Product Usage Instructions

1. Before starting the installation, read and understand all the instructions provided.
2. Check and inventory all the parts included in the package. If any parts are missing, contact the technical support line.
3. Remove Stock Exhaust System:
   • Raise the vehicle using a hoist or rack. If not available, use jack stands to support the vehicle.
   • Allow the vehicle to cool completely before touching any factory engine components.
   • Cut the tailpipe at the muffler exit and remove the tailpipe section from the vehicle.
   • Disassemble the wire hangers from isolators and remove the muffler section from the vehicle.
4. Install Flowmaster Exhaust System:
   • Apply an anti-seize compound to threaded fasteners for a secure installation.
   • Ensure that every slip fit connection in the kit seats 3 inches deep, except for muffler connections which should seat 2 inches deep. Mark the slip fit components accordingly.
   • Place the factory ball clamp onto the inlet pipe and connect it to the catalytic converter. Insert the wire hanger into the isolator and tighten the ball clamp.
   • Connect the muffler to the inlet pipe and tighten the clamp enough for adjustment. Place clamps onto the muffler outlets.
   • Route the left and right pipes over the axle and connect them to the muffler. Insert their wire hangers into isolators and tighten the clamps enough for adjustment.
   • Place clamps onto the exit pipe and connect it to the over-axle pipes. Insert the wire hanger into the rubber hanger and tighten the clamps enough for later adjustment.
   • Adjust all exhaust components for fit, maintaining clearance and compensating for suspension travel and vibration. Tighten allclamps.
   • Optional: Secure slip-fit connections with a 1-inch tack weld and apply high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
5. Congratulations! The installation of your Flowmaster Performance Exhaust System is now complete.

OVERVIEW

1. Take a moment to read and understand these instructions before installing your Flowmaster performance system.

   • NOTE: Please inventory all parts now before continuing and if necessary, report any missing items to our tech line. This will avoid potenatilly stranding your vehicle until any missing replacement parts arrive.
     REMOVE STOCK EXHAUST SYSTEM:

2. Raise vehicle up on a hoist or rack to working height. If you don’t have access to a hoist or rack, support vehicle with jack stands.
   WARNING: Avoid serious burns! Allow your vehicle me to coolcompletely before touching any factory engine components.
   To ease preparation and installation of your new kit:

   • Apply penetrating lubricant to mounts, bolts and clamps before you remove them.
   • Use stands as necessary to support parts as you detach them from your vehicle and again as you install new parts.

3. Cut tailpipe at muffl er exit. Disassemble hanger wires from isolators and remove tailpipe section from vehicle.

4. Support muffler and disassemble wire hangers from isolators. Remove and retain (release tab to remove) ball clamp, disconnect inlet pipe at cat. converter and remove muffler section from vehicle.
   INSTALL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST SYSTEM:

5. Apply anti-seize compound to threaded fasteners for a more secure install.

   • NOTE: The image in this step is intended for illustrative purposes only and may or may not accurately reflect components included in your kit.

6. Every slip fit connection in this kit must seat 3″ deep except for muffler connections which must seat 2″ deep. Find all slip fit components in your kit and mark them accordingly so your Flowmaster exhaust system fits properly onto your vehicle.

7. Place factory ball clamp (removed step 4) onto inlet pipe (1) then connect it to catalytic converter. Insert wire hanger in isolator and tighten ball clamp. Place clamp (6) onto end of inlet pipe.

8. Connect muffler (3) to inlet pipe. Tighten clamp just enough to allow for adjustment then place (×2) clamps (7) onto muffler outlets.

9. Route left (3) and right (4) pipes over axle then connect them to muffler. Insert their wire hangers into isolators then tighten clamps just enough to allow for adjustment.

10. Place (×2) clamps (7) onto exit pipe (5) then connect it to over axle pipes. Insert wire hanger into rubber hanger then tighten clamps just enough to allow for later adjustment.

11. Adjust exhaust components for fit; maintaining ½” clearance and compensating for suspension, travel and vibration, then tighten all clamps. Finally, fit (×4) hanger keepers (8) onto each sideways hanger.

12. Recommended: Secure slip-fit connections with a 1-inch tack weld then spray high-temp paint over each weld to prevent rust and premature corrosion.
