Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard, this product will, if used according to these instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS & CAUTIONS. USE THE PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.

SAFETY

1.1. GENERAL SAFETY

√ Ensure the lamp is fully charged before initial use.
x DO NOT turn the torch on when it is being charged.
x  DO NOT shine directly into your, other person’s or animal’s eyes.
x  DO NOT allow children to use the torch.
x DO NOT handle or move the torch whilst it is being charged.
x DO NOT use the torch if you suspect that the battery or the torch casing is damaged.
x DO NOT leave battery in a discharged state, recharge battery immediately. Before storage, fully recharge the battery, subsequently recharge the battery at least once every six months of non-use.1.2.
1.2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Use only the USB charging lead supplied to charge the battery.
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to read, understand and comply with the following electrical instructions:
You must ensure the risk of electric shock is minimised by the installation of appropriate safety devices.
An RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) should be incorporated in the main distribution board. We also recommend that an RCD
(Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical products, particularly portable equipment which is plugged into an electrical supply not protected by an RCCB.
You must also read and understand the following instructions concerning electrical safety.
1.2.1. The Electricity At Work Act 1989 requires all portable electrical appliances, if used on business premises, to be tested by a qualified electrician, using a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT), at least once a year.
1.2.2. The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 makes owners of electrical appliances responsible for the safe condition of the appliance and the safety of the appliance operator. If in any doubt about electrical safety, contact a qualified electrician.
1.2.3. You must ensure that you:
√ Inspect the cable and connector for wear and damage to ensure items are safe before connecting to the power supply.
x DO NOT use if worn or damaged.
1.3 BATTERY SAFETY
WARNING! To reduce the risk of burns or fire:
x DO NOT Attempt to open, disassemble, modify or service the battery pack.
x DO NOT Crush, puncture, short external contacts or dispose of in fire or water.
x DO NOT Expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°).
√ Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product.
√ Recycle or dispose of used battery as stipulated by local regulation.
If the electrolyte in the cells gets on your skin thoroughly wash with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with cool water and seek immediate medical attention.

INTRODUCTION

5W COB LED Striptlight along front of adjustable headband with 3W SMD spotlight on one side. Features auto-sensor which is activated by pressing the sensor button next to the power button. Supplied with USB Type-C charging lead.

OPERATION

4.1. Remove USB cover on the rear of the lamp unit to reveal the USB charging point and insert the power cable.
4.2. Plug the cable into an appropriate power source. Charging will take approximately 2.5 hr.
4.3. When fully charged the Power LED will change from red to green.
4.4. When charged, remove USB cable and replace the USB cover.
4.5. Adjust the head band size for a comfortable and secure fit using the adjusters
4.6. The unit has five operating modes. These are On/Off, Strip Light 100%, Strip Light 30%, Torch 100%, Torch 30%.
4.7. To switch the unit on, press On/Off Mode Selector and the Strip Light will illuminate at 100%. Press the Selector again, and the Strip Light will reduce to 30%. Press the Selector again and the Torch will illuminate at 100%. Press the Selector again and the Torch will reduce to 30%. A further press on the Selector will turn the unit off.
4.8. To turn the Motion Sensor on, press the Motion Sensor Selector. The Power LED will illuminate to half red and half green.
4.9. The Sensor is activated by covering the Motion Sensors on the side of the lamp unit. Press the Motion Sensor Selector to turn the function off.

MAINTENANCE

5.1. Keep the torch clean by wiping with a damp cloth.
5.2. Store torch in a dry childproof area.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids according to local regulations.
WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
BATTERY REMOVAL
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd are required to inform potential purchasers of products containing batteries (as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak’s registered compliance scheme. Jack Sealey Ltd’s Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00705.
