WARNING: READ THIS OWNER’S MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following: WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to person:

  1. This device can be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with physical or sensory or mental disabilities or with insufficient experience and knowledge, if they are under constant supervision or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the possible dangers.

  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
    Cleaning and maintenance by the consumer should not be carried out by children without supervision.

  3. The product is for household use only.

  4. Children under 3 years of age should be kept as far away from appliances as possible unless they are monitored at all times.

  5. Children aged 3 to 8 years can only turn on / off the device, provided that the device is placed / installed
    in its normal intended working position. In addition, children must be provided with appropriate supervision or instructions for the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the dangers that may arise during use of the appliance. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 must not connect the appliance to the power supply (wall socket), adjust or clean the appliance, or carry out maintenance work by the user.

  6. Connect the appliance to single phase AC supply of the voltage specified on the rating plate.

  7. WARNING! In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

  8. Never leave the heater unattended while it is in use. Always turn the product to the OFF position and unplug it from the electrical outlet when not in use.
    ATTENTION! Parts of this product may be very hot and cause burns. Particular attention should be paid to where children and vulnerable persons are.

  9. The device has tip over switch protection. If the device falls, the device stops working.

  10. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, invalids or elderly person and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

  11. The heater must not be located immediately below an electrical socket-outlet.

  12. Do not run cord under carpeting and do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

  13. Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.

  14. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.

  15. Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

  16. Use the heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not insert or allow objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust openings in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Use the heater on flat, dry surfaces only.

  17. Do not place this heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances, as there may be a risk of fire. Keep the above flammable materials, surfaces or substances at least 1m from the front of the product and keep them away from the sides and rear.

  18. 18. Do not use the heater in any areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are stored e.g. Garages or workshops as a hot, arcing or sparking parts inside the heater.

  19. Don’t use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Never locate the heater where it may fall into bathtub or other water container.

  20. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns and personal injury, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving the product.

  21. Be sure that no other appliances are in use on the same electrical circuit as your product as an overload can occur.

  22. This heater is filled with a precise amount of special oil. Repairs requiring the opening of the oil container /container should only be carried out by the manufacturer or his authorized service representative, who should be contacted for assistance in the event of an oil leak.

  23. When disposing of the heater, the regulatory requirements for oil extraction / disposal must be observed.

  24. The heater should not be used in a room, of which the floor area is less than 5 M2.

  25. The cord shouldn’t be placed nearby the hot surface of the appliance.

  26. NOTE: It is normal for a noise to be heard inside the heater after first use or after not using it for a long time. After a short period of time, the noise will disappear.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

The heater is packaged with the feet unattached. You must attach them before operating the heater.
WARNING: Do not operate without feet attached. Do operate the heater only in upright position (feet on the bottom, controls on the top), any other position could create a hazardous situation.ARDESTO-OFH-E09X2-Oil-Filled-Radiator-fig

  1. Place the radiator body upside-down on a scratch-free location, make sure it is stable and will not fall.

  2. Screw off the wing nuts from the U-shaped bolt provided, attach the U-shaped bolt to the U-facing flange between first and second fins (near the front cover).

  3. To attach the wheel mounting plate to the radiator body, you should insert the threaded ends of the U bolt in the holes on the wheel mounting plate.

  4. Screw the wing nuts back to the U bolt and fasten the wing nut properly.
    Note: do not over tighten, which may cause the damage of radiator flange.

  5. Screw off spherical nut from the castor, align the shaft to the hole of the castor mounting plate, insert in, and screw on the spherical nut.

  6. Repeat 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the rear of radiator for mounting of the rear wheels.
    Note: the rear wheels must be mounted between the end two fins.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Before using the heater, make sure that it is on a flat and stable surface. Damage may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline.
  2. Insert the plug into a socket-outlet which is well grounded. Be sure that plug fits firmly. Press the power switch on the side of the device.
  3. Pr+ ] and [ – ] buttess ON/OFF buttons.on and set the desirable power & temperature by pressing Mode,
  4. As soon as the room temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the unit will switch itself on automatically until the set temperature has been reached again.In this way the room temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity.
  5. This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts off the heater when parts of the heater are getting excessively hot.
  6. To completely shut the heater off, press ON/OFF button, and remove plug from the socket-outlet.

CONTROLS ON PRODUCT

  • ON/OFF: press this button after plug in to power on the heater and start operation. Press it again to stop operation and set the heater into standby mode.
  • Mode: use this button to set the power level.
  • Timer: use this button to set the timer.
    [+]and [ – ]: use these buttons when setting the desired temperature, or for setting the
    timer.

