SEVERIN ZB 8181 SEVO Plancha Grill Plate

Dear Customer

Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Safety instructions

The SEVO Plancha Grill Plate must only be used with grills from the SEVO range. The safety instructions for the grill used therefore also apply.
The grill must always be cool when the plancha grill plate is placed on it.
Caution! Always make sure that the grill has cooled down completely before removing the plancha grill plate.
Never pour water onto the assembled plancha grill plate and never immerse the hot plate in cold water.
To avoid damaging your plancha grill plate, do not use any pointed or sharp objects to remove grilled food.
Do not use metal scourers or abrasive cleaning products to clean the plancha grill plate.

Before using for the first time

Take the plancha grill plate out of its packaging and completely remove any packing materials.
Clean the plancha grill plate as specified in the “Cleaning and Care” section.
Assemble the plancha grill plate as described in the “Operation” section.
Heat the plancha grill plate at the highest setting, with no food on it, for approximately 10 minutes. A small amount of smoke may appear. If using in enclosed rooms, therefore, make sure there is sufficient ventilation, by opening windows or patio/balcony doors, or position the appliance under an extractor hood.
Afterwards, allow to cool down completely and clean the appliance again.

Operation

Take off the left side of the grill and position the plancha grill plate so that the pins on the plate are engaged with the holes in the reflector. It is not generally essential to fit the wind-guard.
If required, apply a thin coat of heatresistant cooking oil to the plancha grill plate.
Heat the grill up to the required temperature. Close the lid of the appliance.
After heating the grill up, place your food on it.
The plancha grill plate takes about 10 minutes to heat up.

Cleaning and Care

Caution! Always make sure that the grill has cooled down completely before removing the plancha grill plate.
After every use, wait for the plancha grill plate to cool down and then clean it.
Do not use metal scourers or abrasive cleaning products to clean the plancha grill plate.
Remove the plancha grill plate and clean it in water, leave to soak if necessary.
Then dry it thoroughly and store in a dry room.
Do not clean the plancha grill plate in the dishwasher.

**Disposal

Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as they contain valuable materials which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.

Guarantee

This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
