Custom Dynamics CD-CVO-MOUNT-B CVO Pate Frame Mount
Product Information
The product is a license plate mount kit consisting of two part numbers: CD- CVO-MOUNT-B and CD-CVO-MOUNT-C. The package contains a Plate Frame Mount and a Rubber Gasket. The mount kit is designed to replace the OEM plate frame mount and provide a new mounting option for license plates on the rear fender of a vehicle. The mount kit has a CVO Mounting Plate that is compatible with license plates and has pre-drilled holes for easy installation.
Product Usage Instructions
ATTENTION: Before installation, remove the license plate from the OEM plate frame mount.
- Locate the license plate illumination connector cover located on the underside of the rear fender.
- Remove the nut securing the connector cover to the fender. With the nut removed, pull the cover off of the stud and slide the cover up to remove.
- Disconnect the 2 pin license plate illumination connector.
- Remove the OEM plate frame mount from the fender by removing the two mounting bolts.
- Install the rubber gasket on the back of the CVO Mounting plate.
- Lay the new CVO Mounting Plate, with the Rubber Gasket installed, onto the fender. Align the mounting holes on the CVO Mounting plate with the holes in the fender.
- Using the 2 existing mounting bolts, secure the CVO Mounting Plate to the rear fender.
- Reinstall the connector cover on under side of the rear fender using the existing nut.
- Gently radius your license plate to match the radius of the CVO Mounting Plate.
- Using the provided bolts and Threaded Bolt Plates, mount your license plate to the CVO Mounting Plate.

Fits: 2014-2022 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide CVO™ (FLHXSE), 2018-2022 Road Glide CVO™ (FLTRXSE) and 2014 Road King CVO™ (FLHRSE) Fit standard 4” x 7” motorcycle license plates.
ATTENTION
Please read all information below before Installation
Warning: Disconnect negative battery cable from the battery; refer to the
owner’s manual. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock, injury, or
fire. Secure the negative battery cable away from the positive side of the
battery and all other positive voltage sources on vehicle.
Safety First : Always wear appropriate safety gear including safety
glasses when performing any electrical work. It is highly recommended that
safety glasses be worn throughout this installation process. Be sure the
vehicle is on level surface, secure and cool.
Important: This product is designed and intended for use as auxiliary
lighting only. It is NOT intended to replace any original equipment lighting
installed on the vehicle and should not be used for that purpose. This product
must be wired so that it does not interfere with any original equipment
lighting.
Installation
- Remove the license plate from the OEM plate frame mount.
- Locate the license plate illumination connector cover located on the underside of the rear fender. Refer to Photo 1.
- Remove the nut securing the connector cover to the fender. With the nut removed, pull the cover off of the stud and slide the cover up to remove. Refer to Photo1
- Disconnect the 2 pin license plate illumination connector.
- Remove the OEM plate frame mount from the fender by removing the two mounting bolts. Refer to Photo 2.
- Install the rubber gasket on the back of the CVO Mounting plate.
- Lay the new CVO Mounting Plate, with the Rubber Gasket installed, onto the fender. Align the mounting holes on the CVO Mounting plate with the holes in the fender.
- Using the 2 existing mounting bolts, secure the CVO Mounting Plate to the rear fender.
- Reinstall the connector cover on under side of the rear fender using the existing nut.
- Gently radius your license plate to match the radius of the CVO Mounting Plate.
- Using the provided bolts and Threaded Bolt Plates, mount your license plate to the CVO Mounting Plate.
