By customizing your living area with the more than 16 million hues that are available to suit your mood, you can take the experience of smart home lighting to the next level. You can tune the color temperature to gentle white for relaxing or brilliant white for working with an adjustable white color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K. Create schedules and automations that fit into your daily routine to control your lighting experience from anywhere using your iPhone or iPad (Home Hub set up required using HomePod, Apple TV or iPad).
When you’re running late and don’t want to arrive home to a dark house, use your iPhone to turn on the lights. You may also increase security by keeping your home well-lit while you’re away on vacation. You can start operating your SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth lights without a hub. PAIR PRODUCT TO APPLE® HOME AND AN APP ON IOS DEVICES
- Power up the product
- Open Home app on an
- iOS 10.3 Apple® device
- Select the plus sign in the upper right-hand corner, and proceed to add accessory
- Select “Add Accessory”
- Select the product discovered from last step
- Scan or enter the 8-digit HomeKit setup code (printed on the product and below) into the Home app
VOICE ASSISTANCE
- Use Siri from Apple” device to enable voice control
SCENE CONTROL
- Hit the “+”sign on the top right corner on the Home app Screen to create your favorite scene
GROUP CONTROL
- Use the “Rooms” feature in Home app to group products together for group control
HOW TO SHARE HOME KIT ACCESS
- Open the Home app on your iPhone
- Select the arrow in the top left-hand corner
- Under people select invite
- Enter the appropriate user’s email address or phone number. The user’s information must be linked to an iCloud account in order to gain access
SCHEDULING AND AWAY-FROM-HOME CONTROL
- Use the “Automation” in Home app to manage scheduling and away from home control
- Away from home control and scheduling controlled via Apple TV (4th generation or later) with tvOS 10 or later or an iPad with iOS 10 or later

Simply follow the instructions
RESET PRODUCT TO MANUFACTURER DEFAULT SETTING
- Power cycle the accessory 5 times
- Accessories will flash 4times when reset is successful
PRODUCT SOFTWARE UPGRADE
- Download the “SYLVANIA Smart Home app” from the iOS App Store
- Select the product
- Hit start
- A notification message will pop up after the software upgrade is completed successfully
FAQs
is this a multicolored bulb?****
Through the Apple Home App, you can select a single color at a time from over 16 million colors when using this bulb. However, it will not display multiple colors at once.
Amazing how low cost it is for a smart bulb! is it Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?****
Our Apple HomeKit line of smart products use Bluetooth protocol.
Will this bulb reset and need to be re-paired if I turn it off at the switch?****
The bulb will not be reset, however if the power to the bulb is cut off any commands from the app (schedules, automation, etc.) will not work. To reset, you need to power cycle through the device by turning it on and off 5 times in a row.
Does this work with ifttt?****
No. These are HomeKit only.
Where can I find the entire list of Siri homekit voice commands for the Sylvania a19 full color led bulb?****
I just tell Siri what I want; for instance, turn light blue or red. Works great no problem so far.
work with Alexa?****
The SMART+ HomeKit-enabled Full Color bulb will currently only work with Siri voice control.
Can you program color loops on this bulb? I want it to run on a loop fading from one color to the next between 5-10 colors.****
The Apple Home app currently does not support color looping.
I keep getting the message “Home couldn’t connect to this accessory” after it seemingly has seen the device and tried to connect. The code is the sam.****
Please try and reset the device and connect to Home again. If the problem comes back, the device may be faulty. In that case please reach out to SYLVANIA customer support for assistance.
Can I turn off away from home? Or only Bluetooth?****
If you are using either an iPad, Apple TV, or HomePod as your Home Hub you will be able to create schedules and automations via Apple HomeKit.
Does this work with 220V?****
No, it does not work with 220V.
If the color is set to the yellow spectrum would this bulb still attract insects?****
I honestly don’t know, I use mine in the living room.

Description says it needs iPad with version 10 or later. I don’t see why it couldn’t, but will it work with an iPhone?
You can pair and control your SMART+ HomeKit accessories (change colors, turn on and off, dim, etc.) with just your iPhone. However, if you would like to set up away from home control for schedules or accessing your accessories when you’re not at home, you will need either an iPad or Apple TV to set up as your Home Hub.
How many bulbs can I connect to the homepod, is there a limitation on the number of Bluetooth low energy devices?****
I only have 3 but I have seen home apps with dozens of devices. But I don’t have a specific number but I wouldn’t be worried about adding too many.
Would it be dangerous to write the HomeKit code on a small piece of electrical tape and wrap it around the visible part of the base?****
The HomeKit code is also on the bulb itself so there’s no need to write it again on tape.
