FUEL SUPPLY

Fuel and oil

  • Fuel: Your machine is equipped with a high-performance 2-stroke engine and runs on a fuel + oil mixture
  • Important: you can use regular unleaded petrol in the fuel mixture.
  • Gasoline + oil is not mixed directly in the tank.
  • Fuel may only be stored in suitable containers (canisters)
  • Mixing ratio: we recommend a mixture of 25 ml oil to 1 l petrol when using Ruris 2TT Max or an oil of API classification: TC or higher.
  • To homogenise the fuel with the oil, it is necessary to move the container
  • Tip: do not use the fuel mixture after more than 7 days, after each use empty the fuel tank and start the machine to consume the fuel in the carburettor.
  1. Position the machine on the ground or a solid work surface and clean any deposits from around the tank lid.
  2. Remove the tank lid.
  3. Fill the tank with clean, fresh fuel.
  4. Replace the cap and wipe up any spilled fuel before starting the machine.

FUEL HANDLING SAFETY

This fuel is highly flammable. Do not smoke or bring flame or sparks near the fuel.

IMPORTANT

  1. Stop the engine before refuelling the unit.
  2. Using the wrong oil can lead to plug fouling, exhaust clogging or piston ring seizure.
  3. Move at least 3 metres away from the power point before starting the engine.
  4. Using the wrong fuel will cause severe damage to the internal parts of the engine in a short time.

COMMISSIONING

  1. Fill the fuel by repeatedly pressing the priming pump until no air bubbles are visible at the delivery line.

  2. Switch the on/off button to position 1 (on).

  3. If the engine is cold. Close the intake by pulling the choke to the maximum position.
    (Shock is closed).

  4. Place the machine on the ground and hold the handle firmly with your right hand.

  5. Pull the starter rope gently until you feel resistance.

  6. Start the machine by pulling the starter rope vigorously and smoothly after pretensioning.

If the machine does not start, repeat step 5.

WHEN THE COLD ENGINE STARTS

IMPORTANT!
For maximum suction performance allow the motor to warm up before use.

  1. Run the engine at minimum speed (idle) until operating temperature is reached (2 or 3 minutes).
  2. As the engine warms up, open the choke gradually, pulling it fully open.
  3. The machine should now be ready for operation.

STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE

  1. Disconnect the spark plug and using the spark plug wrench, unscrew counterclockwise.
  2. If the spark plug is dirty or soaked with fuel, clean or replace the plug.
  3. Clean excess fuel from the combustion chamber by operating the starter a few times.
  4. Install spark plug and tighten firmly using spark plug wrench
  5. Reconnect the spark plug
  6. Repeat the starting procedure for ”warm engine”
  7. If the engine still does not start, refer to the table in the ”Troubleshooting” chapter of this manual.

ENGINE SHUTDOWN

The engine is switched off by turning the switch to position (0).

  • Check the engine, casing and holes for dirt buildup, debris or possible fuel leaks and clean if necessary.
  • Check the entire machine for damage, leaks or missing components and repair if necessary.

EVERY 10 HOURS! (MORE OFTEN IF WORKING IN DUSTY CONDITIONS)
