JAE turn signal connectors with the Purple wire will connect to the Gray JAE connectors of the bike’s wiring harness as shown in Picture 2.Custom-Dynamics-CD-STTL-HARN-Low-Rider-Integrated-Taillight-Harness-FIG2
  4. Route the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness through the rear fender to the taillight mounting base.
  5. Using the provided Magnet Wire Tie Holders and Wire Ties, secure the harness to the underside of the rear fender. Make sure the harness will not come in contact with the rear tire while operating the motorcycle.
  6. Connect the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness to 2 pin Female Connector with the Purple wire to the integrated taillight 2-pin Male turn signal connector with the Purple wire. Connect the Low Rider Integrated Taillight Harness to 2 pin Female Connector with the Brown wire to the integrated taillight 2-pin Male turn signal connector with the Brown wire. The 2 pin Female connectors on the Integrated taillight will not be used. Refer to Photo 2.
  7. Install the taillight on the taillight base.
  8. Perform a BCM sync by turning the ignition on, turning the 4-way hazards on, turn the ignition off. Allow the 4-way hazards to run for 3-4 minutes. Turn the ignition on. Turn the 4-way hazards off. Turn the ignition off.
  9. Test all lighting for proper operation before riding.
