INSTRUCTIONS.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
taken including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this appliance.
- Use fan only for purposes described in this Owner’s Guide.
- WARNING — Only use fan with all 3 blades securely attached.
- WARNING — Always hang from a sturdy member of a canopy or tent with clearance between the fan blades, bottom of the lamp, and the head of users when standing.
- WARNING — Only use the built-in strap to hang the fan.
- WARNING — To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use in a window, on a table, or on the floor
- WARNING — To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- To reduce the risk of electrical shock do not immerse unit, plug, or cord in water or other liquids.
- This appliance is provided with a power cord with a micro-USB plug for the attaching to the appliance and a USB type A plug for connecting to a power supply. Do not attempt to use any other type of cord. A USB extension cord can be used if it has a minimum wire size of 22 AWG.
- Unplug from power supply when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, grip plug, and pull from receptacle on power supply or wall receptacle.
- DO NOT operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- To avoid risk of fire, NEVER place the cord under rugs or any parts near an open flame, cooking, or other heating appliance.
- DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runner, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area, where it will not be tripped over. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or hot surfaces.
- DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or charger after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped/ damaged in any manner
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- The lithium battery is not replaceable or repairable.
- DO NOT use outdoors when plugged into the charger or for commercial use.

Your fan is intended only to circulate air from overhead for cooling a
localized area such as a tent or canopy. It may be powered using the built-in
lithium rechargeable batteries or by the USB charging/power cable (included)
using a suitable charger/power supply (included).
YOUR RECHARGEABLE FAN INCLUDES:
- Fan unit with 3 detachable blades and 3 built-in (or captivated) locking pins.
- USB cord and 5 VDC, 3000 mA AC adapter/charger with separate micro USB cable (for power and charging only). The USB cord can be used to charge and/or run the fan.
- Remote control
- Battery for remote control
CHARGING
- For optimal performance, fully charge before first use.
- Use supplied cord to attach fan to the included AC adapter (or a standard 5 VDC USB supply (not included) as found on a smart phone charger with at least 1000 mA current capacity). Plug the larger Type A rectangular connector into the charger and the smaller micro-USB plug into the receptacle on the side of the fan near the ON/OFF switch. The red charging indicator light will turn on while charging.
- When fully charged, the LED light will turn off.
- The charging cord can be removed or left in place to operate the fan if the cord is routed so it cannot be caught by the fan blades. The fan may be operated while charging but the charging may take longer.
- Charge the fan every 6 months whether it has been used or not. Remove battery from remote control if not used for more than 2 weeks.
GETTING STARTED
- Remove battery protection tab from remote control.
- To attach a fan blade, lift the locking pin up until it clicks into the raised position. Line up the mounting tab on the fan blade with the slot on the hub. Push the mounting tab into the slot until the release latch on the fan blade clicks in. The blades fit only one way: if the blades cannot be inserted, try flipping the blade over. TOP side is marked on the fan blade.
- Push the locking pin down until it clicks into place. Repeat for the other two fan blades.
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
- Mount the fan overhead by looping the strap over the canopy frame, inserting the “mushroom” head through one of the keyhole slots and pull the mushroom head up to seat in the narrow part of the keyhole. Pull down on the upper enclosure to ensure that the loop is secure on the canopy frame. Check that the fan blades are clear of the canopy supports or other potential obstructions. If using the charging cable, make sure to route it so it is clear of the rotating fan blades.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Turn ON unit by pushing the Power Button on the side of the upper enclosure.
- Using the remote control, push the fan switch to select OFF ⇢ Fan LOW ⇢ Fan HIGH⇢ OFF
- Using the remote control, push the light switch to select OFF⇢ Lamp LOW⇢ Lamp HIGH ⇢ OFF
- Turn unit OFF by again pushing the Power Button on the side of the upper enclosure.
- To remove the fan from the canopy frame, hold the lower part of the strap near the fan enclosure and push the mushroom head down and then pull end of strap away to release the strap.
- For transport or storage, remove the fan blades following instructions below.
- If the fan is not responding to the remote control, the battery in the remote may need to be replaced. The battery tray is at one end of the remote, squeeze in the tab on the edge and pull the drawer out. Place battery with the (+) mark up in the tray and slide the tray all the way in until it latches.
- Charge battery every 6 months when not in use.
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your fan.
CLEANING
- Always turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Clean using a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse fan in water or allow water to drip into enclosure. Do not use solvents like acetone or paint thinner to clean the fan.
STORAGE:
- Save original box for storage.
- Remove fan blades by:
o Pull up on the 3 locking pins until they click in the UP position.
o One blade at a time, push down on the locking tab on fan blade to release fan blade.
o Pull fan blade straight out; do not bend or twist blades. Do not use a tool, the latch may break.
TROUBLESHOOTING
-
Unit fails to turn on.
o Check that Power Button on the side of the upper enclosure is turned on.
o Using the remote control, check all fan speeds and the lamp. If only the lamp comes on, or no functions turn on, the fan needs to be recharged.
o Check that remote control has a fresh battery.
o Unit is damaged, missing parts, or in need of repair. Unplug and stop usage. Contact customer service for assistance. -
Battery does not charge
o Check that Power Button on the side of the upper enclosure is turned on.
o Make sure charger is powered and works for other devices. Check that charger is rated a minimum of 1000 mA current.
o Inspect cord set for damage. Do not use charging cord if damaged. Replace with similar micro-USB to USB Type A charging cable.
This unit contains a Li-ion battery. Battery must be recycled or disposed of
properly. Never incinerate or dispose of batteries into a fire. To recycle the
battery, using a #0 Philips screwdriver, remove the 3 screws on the top of the
upper enclosure (see illustration above) and lift off the upper enclosure to
expose the battery and circuit board.
The lithium battery has two cylindrical cells wrapped in blue plastic film.
Lift out the battery pack and pull the red/black leads from the circuit board.
The battery pack can be returned to a recycling center and the rest treated as
E-waste.
