SAFETY CAUTIONS
- Original instructions. Read these safety precautions carefully before using the unit! This appliance should only be used as described within this instruction booklet. Please retain for future reference.
WARNING! THIS APPLIANCE GETS HOT!
- ALWAYS keep out of reach of children (during and after use and whilst cooling).
- Always take extra care if used on children or near children.
- Do not use it on very young children.
IMPORTANT SAFETY
- UK Only: This appliance must not be used in the bathroom.
- Outside the UK: If using the appliance in a bathroom, unplug it after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
- WARNING! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
- Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids.
- Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if damaged, or if the appliance has been dropped. In the event of damage, discontinue use immediately. Contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).
- Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged. In the event of damage, discontinue use immediately. If the lead is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer. Return the appliance to the Customer Care Centre (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information). No repair must be attempted by the consumer.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on or plugged in.
- This appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat. In the event of overheating the appliance will either stop automatically or run hot and cold intermittently. Should this happen, switch the appliance to the ‘0’ position, unplug and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Before use, ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris. Plug in and switch on. If the appliance continues to overheat discontinue use immediately, switch off and unplug, and contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).
- Take care that the air vents do not become blocked when in use. Ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris before use.
- Always ensure that the rear air filter is kept away from hair during use to prevent it being dragged into the fan which may cause the appliance to overheat.
- Take care using this appliance when wearing jewelry, in particular necklaces and earrings to avoid entanglement in the rotating brush head.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand, the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
- After use, do not coil the lead around the appliance as this may cause damage to the lead. Instead, coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.
- Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by BaByliss.
- Always unplug the appliance when not in use or before cleaning.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Ensure the hair is 80% dry and combed through to remove any tangles. Divide the hair into sections ready for styling.
- Secure the selected attachment onto the handle. To interchange between the attachments, refer to the ‘Changing the Attachments’ section.
- Slide the switch to the heat setting suitable for your hair type to turn the appliance on. Please note: The blue LED light will illuminate to indicate the ionic feature is activated.
- After use, slide the switch to the ‘0’ position to switch off and unplug the appliance.
- Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
Changing the Attachments
- Place the attachment onto the handle and line up the two indents with the buttons on the handle.
- Push the attachment onto the handle until it clicks into place.
- To remove an attachment, press and hold the two buttons on the side of the appliance and pull the attachment away from the handle.
Large Oval Volumising & Shaping Brush Attachment
- Place the brush head underneath a section of hair, close to the scalp and hold for a few seconds to boost volume at the roots.
- Use the brush head to lift the hair at the roots as you dry.
- Slowly move the brush head down through the hair, as you reach the end of the hair section, rotate the airstyler slightly towards your face to curl the ends under.
- For a lasting style, select the cool setting ‘*’ on warm hair whilst holding the brush head at the roots.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Drying Nozzle Attachment
- Use the drying nozzle attachment to remove excess moisture prestyling by directing the airflow onto the hair and moving the airflow around the head.
Straightening Brush Attachment
- Place the brush head under a section of hair, close to the scalp with the firm bristles pointing upwards.
- Use your other hand to pull the hair section taut against the brush head until the firm bristles penetrate through the hair.
- Gently glide the brush head through the section creating tension and control through the hair to straighten the section.
- As the brush head nears the end of the hair section, turn the brush head under to give shape at the ends of the hair.
- For added control, place your other hand over the brush head as you glide down the hair section.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Smoothing Cushion Brush Attachment
- Place the brush head under a section of hair, close to the scalp with the soft flexible bristles pointing upwards.
- Use your other hand to pull the hair section taut against the brush head until the bristles penetrate through the hair.
- Gently glide the brush head through the section of hair to remove knots and curls and smooth as you dry.
- For added control, place your other hand over the brush head as you glide down the hair section.
- To finish your style and smooth the top of the hair, place the brush on the top of the hair section and brush as normal.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Heat Settings
There are 2 heat settings plus a cool setting. Use the cool setting on warm
hair to set your style. Slide the switch to the first position to select the
cool setting ‘*’, the second position for the low heat ‘I’, and the third
position for the high heat ‘II’. If you have delicate, fine, bleached or
colored hair, use the lower heat setting. For thicker hair, use the higher
heat setting.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
To help keep your appliance in the best possible condition, follow the steps below:
- Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool. To clean the outside of the appliance, wipe with a damp cloth. Make sure that no water enters the appliance and it is completely dry before use.
- Do not wrap the lead around the appliance, instead coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the powerpoint.
- Always unplug after use.
Cleaning the Rear Filter
- Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
- Using a soft brush, clean any hair and other debris from the filter.

This BaByliss appliance is guaranteed for consumer use for 3 years and is only
valid within the United Kingdom.
This guarantee covers consumer use only i.e. defects occurring under normal
use within the home from date of purchase or date of delivery, whichever is
later. If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or
manufactures within 12 months from the date of purchase, to avoid delays and
unnecessary inconvenience, where possible please return the product to the
point of purchase for an exchange. If the product develops a fault due to
defects in materials or manufacture after 12 months from the date of purchase,
and within the guarantee period, Conair UK After Sales Service will repair or
replace the product.
Exclusions
This guarantee will no longer be valid meaning that The Conair Group Ltd will
not be liable to repair or replace your product where:
- The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other than that which is marked on the product or advised within this instruction booklet
- The appliance has been purchased from an unauthorized stockist*
- The appliance is used for professional/non-domestic usage
- Repairs or alterations have been attempted by unauthorized persons
- The failure of the appliance is a direct result of misuse
- The failure is a result of not following the instructions for use.
This guarantee does not cover any cosmetic damage due to misuse of the product
nor any damage to persons or property that occurs because of product misuse.
