Packing List

Battery installation

1. Use the cross screwdriver to remove the four screws covering the chicken house controller.
   Remove screws
   

2. Open the cover of the controller, disconnect it from the the power wiring and motor wiring of the bottom box.

3. Use a cross screwdriver to remove the pressure plate in the top of the battery compartment in the bottom box.

4. Take out the battery compartment in the bottom box, and install the battery according to the battery polarity direction on the battery compartment.

5. After the battery is installed, reconnect the power wiring and motor wiring on the cover of the control box to install the cover of the controller

Install the door frame

1. Splicing track A with track B. 2.2

2. Mark the mounting position of the rail and the controller according to the requirements of the mounting size.

3. Place the spliced track on the marked position of the track with the track notch facing Theodor and fasten it with screws.

4. Unfold the door panel with the door panel hinges facing outwards and the drawstring hole facing up, and place the door panel into the track from the top along the track slot.

5. Connect the drawstring of the controller to the drawstring fixing hole on the door panel, install the controller at the marked position and fix it with screws.

Controller settings

Initial interface display

The initial interface displays the current timer time and power.
Note: When using for the first time, you should enter the settings to complete the timer time setting and door travel learning.

Adjust main clock time

Setting open time
When the main clock time reaches the set time, the door will
automatically open, and the door open/close timing function canbeset.

Setting close time
When the main clock time reaches the set time, the door will
automatically close, and the door open/close timing function canbeset.

Door calibration
Manual learning can be performed according to actual application scenarios.

Adjust light sensitivity parameter
You can query the current light-sensing value, adjust the light-sensing parameters for opening the door and for closing the door.

Light sensor activation settings
It can be set to turn on/off the light-sensing automatic opening/closing function.

Motor resistance setting
Set the resistance when the motor pulls up, which plays protective role, and the value can be adjusted appropriately for different door panels.

Factory default

• Press and hold the SET button into MENU.
• Press UP or Down to select “CLOCK” interface.
• Press SET to enter the setting.
• Press UP or DOWN to adjust the hour.
• Press SET to save.
• Press UP or DOWN to adjust the minutes.
• Press SET to save, complete the timer time setting.

Door calibration

• Press and hold the SET button into MENU.
• Press UP or DOWN to select “LEARN start”.
• Press SET to enter the setting.
• In the “Open the door” interface, press and hold UP until the door is fully opened .
• Release the UP button when the door is fully opened.
• Press SET to save the open limit position.
• In the “Close the door” interface, press and hold DOWN until the door is fully closed .
• Release the UP button when the door is fully closed.
• Press SET to save the close limit position.
• Press SET again on the “Learning to complete” interface to save the data.
• The display will exit the menu and back to the initial interface.

Note:

1. When the coop door is fully opened, there should be a gap of 7-10cm(2.7-3.9inches)between the top of the coop door and the bottom of the control box.
2. During the travel learning, you can press and hold SET to cancel the travel learning

Enable manually opening

• In the initial interface of the coop “Chicken Coop”.

• Press UP to enable the manually opening, then open the door to it’ s maximum opening limit position.

• The door can be stopped by pressing SET during manually opening.

• Press DOWN to enable the manually closing, then close the door to it’ s maximumclosinglimit
  position.

• The door can be stopped by pressing SET during manually closing .
  Note: Need to complete the door calibration before opening and closing the door

Automatic opening/closing setting
The following automatic door opening/closing options can be freely combined and independentlyset. For example, you can turn it on regularly in the morning and turn it off at night with light sensor; or turnit on in the morning and turn it off at night with light sensor.
After entering the menu, press UP or DOWN to select the setting option you want.

• OPEN TIME
• CLOSE TIME
• LIGHT

Timed door opening setting (the initial state is closed, the time is 08:00)
Press and hold the SET button into MENU.