REMOTE CONTROL

  • POWER: press this button after plug in to power on the heater and start operation, or press it again to stop operation and set the heater into standby mode.
    MODE: use this button to set the power level.
    TIMER: use this button to set the timer.
    [A] and [V]: use these buttons when setting the desired temperature, or for setting the timer.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

  • The heater has a thermostat which enables you to set the temperature from 15 °C to 35 °C. Once a temperature has been set, the heater will remain on until the room temperature has reached the temperature on the digital display. The thermostat will then cycle on and off to maintain the set room temperature.
  • Power on the heater, the display will show 88 and keep flashing. Press Mode button to set the desired power level. The desired temperature and power lever will be shown and flash on the screen.
  • Use the [+ or ] and [- . ] buttons to set the desired temperature, from 15 °C to or 35 °C
  • While the heater is warming up the room, the heat level symbol will keep flashing on the display until the set temperature has been reached. The symbol will stop flashing then. The heater comes on again when the room temperature drops below the desired temperature.
  • USE THE ] and [- orUse the [+ or ] buttons to change the desired room temperature at any time.

SETTING THE TIMER

When the heater is powered on. You can set the timer to switch off the appliance automatically after a certain period of time (1 to 12 hours from the time the function is set).

  1. Power on the heater, the display will show 88 and keep flashing. Press Timer button to set the desired power off time. The display will show 00 and start flashing on the screen.
  2. Use the [+ or ] and [- or ] buttons to set the heater operation time (be and 12 hours). The function will activate once the timer icon stops flashing.
  3. The heater will cycle on and off as per the set temperature setting and discontinue operation when the set time has run out.
    Example: It is now 4pm. The heater is on and you want it to shut off at 11pm
    automatically. Set the timer-off function to 7 hours: the heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. It will stop operating at 11pm and go into standby mode. It is recommended to unplug the heater from the wall outlet when the heater is
    not in use.

OFF-SEASON STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Secure the power cord, and place your heater in its original package.
  2. Store the package in a cool, dry location.
  3. Take out the remote batteries (to prevent corrosion) as shown below. Store the remote in a safe place.ARDESTO-OFH-E09X2-Oil-Filled-Radiator-fig 7

SAFETY FEATURES

Your heater is equipped with a Tip-Over Safety Switch. When your heater tips over, it will turn off automatically. Your heater is equipped with an Overheat Protection System. When the threshold temperature has been reached, your heater will turn off automatically.
To reset your heater when the overheat Protection System has been activated, perform the following:

  1. Turn the heater to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Allow your heater to cool down for approximately ten minutes.
  4. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
  5. Turn the heater to the ON position.
  6. If your heater does not operate normally, turn the heater to the OFF position, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and consult an authorized repair technician.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Press power (ON/OFF) button to turn off the heater, remove the plug from the socket-outlet and allow the radiator to cool down before clean it.
  2. Wipe radiator with a soft damp (not wet) cloth.

WARNING:

  • Do not immerse the heater in water.
  • Do not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.
  • Do not allow the interior to get wet as this could create a hazard.

3. To store away the heater, wind the cable round bobbin and store the heater in a clean dry place.
4. In case of malfunction or doubt, do not try to repair the radiator yourself, it may result in a fire hazard or electric shock.

CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

Warranty conditions

The plant guarantees normal operation of the product within 12 months from the date of the sale, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of operation and care provided by this Manual.
Service life of the product is 5 years.
In order to avoid any misunderstanding we kindly ask you to carefully study the Owner’s Manual, the terms of warranty, and check the correctness of filling the Warranty Card. The Warranty Card is valid only if the following information is correctly and clearly stated: model, serial number of the product, date of sale, clear seals of the company-seller, signature of the buyer. The model and serial number of the product must correspond to those specified in the Warranty Card.
If these terms are violated, and if the information specified in the Warranty Card is changed, erased or rewritten, the Warranty Card is considered invalid.
Setup and installation (assembly, connection, etc.) of the appliance are described in the attached documentation; they can be carried out both by the user, and by specialists having the necessary qualification sent by USC or selling companies
(on a paid basis). In this case, the person (the institution) installing the appliance shall be responsible for the correctness and quality of installation (setup). Please pay attention to the importance of the correct installation of the appliance, both for its reliable operation, and for obtaining warranty and free service. Require the installation specialist to enter all the necessary information about the installation in the Warranty Card.
In case of failure of the appliance during the warranty period by the fault of the manufacturer, the owner is entitled to free warranty repair upon presentation of the correctly filled Warranty Card together with the appliance in the factory configuration packed in the original packaging to the warranty workshop or the place of its purchase. Satisfaction of the customer’s claim due to the fault of the manufacturer shall be made in accordance with the law «On Protection of Consumers’ Rights». In the case of warranty repair the warranty period shall be extended for the period of repair and shipment.

We ask you to keep the coupon during the warranty period. When purchasing a product, require a full warranty card.

  1. Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *
  2. The service life of household appliances is 5 years.
  3. The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller / manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.
  4. Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.
  5. The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.
  6. The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
    • misuse and non-consumer use;
    • mechanical damage;
    • damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, insects;
    • damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
    • damage caused by non-compliance of power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
    • when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
    • in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
    • lack of serial number of the device, or inability to identify it.
  7. The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands and other containers for storing products.
  8. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.
  • Tear-off maintenance tickets are provided by an authorized service center.
    The completeness of the product is checked. I have read the terms of the warranty service, no complaints.
