FAQs
just bought these lights and love them! I was wondering if future generations will allow you to pick more than just 2 lights?****
We can only hope because the color schemes (bulb colors) are presently already chosen, preset/predetermined, and come “as is” unless you use the “pick 2” scheme, which allows for only 2 color choices.
What is the model number of these lights?****
these are model AT1308.
One strand in a group of 3 is not working and won’t power on? I’ve tried to reset and cannot get to turn on?****
Be sure to check the fuse in your plug. Reach out to us directly if you need assistance.
What happens with these lights if I lose my Wi-Fi connection?****
You won’t be able to control the lights with your phone until Wi-Fi is restored.
Will these work in freezing weather? It can get as cold as negative 20 F in Wisconsin.****
Yes, these will work in freezing weather.
Why is it not available with a remote like the rest if my wi-fi lights?****
Remotes only work when you are close enough to be in range. With the app installed on your smart phone, the lights can be turned on or off, or changed, from virtually anywhere in the world.
Can we change the bulbs inside the glass? These are not bright enough and I like everything else other than brightness in colors.****
You can unscrew the poly globes to see what is inside. You will find there is a tiny LED bulb inside that I do not think is replaceable. There are settings on the app where you can set the colors and brightness of the bulbs and the whiter the color, the brighter they are. But I don’t think these lights are for anything more than ambiance lighting to set a mood.
Will it work if I plug in the extension cord at the opposite end of the control box? I would just need a male to male adapter.****
this won’t work. The power supply needs to come from the control box end.
How do I change scenes via Alexa? I can’t find the right commands anywhere? same question but with multicolored rainbow lights?****
unfortunately, Alexa doesn’t have support for specific detailed command changes such as the scenes right now. You can, however, set automations to be triggered to automatically change to a scene when a device is turned on. Reach out to us directly with any questions about that.
can I configure the lights to have alternating colors? (half the bulbs one color and the other half a different color – or even more combinations).****
You can choose “Pick 2” (press and hold) and you can choose two alternating colors.
Is there a way to create a Pick 2 and add motion? Or do you just edit the colors in an existing motion scene?****
unfortunately, there is no way to combine scenes. The ‘Pick 2’ option does not move and you cannot edit any of the other scenes.
I have one Bulb that continues to turn off and the next 2 bulbs begin to flash red/green.****
Contact/ call Atomi customer service.
Is it safe to connect this to an extension cord? Extension cord to outlet 1 st.****
Yes, as long as it’s an outdoor rated extension cord.
My router has 2.4 and 5, but the app won’t connect to it, why?****
The lights connect to a secure 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network. If you’re having trouble, you can refer to our connection troubleshooting guide on our website. Please also consider reaching out to us directly for one-on-one assistance. Reasons for not connecting can be vast and impossible to diagnose via Amazon Questions here.
Do the 2nd gen lights have a different part number than the 1st gen?****
no, they don’t have a different part number.
