670614 Global Industrial Spill Berms Low Profile User Manual

UPON RECEIPT, INSPECT THE PRODUCT TO ENSURE THE ORIGINAL PACKING MATERIAL IS INTACT AND THAT THE PRODUCT RELEASES EASILY FROM THE PROTECTIVE SHEET

TO USE THE SPILL BERM

1. Ensure there is no debris in the area where the spill berm will be used. Large debris can prevent a perfect seal from forming.
2. Use proper PPE for the spill being handled.
3. Place the Spill Berm with the widest base down to stick to the ground. Surround the spill on all sides to contain it.

Leaving the spill berm deployed will result in bonding to the surface it is on. Removing the blocker from a surface that it has bonded to will likely damage either the blocker, surface, or both.

TO DECONTAMINATE THE SPILL BERM

1. Wash the Spill Berm using warm water and a non-abrasive detergent or petroleum solvent cleaner. Always thoroughly clean dirt and other debris and reside from the product before storing it.
2. As a final step before storing, wipe with soft cloth or wiper. Allow the Berm to dry before storing.

STORING THE SPILL BERM

ALWAYS DECONTAMINATE AND CLEAN THE SPILL BERM BEFORE STORAGE AND REUSE.

1. Always use the protective plastic sheet to prevent the product from touching itself or the storage container. If the plastic sheet is discarded or damaged, use a polyethylene sheet at least 0.10mm thick.
2. Store the product in a cool, dry place.

Storage Notes

• Never allow the Spill Berm to be in contact with itself for long periods of time.

• Store indoors to prevent UV exposure and uncontrolled temperatures and humidity.
  To prolong the life of the product, avoid exposure to sunlight.

• The spill berm will become less flexible if stored in cold temperatures.

• Other factors, such as humidity and UV radiation exposure will affect the Spill Berm. Periodically check the stored product to ensure product is still in working condition. (Recommended checking every month)

• Do not expose to chemical vapors.

• Store in temperatures less than 120°F (49°C) and <80% humidity.

WARNING

URETHANE REACTS NEGATIVELY WITH SOME CHEMICALS. DO NOT USE SPILL BERM WITH INCOMPATIBLECHEMICALS. Exposure to incompatible chemicals will damage the product and prevent reuse.