• Press UP or DOWN to select “OPEN TIME”.
• Press SET to enter the setting. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the hour.
• Press SET to save. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the minutes.
• Press SET to save. Press UP or DOWN to adjust whether to start timing door opening
• ON–start the function; OFF–close the function
• Press SET to save.

Timed door closing setting (the initial state is closed, the time is 08:00 )

• Press and hold the SET button into MENU.
• Press UP or DOWN to select “CLOSE TIME”.
• Press SET to enter the setting. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the hour.
• Press SET to save. Press UP or DOWN to adjust the minutes.
• Press SET to save.
• Press UP or DOWN to adjust whether to start timing door closing
• ON–enable the function; OFF–disable the function
• Press SET to save.

Light sensor enable setting (initial state is disabled)

• Press and hold the SET button into MENU.
• Press UP or DOWN to select ”LIGHT”.
• Press SET to enter the setting “OPEN” whether to activate the door opening light sensor
• Press UP or DOWN to set whether to enable the door opening light sensor. ON — enable thefunction;
• OFF — disable the function.
• Press SET to enter the setting “OPEN” whether to activate the door closing light sensor.
• Press UP or DOWN to set whether to enable the door closing light sensor. ON — start thefunction;
  OFF — close the function. Press SET to save.

Exit the menu

• Press UP or DOWN to select “Exit”.
• Press SET to exit to the initial interface.

Other Settings

Adjust the light sensor

• Press and hold SET to enter the menu.

• Press UP or DOWN to select LIGHT SENSOR SET.

• Press SET to enter LIGHT SENSOR SET internal menu.

• Press UP or DOWN to select the reading the light value.

• Press SET to read the current light value, and adjust the light sensor setting according to thecurrent
  light value.

• Light sense internal menu.

• OPEN: 500(Set the opening light value)

• 300(Read the current ambient light value)

• CLOSE: 800(Set the closing light value)

• Exit

• Light sensor: adjust the sensor trigger value for opening/closing.

• To adjust the trigger value of opening/closing, navigate to the “>” symbol to select OPENor CLOSE, press the SET button, and then use the UP or DOWN button to change the relevant parameters, andthen press the SET button to save the parameters.

• Opening: Min=0 Max=999 Default parameter=500

• Closing: Min=0 Max=999 Default parameter=500
  Note: [1] Current light value < Opening trigger value, the door will automatically open; Current light value > Closing trigger value, the door will automatically close; Closing trigger value <Current light value< Opening trigger value, the door will have no command. (The darker the light, the higher the value; the stronger the light, the lower the value.)

• Do not block the sensor

Resistance of motor setting

• Press and hold SET to enter the menu.

• Press UP or DOWN to select RESISTANCE.

• Press SET to enter the setting.

• Press UP or DOWN to adjust the resistance value.

• (Adjust according to the weight of the door panel, the heavier the door will increase the resistancevalue, and the reduction of the door can appropriately reduce the resistance value, andadjust
  according to the actual situation)

• Press SET to save. Note: The higher the resistance value is, the greater the force will be, and vice versa.

Factory setting initialization

• Press and hold SET to enter the menu.
• Press UP or DOWN to select RESET .
• Press and hold SET, the interface refreshes to enter the initial interface, the initialization is successfu

About the batteries

• Do not use 9V batteries, they will damage the device.
• Please always use 4pcs AA batteries(alkaline battery only). Prohibit the use of lithium batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries (because cold/hot ambient temperature will drop their voltage)
• The current battery level is displayed in the upper right corner of the initial interface.
• The screen will remain on without display when the battery needs to be replaced.
• When you change the battery, all your settings will be saved in the memory, and you can useit just bypowering up again.
  Note: The standby time of different batteries is different.( Alkaline battery has longer standby time.)

Important Tips

If the door does not move when you press UP or DOWN, please check whether the motor wiresare connected.
If the door moving direction is opposite from the which shown on the operation button, please check that the winding direction of the motor should be counterclockwise.
