Whitecroft lighting ACL Extreme IP65 LED Luminaire
GENERAL INFORMATION
- A qualified electrician, in accordance with IEE wiring regulations should carry out connection to mains wiring.
- This luminaire must be EARTHED.
- If the luminaire incorporates high frequency electronic control gear, do not carry out high voltage insulation test, i.e. 500/1000v this may damage internal components.
- Cleanin g of the diffuser should be carried out using a lint free cloth and soapy water.
- NB It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all fixing & cable entry holes are sealed in a sat i sfactory manner to ensure that IP integrity is maintained.
- It is recommended that rubber seals around fixing points & polycarbonate diffuser be replaced every 6 years due to potential deterioration & ensure continued IP integrity.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PRE-INSTALLATION PREPARATION
- Remove luminaire from the packaging and inspect the contents for damage.
- Ensure that the supporting ceiling structure is of adequate strength to support the weight of the luminaires & all tools for installation are available.
INSTALLATION
- Remove endcap from body by removing the 3 tamperproof screws at one end.
- Remove the diffuser from the body making reference to the diagrams herein.
- Remove gear tray from body by unscrewing the 4 tamperproof (Torx pin) screws on gear tray and unplug the terminal block.
- Making reference to the product dimensions herein or using the spine as a template mark & drill suitable holes for suspension fixing points. Endcap cable entry point will need to be drilled out in the marked location on the outer endcap.
- Fix the body to the ceiling using suitable fixings for the weight of the luminaire. Note: Ensure that Ingress Protection (IP) integrity is maintained using suitable rubber washers or sealant to seal up any access points.
- Offer the mains cable through endcap cable entry point & connect to the terminal block. Fit an IP rated gland or similar to ensure IP integrity is not compromised.
- If the luminaire is an emergency variant, connect the battery lead at this point.
- Re-assemble the diffuser & endcap making reference to diagrams below.
- Apply power & check for correct operation of luminaire & emergency charge LED.
FITTING THE DIFFUSER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR COVERS
Follow the product installation instructions except for Step 4, follow these instructions below to install covers then continue product installation instruction.
4FT & 5FT SUSPENDED COVER INSTALLATION
- Ensure all 20mm holes on the back of the fitting have a grommet in them, there is a spare grommet in cover kit to replace a pierced one.
- Nut and bolt the cover to the product extrusion as shown in (Fig.1) there are 4 bolts to be fitted (Fig.2). Ensure that the rubber washer are not overtightened and give a good seal.
- Nut and bolt the mounting bracket to the cover (Fig.3) there are 4 bolts per bracket to be fitted. There are 2 mounting brackets per cover (Fig.4)
- Mount the product on site using the 4 slots provided. See Product dimensions for fixing centres.
4FT & 5FT SURFACE COVER INSTALLATION
- Ensure all 20mm holes on the back of the fitting have a grommet in them, there is a spare grommet in cover kit to replace a pierced one.
- Nut and bolt the cover to the product extrusion as shown in (Fig.5) there are 4 bolts to be fitted (Fig.6). Ensure that the rubber washers are not overtightened and give a good seal.
- Mount the product on site using the slots provided. See Product dimensions for fixing centres.
